I find issue with the “no use in public” Rule. Alcohol is not medicinal nor safe ever. People die everyday from alcohol. But you CAN absolutely consume it in many public places and no one would ever question it. And it’s also encouraged. So why is cannabis not allowed publicly when it is in fact safer than alcohol and is actually used for medical reasons.

For someone who has chronic pain and needs it to function through out the day. Are they just supposed to never leave their house? Or what about those with PTSD who have a hard time functioning in public because of their PTSD and rely on cannabis to aid them.
I think that law needs to be re visited and establish safe and inclusive rules for people who do rely on cannabis to do every day necessities such as walking and grocery shopping or just simply enjoying time with their family that they have missed out on due to a debilitating condition.
I understand don’t drive on it and agree with that 100%. But there will be people out there that will require it’s use while in a public setting. And it feels more discriminating to NOT give everyone the same opportunity to live a normal functioning life as best they can. I mean that’s the whole reason most people turn to medical cannabis isn’t it?

Why are some Mississippi doctors and nurse practitioners so staunchly against medical marijuana and is there any way we can better provide them with information on how it actually does help people?

So many against something they know little about! Just intentional lack of
Informing the public. It is NOT a drug! It is not TOXIC, alcohol, and almost all drugs are toxic! It is in the Bible, and was prescribed by Jesus and recognized by God… Even today, little is told, like it should be with all the use! It will prove to be a miracle discovery in time surpassing things like cotton, the peanut, and more. It is being greatly suppessed by the medical and pharmeseutical lobbyists,
also big money and all medical related industries.

Long ago, when California had medical, they had coupons in the back of local free magazines for doctors. For $30, you went to the doctor, told them you have insomnia and left with your medical card.

Why can’t people bring medical cannabis across state lines, but you can bring alcohol or prescription drugs across state lines?
