Was Legalizing Weed a Mistake?

A new disease called “cannabis hyperemesis syndrome” is on the rise due to increased marijuana use. In this video we explain the science behind what is going on. Some scientists think that the legalization of marijuana may be under threat, other think awareness is all the matters – let’s see how it all plays out.

I’ve used cannabis for half my life and in that time have only come across one individual who had this . They were someone who didn’t work so they were able to sit there smoking all day everyday. I doubt that this would happen to someone who uses cannabis moderately

nausea is still better than being arrestedπŸ₯Έand the high concetration of thc in proportion to cbd is actually something important that has to be taken in account of those cases.

Can you please make a video on talcum powder’s effects on the body.

  4. @zaistu9087 on January 31, 2024 at 12:54 am

It’s because people keep spreading false information that weed is completely safe and non addictive, which is the biggest lie I’ve ever heard

  5. @godofredocuz3783 on January 31, 2024 at 12:55 am

Constant dehydration and y’all just smoke and abuse it and smoke more than needed.. im not surprised . I’ve never had this and I’ve smoked for years on a daily basis

    They’re just overdosing

  7. @Zackaryyrakcaz on January 31, 2024 at 12:56 am

Legalizing weed is a political issue, not a scientific one. The collection of data and results doesn’t mean people will choose what you consider "more rational."

  8. @Amonkai on January 31, 2024 at 12:59 am

    And how many dead?

  9. @JoyTheDorko on January 31, 2024 at 12:59 am

Don’t think legalization was a mistake, don’t think this raises that question for me. But I’m so happy to have research being done now.

Man sucks for the people that get it. Frankly id just do myself in πŸ˜‚ the help i get from weed is too much, but also i dont smoke that much and i smoke alot. Seems like the people getting this have a massive self control problem

Never ming about huge sanitory additive catalogs and savvy synergy-boosted recipes designed to PA$$ except the test of sensitive insect antennas… The perfect crime made possible because astronomical numbers make it impossible to debunk.

  15. @myuzu_ on January 31, 2024 at 1:08 am

This is the kind of information that would reduce usage, not incarceration and scare tactics.

  16. @tonydfixertonydfixer9113 on January 31, 2024 at 1:10 am

NO! The mistake was illegalising to begin with, you can say was it a misake to illegalise alcohol the 1st time. Illegality of weed was racially motivated.

Daily cannabis user here and Combat Veteran. It fights everything I need it to, doesn’t create new problems and is medicine I actually trust. Currently living as the best version of myself and I’m a non-drinker. I went through the traditional gauntlet of pills and they only made me worse.

As someone who lives with chronic pain, in a non-legal state…it’s not a mistake to allow people to live pain free without becoming addicted to opioids.

  21. @soupflood on January 31, 2024 at 1:13 am

I mean it’s not intended for you to consume it as if it were breakfast, lunch and dinner…

  22. @kyleherrera7511 on January 31, 2024 at 1:16 am

For those of you saying you have had CHS before, how high is your tolerance? I’ve been taking edibles for the past year every night (about 40mg), but 4 grams is significantly higher than that’s, so I’m curious as to how it’s happening to so many people

  23. @johnhatzinger141 on January 31, 2024 at 1:19 am

If you can make 8 LARGE joints from 4 grams your a wizard

  24. @WolfDarkrose on January 31, 2024 at 1:20 am

i do love this shit but like anything when something is made legal a lot of people who have zero self control or maybe im wrong but whats the old saying. " everything in moderation " addiction not only happens when a body becomes used to and works with this thing but when the mind grows a habit.. aka smoking a cig its just as much having the cig between your fingers as your body being dependent on the drug. ones mind and body in many cases need on some level to agree this is needed and wanted.. tho again i can be wrong.

  25. @shaunasugar on January 31, 2024 at 1:21 am

Starting in 2017, I smoked nearly every day. Then I stopped smoking weed in June 2023 due to moving to a non-recreational state and also due to a change of income. Since then I’ve only smoked on three occasions. I’ve never experienced a sickness like this just from marijuana, but I have friends who have claimed they get incredibly anxious or nauseous when they have tried weed. Most of them were beginner users that didn’t smoke very often. It’s interesting hearing how this condition presents mostly in daily/long term users.

  26. @Greenleaf99xl on January 31, 2024 at 1:22 am

Why do people gotta ruin it for others I use it everyday since a teen I’m 24 now and I’ve never had that happen it should stay legal make alcohol illegal instead that shit got people throwing up first time use so suck it up if weed does that then maybe you shouldn’t smoke it period .

