Outdoor Grow Calendar For Marijuana Plants: A Complete Guide | How to Grow Cannabis Outdoors EP2

Growing cannabis outdoors is a year long experience. In this episode of How to Grow Cannabis Outdoors, Nikki and Swami break down the outdoor cannabis grow calendar and what you can look forward to each month of your grow.

They’ll help you schedule and categorize everything you need to do to get ready for your first marijuana grow of the year.

Depending on your locale and the size of your garden, they recommend getting your soil ready in January, prepping your garden, and choosing your seeds. February should see you getting your soil ready with amendments. You may also need to set up a cold frame to protect your plants from the cold evenings.

They recommend sprouting your seeds indoors once you can see that spring is well underway around April. Sow your sprouted seeds, move them outdoors and check your plants every day to sex them and remove males.

Late July will see the start of the vegetative stage, where you’ll get to top and train your cannabis plants as they begin to gain the bulk of their biomass. You’ll also need to set up your supports frames, something we’ll cover in-depth in a later episode.

Next, they’ll cover additional considerations, like your drying space, the perfect time to harvest cannabis, and how important proper weed curing is to your smoking experience.

Where I’m at I either have to have stuff vegging till it’s ready to go into flower with if the time frame before fall comes or do autoflowers outside summer is very short here and hot as hell and humid for the 4 months we get here sucks but I have my go to photos for this type of outdoor grow if your a thin leaf person like me Durban poison can handle very cold even mid high 40s for a time and if covered lower and a few others but this is the number one best sativa for colder climate outdoor runs freakshow can handle some cold ducksfoot varieties most from the Himalayan area and higher altitude work fine otherwise there’s tons of more indica leaning ones that are very cold tolerante

I live in MN and put them in the ground late because i recieved them late. I figure i have until mid october with this strain. Is this long enough for a photo growth period? Much appreciated

I live in Campeche. The lowest temperature is 15C average temp is 35c high temps are in the low 40’s and average humidity above 50%. Our light cycle doesn’t vary much. We have generally 12 hours of daylight through the year. The rainy season is from June to October. I would love any suggestions on what to plant and how. I would just like to get started in growing my own under the Sun.

  48. @KushDaddy333 on May 8, 2024 at 12:24 pm

    Thank you kindly.
This is one of the first times I’ve grown outdoors, (the last time was several years ago).
I was curious, as my lovely Sativa (Durban Poison) seemed to have begun budding earlier than I was expecting. But after watching this episode I discovered I’m right in schedule.
I love your channel folks! ❤️ Always great advice. And your suggestion to allow several months to properly cure the cannabis is right out of my own playbook. 👏
    Once again, Thank You.
Much love sent your way this day. Blessings to your whole crew. ❤
