Hey . I play a zombie apocalypse game in my VR head set and their is a bow which you can shoot ( also a lot more guns and knife and other stuff) anyway there is a macetic in the game whick you can stab the zombies/ humans with the arrow. My question is can you do in in real life?

  3. @heylolp9 on September 2, 2024 at 5:40 pm

The best thing about back quivers is also just narrow passages like doorways
With the arrows tucked behind one’s back any opening wide enough to walk through without the quiver is also wide enough with it

THEY MOSTLY WORE THEM ON THE BACK DURING THE MARCH TO A BATTLE.OR WORN BY (PAGES) FOR RELOADING ARCHERS

  5. @nmartinez18 on September 2, 2024 at 5:42 pm

I adore how he ends every video with a pole trick shot as a flex.

  6. @g.strobl4458 on September 2, 2024 at 5:44 pm

Mind, the back quiver you are using here is not the type they usually use, is it? πŸ˜‰

  7. @StygianEmperor on September 2, 2024 at 5:47 pm

i just hate when games decide to not have a quiver at all and the character just pulls arrows from thin air because the designers got lazy

  8. @peterprime2140 on September 2, 2024 at 5:48 pm

Obviously the best choice is to wear multiple quivers all over your body.

  9. @robertg.2022 on September 2, 2024 at 5:48 pm

It seems to make sense to have something on your back for the slim possibility of protection for a vulnerable area and mobility with the least likely interference to movement. I feel like the side quiver has a higher chance of tripping up the archer though some secure attachment would prob limit that

  10. @Pinkspider93 on September 2, 2024 at 5:48 pm

    Wear some shoes 🀒

  11. @pendantblade6361 on September 2, 2024 at 5:50 pm

Was there any evidence a horse archer would carry a back quiver, a side quiver and a saddle quiver, or some combination thereof?

  12. @geminiadastra8662 on September 2, 2024 at 5:50 pm

Yeah i watch a pole dancer lodge arrows into things, what about it?

  13. @EHM0341 on September 2, 2024 at 5:51 pm

Sorry but I disagree as to my preference. I prefer back quivers because it keeps the arrows out of the way while walking (or running) through brush and while shooting. I can’t stand dangly side quivers.

  14. @RavenBlaze on September 2, 2024 at 5:51 pm

    A comment for the archer

  15. @lucaspaiva6327 on September 2, 2024 at 5:52 pm

yes, but I need to run sometimes! Thats why I use back quivers

  16. @EmMcree on September 2, 2024 at 5:53 pm

Oh is this a new outdoor space? It looks different from the usual setup

  17. @shajita on September 2, 2024 at 5:53 pm

Sorry but rule of cool takes priority.

  18. @ChrissieBear on September 2, 2024 at 5:54 pm

I think side quivers just look cooler. Especially mongolian ones.

  19. @genesisSOC on September 2, 2024 at 5:55 pm

Side quivers are still cooler though tbh

  20. @film57r7 on September 2, 2024 at 5:56 pm

β€œStop using back quiver” is the archery equivalent of β€œLongsword is better than katana”

  21. @itsFunga on September 2, 2024 at 5:56 pm

from my personal experience back quivers are easier to use when being used on the go and in fighting compared that of a hip quiver but the hip quiver is faster in reload and is really nice when you have a wall of meat keeping ya safe in short the back quiver is better for adventure while the hip is better for soldiers this is from my time in larp I also have experience in this style of quivers. also love the video and content you have helped me on my journey in archery

Homie you can make my back quiver any day πŸ˜‰

  24. @davidnabbit on September 2, 2024 at 6:00 pm

LEGO taught me that quivers go on the back.

  25. @tsn3 on September 2, 2024 at 6:02 pm

I so rarely see reference to the 2000s BBC Robin Hood series so it was nice seeing him twice in this video! Such a nostalgic show for me

  27. @Cheesepuff8 on September 2, 2024 at 6:10 pm

How do they not fall out?

  28. @CodyHomes on September 2, 2024 at 6:11 pm

Random clueless people: stop using back quivers!
Bulluminick: …….goes upside down, not losing a single arrow, still not missing a hit either.
Me: Seems some people shouldn’t knock it until they try it. He’s right again.

  29. @2DGraphicDesign on September 2, 2024 at 6:12 pm

It doesn’t look cool. It’s just an arrow holding thing some other people have.

