Pruning and Training your Plants with Swami Select | How To Grow Cannabis Outdoors EP7
Pruning and Training your Plants with Swami Select | How To Grow Cannabis Outdoors EP7
Swami Select are back and in this episode they articulate the importance of pruning your plants, from cleaning the lower branches for sufficient airflow, to removing unwanted yellow and brown leaves as they develop later in the season.
These techniques are applied to increase airflow through the plant and to avoid the build-up of moisture which would otherwise lead to powdery mildew and mould.
With a variety of low-impact and high-impact training methods available for your plants; Swami looks at topping, trellising and cutting back the water towards the end of the grow cycle to encourage the plants to finish up and ensure that their flowers are at their peak.

Hear in Perth Australia the politicians have shares in pharmaceutical companies that make people SICK and KiLL people that’s y they won’t let me grow the good stuff Les from Perth Australia but they won’t stop me ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ
well no one needes to dress like a swami anything, what ever that made up thing really is growing is simple feed soil learn about just the soil and plants will rise
I love these type of videos shout out to Nikki and swami definitely the outdoor goats ๐๐ฑ๐ชฌ
Bro u dont know that u should harvest only the upper half first that has bigger buds and leave the lower half for a month so u get buds all same size
Best Videos on growing Outdoors!!!๐
Back in the 70’s i had a little book on Growing Weed. (Then we mainly smoked Afgan, Moroccan or Nepal Hash) The book had a chapter on putting a screw or nail near the base to stress it.
I’m into letting the plant grow up and pruning to focus it’s energy. Soil prep is as important as plant care. Happy Smoking๐
Love your channel very informative. I canโt find any information on the Internet about suckers growing on cannabis. Iโm growing outside in northeast United States and every plant I have has an extreme amount of suckers and if I cut them all off, Iโm afraid I wonโt have any bud sites at all, your experience with this thank you if you could reply, Iโll be grateful
and so on….
Easy to grow, don’t over think it. Big hole, good soil and water….. occasionally using compost tea. Simple.
Good technique here, thanks.
Your voice look like sadguru in India. Nice well explained
I’ve noticed that the plant will very much tell you when to reduce the water in the final stages of bud. At least, if you’re really tuned into your plants. And let’s face it, who isn’t tuned into their plants by the final stages?
If you’re anything like me, you’ve babied them since they were little sprouts? No word of a lie, I always feel badly cutting them down.
That’s why I always Thank Them, before I do. โค๏ธ
After all, I’ve grown them specifically as medicine. And they’ve grown to be just that. I do speak to my plants. And before they moved outdoors permanently, I would play classical piano music for them at night. You might think that sounds stupid or silly, but I am telling you they responded in a positive way. I even discovered they had a preference for Mozart piano concertos. My wife used to think I was off my rocker. Ha ha ha! But even she couldn’t deny the results.
I only grow enough for my own medicinal use. But of course, I do share with my family and friends, as here in Communist Canada, they do allow us to grow up to 12 plants at a time.
I prefer to grow most of my yearly needs out on my balcony. I have a South West facing apartment, so the Sun is just perfect. And as I’m disabled, I’m able to be at home and monitor my plants carefully, as the balcony can get so hot the plant pots dry out on an nearly hourly basis during the hottest part of the day. It’s August 2nd as I write this, and the first signs of bud are making themselves known. It’s a good day!
So far I’ve very much enjoyed this series. The production value has far exceeded my expectations. I’m not sure exactly what I was expecting, but it wasn’t the high value content I found. Thanks for your efforts!
Experience has taught me, when seeking Wisdom, go to your Elders.
Which is why I choose this channel today.
And indeed, Wisdom in abundance, was what I found.
You have a new subscriber in me. I hope to enjoy much more of your content in the future.
Peace! โ๏ธ
That was a pretty solid short lesson.

Is this the guy from spaceballs๐
I love these videos. Thank you! I will be growing outdoor next season and this series has really motivated me to grow in mother nature….
… So when Swami starts using and talks about zip ties, I was taken aback. I would have thought for the years of growing and how in tune Swami Chaitanya and Swami Lastreto are, they would be using zip ties.
Forgive my naivety and ignorance, but I would have imagined the use of hemp rope or something else natural to secure the trellises.
None of the other videos explained it so well as you did
This guy thinks he knows so much . Lots of misinformation in this video
Excellent tips. I’m pumped for some gardening
๐๐
THANK YOU LEARNED ALLOT
Love it. Roy from Virginia.
Thanks guys I’m learning so much

Great video..I have a question if I may..should I wait after the heat of summer to prune off the leaf..thanks for your help and time..๐
The bracing system is interesting
Video is amazing and u guys make a great team โค
Hi. It’s better to bend the top to break because in you have bacteria under your nail it will go inside the main juice circle like blood circulation of the plant and kill the plant or make it sick then the production will be bad.
How many times do you top for big plants
Thank you!
In the climate i live in newfoundland on the east coast of canada there is weeks and weeks that go by in my greenhouse where i dont water i find where i live everytime you water in esrly summer is over watering the plant by the time flower starts im watering 2 times a week but then in September i have to go back to watering only once every 14 days…….i know it sounds so crazy after growing indoors and being on such a strict schedule but growing outdoors or in a greenhouse you have to really liste. To what the plants are tell you
I like to call it "cuttin the duff"
Also, kyle has taken things to a whole new level with it…dont be afraid of new techniques like chiropractic snapping of node sites to promote super stomas that will never lock out. I know it looks and sounds soooo wrong but, as with many things in life, there are many possibilities for success, even in failures.
Would love to see a video showcasing different cannabis strains being trimmed, with a breakdown of each section of the plant being explained in depth.
I want to learn as much as I can about each part of the plant, along with what should or shouldn’t be trimmed.
Thank you for your knowledge Mr. Swami, Sir!
I tend to listen way more from an old timer growers with great believes, attitude and spirituality like you than anybody else…At 5:25 it is very cute! ๐
Om namah shivay ๐๐
