Trying to stop the illicit market instead of including it… I see the problem now.

Too many hands in the cookie jar – only when the government gets involved does weed become not profitable sheesh. Cannabis companies do better, dispensaries, maybe you can’t afford big luxurious store fronts full of empty space.

No pot dealer ever made as much money as a CEO of a big cannabis company. You got problems? You made them. There is an incredible network of people that were already involved in the tax paying smoke shop industry which has been stolen. Everyone knows it.
What do you call it if it’s legal for some and not for others?

I work at a cannabis manufacturer plant, and just found out the govt takes almost 70% of our revenue. That’s one of the reasons plants and distributors are going out of business. You need to profit in order to stay alive. It is nothing short of piracy or mob mentality! Also, all the hoops we have to jump through – umpteen licenses, Health Canada, stricter regulations than any other industry…the list goes on. I understand the govt’s wish to make money on this industry as well, but they take way too much, and don’t work for it like we do!

The grey market shops even the one that pay taxes are doing far better

In Ottawa check us out. We have been fighting this legal industry. The margins are what needs fixing.

The federal government doesn’t care, and will continue to destroy the entire industry.