As a lifelong user (67 years old) I am always trying to educate myself about how cannabis affects the human body over time. Thankfully, now that legalization has taken place, more research is possible. As for me personally, I am doing very well for my age, however, I found this new study reason for me to reevaluate my intake. Although I have never experienced vomiting, I have noticed my appetite changing. I have lost some weight since I generally eat when my body tells me to eat. With a lesser appetite, I can sometimes feel ok eating one meal a day. So, now I am contemplating cutting down my usage of cannabis or actually take a break from smoking for a period of time. Anyway, thank you for educating me and others about how cannabis can affect the human body. 🍻

  34. @user-iy2rm5se5m on January 31, 2024 at 1:32 am

WTH. Maybe they getting some flower with fungus. Ive been smoking since i was 11. I smoke exactly 1oz a week. Never have i had this issue. I need to include that i do take a week break every month.

  35. @DaaRusty on January 31, 2024 at 1:32 am

Too much of anything is bad. Everyone should learn one mantra for everything-Moderation.

  36. @intrusivethoughts7405 on January 31, 2024 at 1:33 am

I have been diagnosed with this a few times. I don’t think it should be considered a disease. Its more of a syndrome. Once treatment was sought, the vomiting subsides within 24 hrs. I am also in the industry. This issue is being worked on by changing the amount of cannabinoids found in certain strains. Its hard for ppl to wrap their minds around cannabis being harmful in any way. I will recommend this video to anyone i come across with this issue.

  37. @DVM8099 on January 31, 2024 at 1:34 am

This used to happen to me. Mostly when I’d go a while without smoking. By a while, I mean anywhere from a day, to just a few hours. Like when I woke up. It only would happen when I would smoke a lot. When I slowed down, I noticed it didn’t happen as often, if at all.

  38. @johnhatzinger141 on January 31, 2024 at 1:34 am

I had this in high-school wasn’t diagnosed but eventually stopped for a little and when went back never went back to the amount I used to smoke and I didn’t need to cause tolerance went down and instead of raising tolerance fast only using enough to feel it and that’s it

  39. @valerielhw on January 31, 2024 at 1:36 am

Pot also has benefits. I take pot gummies to control a chronic, idiopathic cough, and they really help. Nothing else actually works.

Like alcohol, caffeine and even over-the-counter pain relievers, _moderation_ is the key.

  40. @DeraldCannonJr on January 31, 2024 at 1:37 am

As a pot head I’m gonna keep right on smoking idc

  41. @TheGreatestHandle on January 31, 2024 at 1:37 am

obviously eatables and not controlling there intake at the start.. smoking it would never do that

  42. @darionpoprox on January 31, 2024 at 1:37 am

If 4gs a day does this to you….. quit (also 4gs is NOT 8 large joints πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚)

  43. @jaythomas6783 on January 31, 2024 at 1:38 am

Been smoking for 20 years never have I ever seen or heard of this

  44. @plantroom101 on January 31, 2024 at 1:38 am

4 grams per day is a lot!
What’s the average people smoke a day here??
    πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡(no boasting πŸ˜‚ )

  45. @BoboTheChimpTTV on January 31, 2024 at 1:39 am

had stomach issues for years. also been a smoker for years. doctors told me it was related to my weed use, and although i told some of the doctors that i did not smoke they all assumed this was what was bothering me. i was in pain and vomiting uncontrollably for months on end. I even gave up smoking for months as well, nothing seemed to help. turns out my appendix was inflamed and i had to have an emergency surgery. glad there is research on this subject, but doctors seem to lazily slap it onto patients in some cases such as mine. i am a heavy smoker, and fortunately have not smoked until ive had to scromit.

  46. @FourthDimensionalHillBilly on January 31, 2024 at 1:42 am

I’ve been using daily for about 10 years. I can attest to the anxiety part. No vomiting problems.

  47. @kreamedcorn on January 31, 2024 at 1:43 am

Consider this, had weed not been legalized how many people would be afraid to go to the hospital for weed related illnesses?

  48. @ojeda5577 on January 31, 2024 at 1:44 am

Ive been a chronic smok3r for 10 years lol i feel amazing ❀ lady ganj and I are for each other πŸŽ‰

  49. @MichaelJohnson-mo4em on January 31, 2024 at 1:47 am

Neem oil. It’s used as a pesticide in many commercial grown marijuana. It’s been the go to natural pesticide since legalization. Look up the side effects of neem.
