There has been a dramatic rise in the number of people caught taking suitcases of cannabis through British airports.

The number has risen from just a handful from two years ago to nearly 400 so far this year.

Police say that nearly all of them come from countries like America and Canada where the drug is grown legally.

  2. @undiscloseduser2004 on November 16, 2024 at 10:57 pm

What the hell, it is 2025 basically. Why is Marijuana still illegal? That is barbaric, TAX IT and make it legal and move on with your life Britain.

  3. @lovejetfuel4071 on November 16, 2024 at 10:58 pm

Id Trust any natural herb over the chemicals they put in the Vax and other harmful medications pharmaceutical companies pump out, yet what consequences do they receive??

  4. @lukeharrop4620 on November 16, 2024 at 11:00 pm

Legalise it but ban urine testing in the workplace

  5. @VikingPatriot on November 16, 2024 at 11:00 pm

    Should be legalized and decriminalized

  6. @michaelkavanagh5947 on November 16, 2024 at 11:01 pm

Throw away the key this drug starts all the addiction issues. Policing around this is awful.

  7. @LaughSafarii on November 16, 2024 at 11:03 pm

Imagine living on a planet where a plant is illegal, but literally over the pond (an hour away) is legal

  8. @BenPsOhYeah on November 16, 2024 at 11:03 pm

An incredible amount of money being wasted by this. Officers proud to arrest someone for cannabis? They shouldn’t be. They should be ashamed that they aren’t doing a worthy job policing real problems.

  9. @DavidJohnson-dc8lu on November 16, 2024 at 11:06 pm

  11. @bait942 on November 16, 2024 at 11:07 pm

legalise it! Gov is the real Mafia!

  12. @gs42816 on November 16, 2024 at 11:08 pm

Decriminalise it, as the majority of the public requires.

  13. @pepsipwns666 on November 16, 2024 at 11:10 pm

Are they good at selling it or does everyone want it??

  14. @centrelens on November 16, 2024 at 11:13 pm

Those who want to legalise it, consuming cannabis can cause people to develop paranoid schizophrenia and other serious mental illnesses. If abused or in the hands of a susceptible person it is very harmful. It’s an anti social drug and theres a reason why it’s illegal.

  15. @pepsipwns666 on November 16, 2024 at 11:14 pm

What a joke, arresting people for this. Just legalise it already, what are we doing? Alcohol is legal while this isn’t?

  16. @onbedoeldekut1515 on November 16, 2024 at 11:14 pm

The money wasted in catching them could EASILY be multiplied by legalising and taxing it, why spread our services thin and burn money needlessly when it could be funnelled directly back into the system, as it is done elsewhere?
If we stopped demonising its use and medical potential, we could focus on stopping the real drug malaise from the actual dangerous drugs.
Studies prove that in areas where it’s been legalised, other drug use diminishes.
It’s a no-brainer. Maybe some of the people in charge should partake and do some lateral thinking _for a change._

  17. @LeoRyan-ru6hv on November 16, 2024 at 11:15 pm

Legalise and tax cannabis. The money the government gains from the new legislation could be used to give me back my winter fuel allowance.

  18. @user-mr7kr9ce1b on November 16, 2024 at 11:16 pm

Why is it acceptable for the UK government to export cannabis worldwide, yet it is illegal for everyone else to use, grow, smoke. The UK is a criminal organisation that needs to be dethroned from all existence.

  19. @daviddalby9699 on November 16, 2024 at 11:18 pm

Such a bunch of hypocrites thought there’s no room in prisons ????

  20. @strangemagic5502 on November 16, 2024 at 11:19 pm

Messes up your brain cells. Obviously too late for those calling it to be legalised

  21. @DWG8 on November 16, 2024 at 11:19 pm

I dont agree with the tax and the availability of it in shops. I would agree to a yearly one off payment for a license to grow it up to a maximum of £100 otherwise i wouldn’t pay the license either!😂

  22. @poe- on November 16, 2024 at 11:19 pm

    Uk politicians are a joke

  23. @techtinkerin on November 16, 2024 at 11:20 pm

  29. @shawnfromportland on November 16, 2024 at 11:26 pm

  30. @dondraper2488 on November 16, 2024 at 11:26 pm

    Nothing more than misdirection….