  30. @jakobmartin6976 on September 2, 2024 at 6:14 pm

Where can u get that "properly secured quiver"?

  31. @MartinGreywolf on September 2, 2024 at 6:18 pm

The reason why you don’t see very many of these in medieval Europe isn’t that there is something wrong with the back quiver per se, it’s the other clothes.

Hoods were worn all over the place in this period, and those have wide hems that rest on top of your chest. When they are worn with cloak under them (to do the primary job of cloak and hood – protection from rain, wind and cold), you don’t have any gap there, just overlap. Any gear worn on the back therefore has to be completely under both hood and cloak, which makes the back quiver entirely pointless.

  32. @guyblew1733 on September 2, 2024 at 6:19 pm

Ultimately it’s going to come down to what an individual is comfortable with and works for speed. You don’t want the arrows on your hip when your out hunting, stealth is needed.

  33. @Mzerron on September 2, 2024 at 6:20 pm

Well now I want to see an actual terrible quiver type…like flip it around to become a front quiver! That’ll be horrible! Imagine all the fletching stuffed right under your nose and jamming into your neck!

  34. @lebo1999 on September 2, 2024 at 6:21 pm

I love the idea of a traveling archer that has a mix and match of equipment that doesn’t make sense in historical sense bc they just went an grabbed equipment they thought were cool and just got it

  35. @thalesn on September 2, 2024 at 6:24 pm

Breath of the Wild / Tears of the Kingdom did it tight then

    Whats your workout routine?

  37. @AAAscoutNoMorals-b9q on September 2, 2024 at 6:27 pm

I prefer bow quivers, but if I want to carry more than my bow quiver can handle I take out my back quiver

  38. @David9413 on September 2, 2024 at 6:27 pm

One thing I about back quivers, particularly in games, is that they give a distinct visual profile for archers, even in games where other cosmetic/armor options are the same across classes or loadouts. This can help give dangerous ranged threats a good warning symbol.

  39. @kioshekat7931 on September 2, 2024 at 6:27 pm

how are the arrows staying in when you’re upsidedown? what spell did you cast?

  40. @ccityplanner1217 on September 2, 2024 at 6:27 pm

You have to make sure you don’t bend the arrow or the head will come off.

  41. @InternetAddict069 on September 2, 2024 at 6:28 pm

I only just noticed that youre left handed

  42. @azeemtravadi6128 on September 2, 2024 at 6:29 pm

on that note. what is the worst possible way you could carry your arrows and still be able to draw and nock them

  43. @TheCynedd on September 2, 2024 at 6:29 pm

How can anyone not love this man? The only thing that would make him perfect is if he were Welsh.

  44. @e-mon239 on September 2, 2024 at 6:30 pm

I’ve been wanting to get. A back quiver and I’m curious the one you use?

  45. @DracoInduperator on September 2, 2024 at 6:30 pm

Is there any practicality to carrying multiple quivers like you did in this? Like one on each hip and one over your back?
Would it differ for combat vs hunting situations? πŸ€”

  46. @farkasmactavish on September 2, 2024 at 6:31 pm

I think they’re a bit better for speed, especially with the string release form you used. Unless there’s a form where you reach down after release, which seems more difficult, since you’d have to fight the motion of your arm.
Releasing and letting your arm snap back puts your hand right where your next arrow is.

  47. @zachariahkindle8926 on September 2, 2024 at 6:31 pm

Actually for the Robin hood thing, isn’t it likely that he picked up the quiver while he was in the crusade? In the versions of the story where he was actually on the crusade with Richard before the start of the story at least.

  48. @Antifrost on September 2, 2024 at 6:33 pm

I remember this point being brought up in Lars Andersen’s "A new level of archery" video. He made the mistake of saying something to the effect of back quivers being a Hollywood myth. He elaborates more on that point (and several others) in a follow-up video, though considering that video got significantly fewer views than the former, I think a lot of people came away from the first with that impression. I have a huge amount of respect for Lars Andersen, I just think some of his points weren’t presented properly at first or given with the context that he was focusing on techniques for his specific style of speed shooting and trick shots.

  49. @emmaplover3228 on September 2, 2024 at 6:35 pm

    Is that… a different garden??

  50. @user-yy5xs6xj7r on September 2, 2024 at 6:35 pm

Isn’t one of the four archers from the Bayeux Tapestry wearing his quiver on his back and not on his hip? It loks as a perfect illustration for both options being used in the same time dependig upon personal preferences.
