When Canada legalized the use of cannabis in October 2018 after decades of prohibition, the goals were to improve safety and public health as well as to reduce access by youth, crime and the illegal market.
Five years later, public health experts say legalization hasn’t created any health benefits — but it has been linked to some serious concerns.
No one even buys legal cannabis in Vancouver British Columbia it’s such bad quality compared to the black market
What about the study/studies showing no causal link between marijuana use and schizophrenia? What about not going with the fucking pop psychology idea that it causes schizophrenia? How do you get these numbers? 26 percent? Don’t believe everything you hear from these people. There was a study in fucking 2019 that determined there was no link. Obviously, one study isn’t definitive, but they’re coming at us with these stats as if they are unequivocally factual.
These claims are absurd… the problem with big baba is addiction, not cannabis… in a harm reduction lense cannabis beats all other substances…
Do you really expect to be read here if not serving the goals of CBC/SRC exactly? Can you avoid ghost shaming on the basis of identity and still post some alternative truths they hide under the carpet all too easily without even caring to analize?… Welcome to the ghosts club where the raw model is about good old cheating & more. Prohition was never over anyway, just painted in fancy colours to deceive the average Joe who’s happy having a truly addictive, cancerigene drug sold in grocery stores: alcohol. Now remember the faith of Athena Gervais in Qc/Can, who drowned drunk behind her school…

Too many new 60 year old+ smokers calling 911 over a panic attack I bet.
I’m 43 years old and I have a prescription for medical cannabis. I find smoking to bring me peace. I would like to help keep developing human brains away from weed, street drugs, and alcohol, but my solution is different…I think we need to create a human-made mycorrhizal network to ENSURE safe housing, clean water, healthy food, quality education, and full health care for EVERYONE, while planning future development to be in harmony with the Earth and with each other…so people could get paid a living wage working towards an ensured basic standard of living, while achieving self actualization in the process…it may sound like too much but it is possible with our current technology.
You seriously think hospitalizations are up due to marijuana? Just because more are using it, doesn’t mean that’s the cause. More are using it simply because it’s legal and way easier to get. Plus you don’t have to meet some sketchy plug in a back parking lot or his creepy house. I think we all know the true reason why hospitalizations are up
The psychosis more comes from heavy pot smokers who do nothing but smoke large amounts of weed all day. Someone having psychosis off like 10-20 mg thc is very rare and tbh you’re probably pretty old. If you be smart with it and use it properly you’ll be fine. What about all the health risks alcohol brings? What about marijuana vs alcohol withdrawals? Alcohol is significantly worse than marijuana yet nothing is ever said about alcohol except promotion and celebration. What about cigarettes? There are so many things that are far worse than weed yet all you do is change the branding to boring colours or tell kids to stay away. People who say marijuana should be illegal, should have the same mindset with alcohol and cigarettes. If not than you shouldn’t be speaking
