I have a couple of plants that when I was trimming inside, I noticed a powdery like substance coming out of a rotted bud. I cut it off, and threw it out. My question is, is it dangerous to even be around the rotted bud. Am I at risk of a lung infection/ illness? I haven’t smoked any, and don’t plan on it

my biggest out door girl is about 5 1/2 feet tall right now. this is my first year so its more of a trial run. my biggest ones are nice and thick. i am worried about mold when the time comes. i made sure to give plenty of space between plants and they all have good air flow. i guess we will see what happens in a couple months.

Just curious, is it easy it see? And what would even happen if you missed some and smoked it? I’m now concerned about my last grow.

I keep getting seeded outdoor. Can I spray anything preflower ?

  21. John Guarnera on October 1, 2022 at 6:36 am

This was very very difficult too watch. I got mold. If you grow out side you get mold. That’s why I mitigated it by being a madman and converting the plants, lightening, led panel and I tubes, reflectors and fans

Funny you should post this video. I am a new grower. I recently lost about 60% of my second harvest to bud rot. There is a surprising lack of content on this subject

Hey dude I’m a new grower from Central Virginia. Coming up on my first harvest here in 2 weeks – you give me so much info and inspiration!

  28. Tad on October 1, 2022 at 6:49 am

I hope your growers market is going good. The Oregon market got crushed.

  29. John Guarnera on October 1, 2022 at 6:49 am

I love you guys because they are in the general area as I am. So I can see what that these cats are doing on their awesome blossoms and depending on the strain it may correlate to where mine should be. This is my third year growing. These cats help a lot. Wish I could grow professionally with someone.

ooof is it possible save buds already in the curing process that showed no signs of mold previously? I am having a hard time telling if its mold, or trichomes. I do notice there is kind of a mold or mildew smell, wife says its my imagination.

  31. John Johnson on October 1, 2022 at 6:51 am

Yes safe Jorge Cervantes. I washed with atomizer and then a diluted isopropyl alcohol watered down then obviously spray with ph water. Don’t let drying inbetween spray session. On huge out door you have to catch it quick. Plus it usually comes from the ground up.

  32. Bill on October 1, 2022 at 6:51 am

    Thanks for the info.
