Not to get all political, but I don’t think a company should get a tax break because they simply didn’t want to sell a *finished* product. Like, instead of paying to watch the movie, we’re theoretically paying higher tax dollars to bail out a corporation (except it’s not even really a bail out).

    Yes

I really wanna see that movie. I was offer for Disney to acquire coyote vs acme, because that movie looks similar to who framed roger rabbit. Despite that looney tunes were owned by Warner bros, i really want see that movie, unless Warner bros will change their mind. Disney has make a lot money with Sequels and live action remakes! But seriously, let’s go save that wile e coyote movie!

What’s your opinion on the netflix Sandman show, I’m excited for season 2 since the voice actor of Captain Price will be playing Destruction this season.

  7. @ZizZap4 on May 21, 2024 at 2:44 pm

Truly. I never understood the hype around Space Jam when I grew up with Looney Tunes: Back in Action.

  8. @luisjesus8668 on May 21, 2024 at 2:45 pm

Zaslav killed so many amazing projects, I’ll never forgive WB for killing Final Space and making it impossible to watch it legally

  9. @mertyuip06 on May 21, 2024 at 2:45 pm

Coyote v acme is good but what’s truly criminal is the cancellation of the Batman beyond movie that had the spider verse art style I’d kill a man to watch a second of that movie

  10. @badguynamedrenkai5284 on May 21, 2024 at 2:46 pm

Warner brother is no longer about releasing movies, its just about making the most money even if they have to squander franchises

  11. @sketch-eee4165 on May 21, 2024 at 2:46 pm

At this point, we already have a sequel idea. Coyote and Looney Tunes vs. Warner Bros.

  12. @SuperstitiousWolf on May 21, 2024 at 2:46 pm

they say they won’t release it because they think it won’t make enough money , yet not releasing it will make them 0 dollars

    Love this πŸ”₯

  14. @bajansamurai on May 21, 2024 at 2:49 pm

Considering this could be a great story idea but a poorly made film, and avoiding sinking millions more than its $70M production cost into marketing it, maybe it’s GENIUS to let the initial public outcry to #ReleaseCoyotevAcme to get traction and market itself πŸ˜‚

  15. @JulianLurain on May 21, 2024 at 2:51 pm

Hearing this guy say "Crushing a blunt" was not what I expected out of the Looney Tunes video but go off king

  16. @perunplague9794 on May 21, 2024 at 2:56 pm

If Coyote’s story is never told, he loses yet again.

  17. @bajansamurai on May 21, 2024 at 2:57 pm

I would admit I’d want to see this, but I’d also admit I wouldn’t be inclined to see it in theaters. For that it would live or die on marketing, which tells me that’s where their decision was made.

Its production cost was already $70M. Even if a modest $10M was the marketing budget they’d need to believe it could make at least $120M theatrically to break even (assuming theatres take only 1/3rd of revenue, and there are no other major percentage points owed out on backend deals). More than likely a $20M or more marketing budget is what would be needed, so weighing that against being open to selling it for what it cost actually makes sense to them, so they can break even.

Straight to streaming isn’t going to garner $70M+ in new sign ups to Max either, and that may still have a higher return needed because of a bit of marketing to actually let people know it’s hilarious (assuming it even is, because I’ve seen great premises to several movies that have poor execution and poorer jokes, and if they know that’s the case it would be idiotic to pump money into it).

Taking us out of the equation, it’s better for them to see if someone else would buy it at cost and take on the extra marketing expense. Hope isn’t 100% gone from ever seeing this, and time can only tell if WB/D would regret not promoting and releasing it themselves.

This is a PRIME EXAMPLE of how CEOs literally are blood suckers who do not actually help the companies they work for, they just grab cash for themselves and shareholders. F the business right

  23. @crazyfries987 on May 21, 2024 at 3:09 pm

Is this a comic or a movie?

  24. @kelzking8806 on May 21, 2024 at 3:11 pm

It’s kind of messed up that Warner Brothers can sit here and give a dude 50 million bonus while they shut down smaller companies and put millions of individuals out of work. I am boycotting Warner Brothers.

  25. @TheDsncurry on May 21, 2024 at 3:13 pm

I SAY-SAY! Boy!, GIVE US THE FUVKING MOVIE ALREADY I have been more hyped for this damn movie then a weasel in a hen house and you just gonna take it away like some type of greedy, greasy bandit!, stand up when I am speaking to you Warner brothers, your falling all over yourself! like you did when you renamed HBO max to just MAX; that’s the kinda thinking that’s making you do stupid, I say, stupid decisions like not releasing Coyote V. ACME.

  28. @nerdsanctuary2298 on May 21, 2024 at 3:14 pm

    Hey Dan!

Since you are talking of this, and I got some interests on the Looney Tunes cuz Multiversus re-releasing again, mind talking of those comics with the Looney Tunes?

I literally was joking with a friend "would be funny if Martian Manhunter and Marvin the Martian were in the game at the same time, right?"…. And there’s an ACTUAL crossover hahaha.

The same with WW and Taz btw

  35. @DanExclaims on May 21, 2024 at 3:18 pm

    GIVE ME LOONY TUNES ZASLAV.

  36. @thesuperiorhobgoblin9048 on May 21, 2024 at 3:19 pm

Reminds me of the fantastic four movie that was being made and then completely canned just so the company can keep the movies rights. What’s even worse is that most of the cast and crew didn’t know and actually put a lot of effort into it.

  37. @Rose_Bride on May 21, 2024 at 3:19 pm

I… I didn’t even know this movie _EXISTED!_ I was born in 1983, and I remember watching Looney Toons with my daddy and my daddy always complaining that Wile E. Coyote should stop buying from Acme and SUE them instead. He long suspected that they were in cahoots with the Roadrunner. Personally, I agree. 🧐

  39. @marvinjohnson2488 on May 21, 2024 at 3:21 pm

  40. @Dante_Fr on May 21, 2024 at 3:21 pm

It’s bs and we know it. Zaslav just doesn’t want the best movie WB has had in a while to be a movie produced under former management

  41. @tonybrown6647 on May 21, 2024 at 3:21 pm

They’re a little bit too self-aware for my liking

  42. @Supperdude9 on May 21, 2024 at 3:23 pm

Warner Brothers: "We won’t make our money back on Wile E v Acme."
Also Warner Brothers: "We will make money on hiring SJW devs for SSKTJL."
Also also Warner Brothers: 400+ million lost.

Who is making the decisions over there?!

  43. @IsaiahINRI on May 21, 2024 at 3:24 pm

It worked for the frickin’ Snyder cut, it can work for an actually interesting sounding movie

  44. @SelkieGirl on May 21, 2024 at 3:25 pm

Didn’t they also cancel that Batgirl movie even though it was like, 90% finished?

  45. @lucas_leoheart on May 21, 2024 at 3:31 pm

probably because the whole movie could turn a lot of real corpos upside down once it got released, and there’ll be more and more news on the silver platter, and worst-case scenario making it initiate total anarchy and worldwide riot

  46. @peterdafox on May 21, 2024 at 3:32 pm

    Boosting this shit

  47. @berniebroig8745 on May 21, 2024 at 3:33 pm

    Justice for Wile E. Coyote.

  48. @NickW855 on May 21, 2024 at 3:35 pm

They can’t sell it to the highest bidder, they already took the tax credits for writing it off. If they sell it, they not only owe tax on the sale, they have to return those credits and pay interest on that.

There’s no financial gain to be had from it at this point; I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve already destroyed the masters.

This remembers that time a videogame company break records of success but still fired a percentage of their employees (and i think the ceo also give himself a bonus but maybe I’m scrambling things)
