Dan Patrick is a scum bag and not our friend. Nor does he have anyone’s children’s best interests in mind. He has his rich friends in mind who make money off corporate prison and jail systems. They want to keep smokers in the criminal bracket so they can make money off their incarceration. Also they want to keep it in the streets so that they can fund corrupt Law enforcement and corrupt law enforcement practices.

Our children are in far more danger with cannabis coming off the streets rather than tested and regulated by the state. Kept behind regulated age based counter sales.

These people against that don’t care about us people. They don’t care about our children and they don’t care about our well being. All they care about are their handlers and their bank accounts.

What Dan Patrick has done and continues to do has nothing to do with Christianity.
I am a follower of Jesus Christ.
My faith is in Him alone.
    I am a conservative.
    I use cannabis.

If Greg Abbott wants a Texas economical boom he needs to capitalize on the fact that we have the potential to become a cannabis farming capital due to all the farmland and people willing to farm cannabis if they can provide a safety net to ensure that it’s worth it (most farmers are worried about the legality and if Texas will suddenly make it illegal and don’t want to risk their livelihoods), however if Abbott really wants to help Farmers and ALL Texans, including lining his pockets and his buddies pockets (cause we know that’s what politicians care about) he should go all in on Texas Cannabis Industry. We have the potential and he knows it!

  12. @VIP854 on August 21, 2025 at 3:12 pm

Cannabis being illegal makes absolutely no sense to me. If smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol can be legal, then so can cannabis. I think they should treat it just like alcohol, 21 years old to buy and consume responsibly. It’s an impairment, just like alcohol. There’s also a reason it’s used in treating cancer patients, and people with epilepsy. Those people are not prescribed bottles of beer, or glasses of liquor. They are prescribed cannabis. Yet, you’re free to buy as much alcohol as you want and wrap your car around a telephone pole… make it make sense. Just treat it like alcohol.

  15. @Ghost_Hybrid on August 21, 2025 at 3:14 pm

I hope it stays illegal. I saw what happened to Colorado when they decriminalized.

  16. @JAYYBL3NDZ on August 21, 2025 at 3:14 pm

All I know is that if they did band it the crime rate in texas would go up forsure

  17. @samhenson8177 on August 21, 2025 at 3:14 pm

Remember folks, Dan Patrick isn’t even a Texan. Dan Patrick isn’t even his real name! His real name is Dannie (yes, that’s his birth name) Goeb, and he’s from Baltimore, Maryland. No wonder he’s so out of touch with what Texans really want

  18. @mattmitchell1199 on August 21, 2025 at 3:18 pm

Dan Patrick is a chode…. His claim is “we don’t know what’s in it”…. Like he cares about our health while he is backed by big brewing companies. Legalize home grow if you are so concerned…. I know EXACTLY what’s in my cannabis.

  19. @Bigkillalexx on August 21, 2025 at 3:19 pm

Yeah hemp is really bad. It’s definitely not for human consumption nor for smoking. It’s basically bug sprayed, herbicide sprayed, chemical sprayed, goat hay tasting fake bud like K2, spice or some toilet water ditch weed granted some taste like weed and might help a person take a little nap. I’d say it’s plain nasty and the strange metals they keep spraying on the bud at low end dispensaries is enough to go back to the 80’s and just say no. It’s still not regulated by quality control and consumers that know what good cannabis smokes, tastes and looks like. I’d say it’s gone to the birds since about 2018 and I don’t know why. If you find a decent grower that knows what strains come out resilient to mold, pests and knows how to dry and cure it properly you may find gold there. Other than that I haven’t been feeling it. It’s been way boo boo with boo strains with very obvious boo boo names. I’ve tried California, Colorado and Minnesota dispensaries and I’d say Colorado is the only one that seemed to still know what cannabis actually is. The rest are on a strange hate fest it feels like. I pray things change so people stop ripping everyone off on what is supposed to be trustworthy medical or recreational cannabis that is safe and there is safe adult monitored access to. That is what is enjoyable in my experience. 🎉❤☮️✌️🙏

i just wanted comment on your description of Christian beliefs as being outdated. I do not know your beliefs and who or what you worship, but I am a Christian being I believe in Jesus Christ as my savior, and the bible as the living word of God, I also believe cannabis should be 100% legal because in the bible the Lord tells us in Genesis 1:11 – And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. and in Genesis 1:11 – And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so and in Psalms 104:14-15 – He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth. Having Christian values should not be an argument for banning it at all because as you can read the Lord made all things .. Man twists the word of God for their own personal advantages and people take it as if it was truth instead of seeking out God for themselves. Hopefully you will take a deep dive on the bible and see how awesome God truly is

  21. @TaylorHovdi on August 21, 2025 at 3:20 pm

How about ban all the candy flavors in smoke shops that market to kids!!