  31. @alex_macieira on November 16, 2024 at 11:26 pm

Anybody with a normal head on theor shoulders that keeping thos thing illegal is ridiculous at this point. Legalise it. Tax it. And let the world be a better place for it.

  32. @leerobinson9969 on November 16, 2024 at 11:27 pm

Cannabis should be decriminalised as it has lots of beneficial effects. Ban tobacco and alcohol.

  33. @katecackett on November 16, 2024 at 11:27 pm

Theres oviously a market for it in this country why do we keep making crimminals out of people who actually want cannibis its a plant like any other plant the demand is there already in uk and around the world uk is so backward just legalize it

  34. @danielmartin7838 on November 16, 2024 at 11:29 pm

The way British police practically ask permission to arrest people is comical for this American.

  35. @WillowDougherty-os7fp on November 16, 2024 at 11:32 pm

    just legalize it ffs

  36. @nickdawson9236 on November 16, 2024 at 11:32 pm

    LEGALISE IT!!!

  37. @guild-hub7534 on November 16, 2024 at 11:35 pm

Fun fact cannabis was not made illegal because its creates psychosis, matter fact the US government gave it a bad name from poison crops, that created lots of false propaganda about cannabis, we just slowly chnaged it to being because its creates psychosis xD

  38. @jjohnston-c6i on November 16, 2024 at 11:38 pm

It’s legal in Canada, Holland and in many US states … why are the British government still living in the past ?

  39. @ThatDogBarkz on November 16, 2024 at 11:38 pm

The UK is a JOKE. What a waste of police time and resources. LEGALISE NOW FFS

  40. @VaBellaBeautz on November 16, 2024 at 11:39 pm

Legal or not i will still consume it

  41. @Jay99917 on November 16, 2024 at 11:39 pm

I’d rather it stay illegal I’m not trying to pay crazy prices on tax.
The only good thing would be being able to order from America ect.

  42. @michb144 on November 16, 2024 at 11:39 pm

THIS might just be a CRAZY Idea but mabey, just mabey what about leagalizeing it?Are they not stuck for money and taxing people left right and centre?Over in the Netherlands they decriminalised it since the past 50 years and the ground has not opened up nor the sky fallen.Keep the money out of the dealers hands, regulate, control and tax.Just a thought.

  43. @Gocrysomemore on November 16, 2024 at 11:41 pm

For everyone who wants to know why it remains illegal:

It has nothing to do with it "being harmful". That is a lie purported by the government to hide the truth. It’s illegal because the companies who already grow and export it legally don’t want competition and they have relationships with MPs. Theresa Mays husband grows it legally. Just let that sink in.

  44. @MemeKing-e4d on November 16, 2024 at 11:42 pm

No they use heavy metals in the nutrients not good to smoke..
BUT MAKE IT LEGAL EVERYWHERE 👍🌎

  45. @mickg7299 on November 16, 2024 at 11:44 pm

Misuse of drugs act is not fit for purpose, it never was!

  46. @malcolmsoh5648 on November 16, 2024 at 11:45 pm

Cannabis is illegal because of the misuse of drug acts of 1971 or Sharia’s Law. lol

  47. @RaoulDuke333 on November 16, 2024 at 11:46 pm

Legalise it now , do as i say

  48. @swampshack1018 on November 16, 2024 at 11:46 pm

Pathetic that it’s still not legal. The uk needs to get with the times, it’s embarrassing

  49. @Legion-p6y on November 16, 2024 at 11:51 pm

As the invaders terrorize their country?

  50. @hectorbartlett567 on November 16, 2024 at 11:53 pm

Who in their right minds smuggles cannabis into the UK in 2024 … Amateurs!
