42:52 This Grow Has Been Exposed… See you next time.

Growing Exposed is back with another exciting new episode. This time we’re on a quest for craft in beautiful British Columbia, Canada as we take viewers inside Dunn Cannabis, one of the country’s premiere micro cannabis facilities.

Over a game of poker, our tour guide Justin Cooper will introduce us to Logan, the owner of Dunn Cannabis and hear his story of how he quit a life of professional poker to build a pristine cultivation facility that focused on growing only the finest quality cannabis. He explains how he saw opportunity and stability in the cannabis industry and breaks down on the challenges he faced while starting his legal cannabis business in Canada. We hear firsthand how Health Canada has impacted growing cannabis in the country and get tips on how they found success.

We start our exclusive garden tour with lead grower Dave Falkins in the propagation room. Dunn Cannabis was one of the first micro cannabis growers to be approved by Health Canada. They are a smaller grow focused on growing the cleanest and finest quality cannabis for the cannabis connoisseur. This is not the Budweiser of bud!! Justin and Dave talk about the history of the plant and how today’s technology has changed how growers grow.

Dave walks us through the process they use to grow their garden and gives us tips that even novice growers can use in their own grows. He talks lighting, humidity and trimming to achieve peak performance. He further explains low-stress training (LST) which is a method of training plants to grow horizontally, rather than vertically. This is achieved by tying plants down when they are young.

This week in Teachings of the Garden Sage, David Robinson gives us his take on craft cannabis. He shares that the definition of craft is to make something skillfully with the hands. He breaks down how plants grow a psychic connection to their caretakers and how that impacts craft cannabis.

In today’s episode we also visit Twister HQ to learn all about their trimming products. Purists might believe that hand trimmed is the only way to go and Twister is aiming to change their minds. Brent Anderson from Keirton Inc. explains the differences and advantages to the various ways of drying and trimming cannabis, and goes into detail over how the industry has changed over the years. He shares some of the technology that saves consumers from “moldy weed”.

Finally, we go back to Dunn to check out the craft cannabis grow in all its glory. They are focused on quality product and it shows by their attention to detail every step of the way.

That’s all we had time for in this episode of Growing Exposed. For extended versions of our tours and more exclusive interviews stay locked on growingexposed.com

  9. Christian Gonzalez on October 11, 2022 at 6:54 am

As someone who considers himself a "craft" cultivator and more so genetics preservation I find it hard to believe Dunn master grower uses very little if any at all of the liquid Green Planet nutes. I actually thought it was fun and basically obvious to other connoisseur cultivators and he made that clear with his true cannabis
elitist smirk. I cant imagine any cultivator with elite genetics and above average grow skills to still be using liquid nutrient lines.

A complete example of what craft producer can exceed in high quality product when the right people are in the house every day. We missed an essential part of the process in this episode, the actual trim, storage, and branding of this new product so people can inquire into this product! You hyped all the chemicals, glasses, but not the name of the new products! whats up with that player!!?

    Awesome

Best way to dispell the rumor of hand trim versus machine. Take a bud that is hand trimmed and a bud that is machine trimmed and put them under a micro scope. And look at the way the trichombs have been damaged on the out side. That right there will yell you which method is better at persevering medicine.

Lot of leaf canoeing in bud room. Is this optimal ?

  14. Roc B on October 11, 2022 at 7:00 am

Great video. But HPS is outdated lighting tech. Saying they’re using the best quality lighting tech is false. LED tech is here!(strips, boards, racks) Stop using 20 yr old outdated HPS lighting tech. TOP line Samsung for diodes, and Meanwell for drivers to power. This whole craft cannabis garden could be vastly improved by upgrading to LED tech. They could be saving 50% on energy cost alone. While getting even PAR numbers, less heat in the flower room, all while using less energy. Once HPS bulb shits the bed, you have to replace it. When one diode on a LED light shits, your light is still 95% functional. HPS are not an even balance of light. You have hot spots on your garden. Upgrading to LED lighting tech will make all the difference. Using the right LED tech properly, a grower can produce 1-2grams per watt.

  16. CaliGrowerCronicSmoker on October 11, 2022 at 7:01 am

Lmao so if you had to sale it cheap it’s no longer great quality.

  17. Bingo Baby on October 11, 2022 at 7:03 am

Craft really should be only designated to stuff grown fully organic. All fertilizers and inputs created in house… I.e. compost… using synthetic salt nutes is not craft IMO.

1:30 I can’t stand pretentious pricks like this cannabis is cannabis whether you’re growing it there or somewhere else percentages or percentages yours is no better or stronger than anybody else’s because a guy right down the street can have the same exact strength as yours and quality

  34. SoulSeeker 311 on October 11, 2022 at 7:22 am

It doesn’t have to go through all that weighting. The government is just being petty little pricks about it. Just because they are still following old prohibition laws. And discrimination practices.

If the government actually knew anything about it they would know the stems and fan leaves are pretty much useless outside of eating them for food nutrition or for textile products like hempcrete rope clothing….

  35. Eric Challender on October 11, 2022 at 7:23 am

  43. MrPeregrines on October 11, 2022 at 7:32 am

    Too Much Product Placement!

  44. SoulSeeker 311 on October 11, 2022 at 7:34 am

Love how he thinks his flower room is perfect. Yet the plants are showing signs of to much light and infared heat. From that hard tacoing of the leaves. And the leaf tips are all burnt. So they have been over feeding.

  45. BMWO Canada on October 11, 2022 at 7:34 am

It’s a good documentary. This made my day.

  46. Jesse Vang on October 11, 2022 at 7:36 am

I prefer the Green Bros. Trimmer. The twister is good for larger outdoor operations that need acres trimmed at a time
