SMALL CRAFT CANNABIS – DIRECT TO CONSUMER SHIPPING LICENSE!

A lifeline for small craft farmers, and a big win for customers who want to support and build a relationship with their farmers!

As the PROP 64 cannabis industry quickly becomes more and more consolidated with large multi-state operators buying up dispensaries, distribution channels, and mega-farms, these vertically integrated mega-operators will squeeze out all of the retail shelf space for small craft farmer cannabis products.

Question: So how do we preserve the small craft cannabis farmers and the high quality cannabis they produce?

Answer: Direct to Consumer Shipping!

This is NOT a radical or reckless idea.
In California, small wineries are already allowed to ship alcohol – bottles of wine – directly to consumers’ homes.
Direct shipping of tobacco products is allowed.
And the shipping of ‘hemp’ products such as CBD and the really creepy lab concocted synthetic cannabinoids that do get you stoned (low grade stone) such as Delta 8 and THC 9-o are currently allowed to ship directly to consumers.

Cannabis is one of the only products you are NOT allowed to ship direct to customers in California!

So why not allow small craft cannabis farms to ship small quantities of quality lab tested cannabis directly to customers within the state of California?

There really is no logical reason other than the large greedy cannabis corporations wanting to consolidate the entire cannabis industry for themselves within the restrictive distro/retail structure of the current PROP 64 licensing/regulation structure. They are the kids on the playground who want to steal all the toys for themselves – boo!

Everyone knows that corporate consolidation leads to lower quality, less diversity, and destruction of the ‘middle class’ segment of an industry.

So lets not let that happen to California cannabis!

PROPOSED SMALL CRAFT CANNABIS DIRECT SHIPPING LICENSE – MICROBUSINESS: (EXAMPLE TO GET CONVERSATION GOING)

Shipping limits of 1 oz of flower, 1 gram hash, 5,000mg THC in the form of tincture/edibles PER MONTH / PER CUSTOMER ADDRESS

CANNABIS SEEDS are also an eligible product!!!! We must support cannabis genetic diversity, and the preservation of heirloom and landrace cannabis varieties!

All products must be produced by the farm (no third party products or third party cannabis material)

All products must follow the same packaging and lab testing requirements as retail cannabis products

Shipping company cannot cross state lines during transit (there are already CA shipping companies/couriers who only operate within CA)

Customer signature and age verification upon delivery (same as wine shipping regulations) – or age verification could be processed prior to order?

Canopy limit of 1 acre

No stacking of licenses. Don’t allow corporations or owners to create multiple fake entities to game the system and stack licenses

Farms would also be allowed to sell their products in the distro/retail supply chain as well

And for those who think this could be gamed by teenagers or drug dealers… the age verification and signature up delivery solves the teenager issue. For drug dealers, 1 oz of cannabis per month is not going to fuel a drug dealer’s needs… that’s silly.

And for dispensary owners who feel threatened by this concept, let’s be honest. Small wineries shipping bottles of their artisan wine to their customers does not put a dent in the BEVMO! business model or other mega-alcohol retailers. (don’t be the kid who steals all the toys so no one else can play – share the love ya’ll!)

The logistics and structure for a SMALL CRAFT FARMER – DIRECT TO CONSUMER SHIPPING LICENSE already exists. It would be a win-win for small cannabis farmers and for consumers who want to support and develop a relationship with the small farmers!

Thoughts?

As a small craft farmer, I would be so excited to connect directly with our customers, answer their questions, and cater to their needs. Win-win for everyone!

– peace

Great conversation but I don’t have much input lol! I wish I did but I’m still battling legalization in my state. But I do think shipping is a awesome idea! A box with the name of the farm and there back story with a couple there products would be a beautiful thing! I’d do that any day over a dispensary if I had the choice. Another great video my friend! 🤜🤛

I have some ideas on how to accomplish that outreach. I am in California and would like to be a part of that counter-movement. I left a comment and contact information on your website. I don’t know the best way to get in touch. Thank you.

The fact that you film (this kind of topic) outside in the sun where the wind is blowing with a couple cannabis plants in front of you makes your video so much more watchable, I wish more cannabis growers did this. On topic: totally agree with what you said.

they don’t want quality cannabis on the market. they want PGR toxic boof. They want the ppl sick. Banks and big Pharma still run this corporate hellhole. The whole legalization market increased the cannabis and the quality went way down. Cartels and CCP run the black markets now. A third of US is a third world country now.
