ISO Accreditation and the Cannabis Industry
ISO Accreditation and the Cannabis Industry
Quality and reliability of results are crucial to the growth and success of the Canadian cannabis industry. Many industries rely on globally recognized standards, such as those established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an independent international entity.
ISO 17025, in particular, lays the foundation for testing and calibration laboratories, demonstrating their capacity to deliver reliable results. Given the testing requirements for cannabis and cannabis products for potency, as well as chemical and microbial contaminants, testing is critical in the success of cannabis businesses.
This webinar will introduce the general requirements of ISO 17025 and offers examples of how accreditation strengthens the operations of testing laboratories, adding value to licensed producers.