  22. @Powersproductions130 on August 21, 2025 at 3:21 pm

The fact of the matter is, if someone wants weed, they’re gonna get it. Going through plugs can be dangerous at times(personal experience), but they’re gonna get it either way. This drug is exponentially more safe than alcohol, so it shouldn’t be so regulated. Not making it legal is not in any way going to eliminate people from getting it. Between the safety and the taxes that would greatly benefit the state, it would be in the best interest of everyone (agree or disagree, doesn’t matter) to make it legal. We need some pot heads to express this to these leaders.

  23. @Your-Twisted-Go-Home on August 21, 2025 at 3:25 pm

Now we need to send letters emails and make phone calls to end property tax! Florida governor is talking about doing it for his state also two other states! Lets Make it happen!

You think Governor HotWheels believes in freedom. Ha. Ha ha ha.. he either wasn’t seeing enough profit somewhere or didn’t see enough of an opportunity to hurt poor people in that bill dude.

  25. @charlieb.7028 on August 21, 2025 at 3:27 pm

Dan Patrick has been around too long. He’s one that has turned his Position as a career. I’m sure that he will be voted out. He’s gotten too comfortable. I could care less one way or the other, for my own self. It is obvious he is completely out of touch. if Patrick had bothered to listen to the Veteran’s, & others telling their reasons, & did some research then he would have at least an argument. A wrong argument. But, instead he “wants what he wants”. Obviously not in touch with the constituents. I guess he’d rather them be addicted to opioids. Cannabis does serve its purpose. And, if it helps they should be able to get it. They shouldn’t have to worry about being arrested bc they are trying to just live a life that doesn’t have all the horrible things of war keeping them full of having that life. A war causing nightmares that never end. They went for us. If that’s what they need then that is what they should get. It’s the least we can do, for all those people. That doesn’t even cover Cancer Patients, anxiety, etc. Cancer patients who can tolerate the horrible side effects of Chemo. And, so many other things that it can help. And, that’s how I feel about that. Thank you for allowing me to use your Platform for my response.

    To answer your title question.

No. Texas did not. They are still way behind on everything. Especially now.

Abb the boneless needs to grow a pair.

  30. @viva_am839 on August 21, 2025 at 3:31 pm

Gregg Abbott is not a good person. He only serves special interests and AIPAC. If he voted for the cannabis bill it’s only because he’s getting money from the cannabis companies.

  31. @Lisa-hj8fh on August 21, 2025 at 3:33 pm

In Montana, the recreational cannabis program funds the cops. Its why up there, they really don’t care. They only ask about booze.

  32. @cliffmaxwell8718 on August 21, 2025 at 3:34 pm

"Lieutenant Dan" is a RINO and needs to go, but people keep voting for both him and his clone, John Cornyn. It’s better for Texas revenue and businesses for THC to be regulated, while true weed can still be highly controlled.

I don’t understand why you call the medical marijuana suppliers a scam. Some people aren’t allowed to use marijuana unless they have a doctor prescription for it.

  45. @Mickey09ftw on August 21, 2025 at 3:53 pm

I honestly doubt texas will legalize Marijuana

  49. @johnkaba2593 on August 21, 2025 at 3:57 pm

When I read the stuff from the governor a few weeks ago I got a very different thought. I was like "oh he sees Arkansas being mired in legal stuff for years and he wants to make sure that doesn’t happen here." I did not get the sense that he wanted to make the bills less strict, but just have them have less legal issues and go into effect more quickly. And after reading SB5 that just came out from the special session, it appears that is the case.

  50. @timkahn2813 on August 21, 2025 at 3:57 pm

all this makes me wonder about is how much they got paid by the pot cartels .
