  9. Dale Ozwald on September 6, 2023 at 1:19 am

It probably has something to do with the fact the people who own, manage and work in the Marijuana dispensaries are racist.
I missed "Nightly News" and got stuck watching a few minutes of "Next".

  10. Rick on September 6, 2023 at 1:20 am

None of it’s worth more than $30 an ounce….

  11. Roger Komula on September 6, 2023 at 1:22 am

I remember $400 an ounce, so waah.

  12. Outdoor freedom on September 6, 2023 at 1:23 am

I admit it, back in the 60s and 70s weed was nothing like it is today but it was cheap. Hell, for years most people had no idea it would bud. Soon as the plant was big enough it got cut and dried then smoked. Today they turned it into a science and charge astronomical prices. I no longer smoke it but I question why people don’t just grow their own?

  13. Jordan Tiller on September 6, 2023 at 1:24 am

it’s only going to get tougher especially when federal legalization comes around.

  14. Jacob Tofft on September 6, 2023 at 1:29 am

if the locals here were more of men ans less of hipsters… then the OG local growers should eliminate the outsiders coming in and ruining the industry. pussies need a MOBBSTER approach on this. I would break in an set 🔥 to these non local grows??? I have the ballz

  15. jay gallant on September 6, 2023 at 1:30 am

And to top it off, anyone with a little time and half a brain is just growing their own.

  17. Jim Forrester on September 6, 2023 at 1:31 am

Bullshit cut profits maybe but hurt at $40 and eighth ounce you can not lose out when you grow and sell hell drug dealers are rich and the have MANY middle men before it hits the street taking their cut and the price is the same at half the price they would be doing better then the profits from drug cartels

  18. Patrick on September 6, 2023 at 1:32 am

Curiosity boom in the beginning. (Including mass tourism) then followed by plenty down time 2020-2021. Yeah high water mark is finally receding. What a wild wave it was too 🤩🥳

  21. Matt D on September 6, 2023 at 1:38 am

Who cares, it should be free. Everyone should just be growing it themselves. It should have never been called medicine and just been OK recreational.

  22. Jacob Tofft on September 6, 2023 at 1:38 am

I get 1200 a pound at home in my back yard. the biggest thing here is qaulity. everyone wants to be in the business but not everyone know how to grow high qaulity CLEAN weed. just a bunch of spoiled rich punks …. money doesn’t grow good weed its time and dedication that wins. too many licenses issued..it’s the greedy state that keeps taking peoples money. they should lower the limit of shops by at leaste half and that solve the problem here

  23. Ferdnand Freeholi on September 6, 2023 at 1:39 am

if you want to ruin something just get the Government involved

  24. Paul on September 6, 2023 at 1:41 am

  25. Jacob Tofft on September 6, 2023 at 1:41 am

forces guys like me at home to compete with millions. dollar operation

  26. sam smith on September 6, 2023 at 1:41 am

In the 1960’s a quarter pound was $20-30 depending on quality. Of course that was on the black market.

  27. Clark Kent on September 6, 2023 at 1:41 am

Legal Drug Dealers i Never Thought i Would see the Day.😃😃😃

  28. Mark Novack on September 6, 2023 at 1:42 am

So after the years, did all of the taxes collected on cannabis change the country for the better? That used to be a major argument. An overwhelming public profit. How’s reality versus prediction?

  29. Barry Marootner on September 6, 2023 at 1:45 am

If only they could legalize coke and the US gov can quit making such a huge profit.

  30. mokotoko on September 6, 2023 at 1:45 am

Main stream weed sucks….give the money back to the home grower

  31. G Houston on September 6, 2023 at 1:46 am

I was trying to find this guy’s dispensary, I’d like to talk with him. Maybe I can ad some top quality cannabis to his dispensary . Wonder how I can get in touch with him.

  32. Stan Levox on September 6, 2023 at 1:47 am

You’re either early in the game to reap a profit or late in the game to complain.

  33. Lyran Kzinti on September 6, 2023 at 1:47 am

Weed is stupid. Denver has turned into a city dump downtown east. Colfax ever sense stupid amendment 64 passed. 😡😤I hope to see God shut down this stupid issue with weed! And Republicans need to act fast to make it illegal again and gag or barr amendment 64!!!!! Mad as hell about bums in our streets panhandling for weed when they are needed to work badly to fill in employment to police, fire dept, and hospitals. And other job positions No one is working due to stupid weed! Denver is trashed! No excuses!

  34. nonstoprollie on September 6, 2023 at 1:48 am

Support your local plug, fuck that bougie dumb rapper prices i see eights for $100 that’s pathetic and greedy. Cannabis isn’t a luxery its a medicine. Plus they got that tax on top of it nah ill stick to the black market shits always top quality for the low. This the real reason why recreational is failing is the greed.

  35. Brandon on September 6, 2023 at 1:48 am

    Hahahhahaha

  36. Brandon on September 6, 2023 at 1:50 am

I have been known to grow more than i can smoke. I give my surplus away.

  37. Cass Axiom on September 6, 2023 at 1:50 am

    still too expensive.

  38. Syn Ninja on September 6, 2023 at 1:52 am

Well there is too many growers, too many stores, too many options and not enough stoners to smoke it all…this is a message from your local stoner…lol 😂

  39. The observer on September 6, 2023 at 1:54 am

Excellent! Let’s keep it dropping until it’s just another produce, like lettuce. Part of it’s value was determined by the black market. You can’t have it both ways. If it’s going to be legalized, the price is going to drop. Deal with it. GROW YOUR OWN! Give it to your friends. I do. Free the herb.

  40. Thu Ya Kyaw Thu on September 6, 2023 at 1:55 am

    OG ❤

  41. Martin Ginsburg on September 6, 2023 at 1:56 am

Still Mafia controlled by us gov. Don’t limit the number of plants I can grow. Don’t stop me from selling it. When cheap pot costs the same as tomatoes then we know it is no longer controlled by the mafia. A pound of cheap pot is as easy to produce as a pound of tomatoes therefore the cost should be max $5/lb.

  42. 1000yrs ofpain on September 6, 2023 at 1:56 am

Good news for the consumers. Price went up crazy after it was legalize $30/g of wax. Now its only $10-15/g. Let it keep dropping.

  43. tim kahn on September 6, 2023 at 1:56 am

guys its a plant anyone can grow. 658 a pound . come on it was 20 an oz when it was a crime in the 70,s.

  44. BASIC Programmer on September 6, 2023 at 2:00 am

    Consider this:
How much would you pay for a pound of dandelion flowers?

    It’s a weed, too.

So… this is why the federal government wants to keep it illegal. Because it it becomes legal, it will become virtually free and hence untaxable, or at least bring in very low tax revenue.

It is easy to grow lots of weed.
It is not easy for everyone to brew their own beer or make their own grain alcohol.

  45. David Tomasello on September 6, 2023 at 2:01 am

The prices are going to continue to drop with the real poor quality that is coming out of the dispensaries ! That shit is a rip off.

  46. Benny Vega on September 6, 2023 at 2:04 am

Goodihopetheyallgoout of business they jave noright taking away the freedom ofenterprize from otheramericans thatwant tomake money the government thinks they can takeaway the poor mans way to earn aliving fuck allofyou

  47. Daniel Abilez on September 6, 2023 at 2:04 am

It was expected. When you can buy it like cigarettes from state to state. Then you’re talking

  48. Wayne Johnson on September 6, 2023 at 2:06 am

It is not so much the volume but the fact that everyone is trying to undercut the next person that drives the price down. If they would form a co-op and get some organization and uniformity in the industry they could control the price better so everyone in the co-op would be making about the same per joint yet still turn their profit.

  49. Joe Knightus on September 6, 2023 at 2:06 am

50$ an oz here. Ha. That’s 20$ more than what I paid in 82. You guys charged outrageous amounts for grams. Sorry, those of us who lived in the 70s and 80’s already knew how to grow their own…

  50. The observer on September 6, 2023 at 2:06 am

Switch to growing other herbs, flowers, vegetables. PIVOT! Quit your whining.
