Assembly Bill 533 Voting Results

The first pot lounge has opened in Nevada in Las Vegas, just north of the Fremont Street Experience downtown. Nuwu Cannabis Marketplace, who is already known for having a 24 hour drive thru for cannabis products, opened October 5th. This comes after the Nevada state legislature already passed Assembly Bill 533, banning city and county governments from issuing licenses to businesses wanting to open a consumption lounge. Nuwu is located on tribal land that is governed by the Paiute Tribe. Tribal land is not always required to obey all of a state’s laws.

State government needs time to figure out how to reduce state liability while increasing state tax revenue.

  13. Dj Vega on February 25, 2021 at 8:45 pm

    its called tribal sovereignty

  14. UltimateBargains on February 25, 2021 at 8:45 pm

    Sigh…

  15. Herbinislander on February 25, 2021 at 8:47 pm

I know this is off-topic, but I wish nuwu’s prices were a little lower. I tried their drive-thru before and thought it was well organized and super efficient. I’d love to support a dispensary on native lands but the prices closer to strip are just way lower. As a 2x a year tourist, that drive isn’t worth it. Jmho

    go indiansπŸ™‚

  17. Erik Taylor on February 25, 2021 at 8:47 pm

This is insane that you can’t legally smoke it anywhere as a tourist

  18. Stock Glasses on February 25, 2021 at 8:47 pm

What’s the current situation? Is your private residence really the only place you can legally smoke weed in Vegas still? Consumption lounges still banned? asking for a friend.

  19. Alex Mendoza on February 25, 2021 at 8:48 pm

It’s an Indian reservation how long does it take to say that I didn’t wait I already knew I live in Vegas

  20. Totally Drew on February 25, 2021 at 8:49 pm

So as a visitor to LV from Japan, I can walk in and purchase what I want? Due to Canada being completely legal now, just wondering how international visitors go about purchasing?

  23. Richard Quintana on February 25, 2021 at 8:54 pm

Sorry that we didn’t hear about this when we were in Vegas last month. Our Uber drivers were great about suggesting dispensaries to visit but none told us about the tasting lounge at NUWU. We’ll be back soon!

  24. Juan CaΓ±a on February 25, 2021 at 8:54 pm

Didn’t like Nuwu’s marijuana dispensary. EVERYTHING was a hybrid.
    1. NO pure Indica kush.
    2. NO pure Sativa kush.
    3. Higher prices; LV has cheaper dispensaries.
    4. Asked if they have PURE SATIVA OR INDICA, staff was evasive, at best.

  25. Cold Lava on February 25, 2021 at 8:55 pm

Legend has it that Jacob went straight to the buffet right after leaving the marketplace πŸ˜† Noticed he was wearing shades too. Enjoy your clips! Thanks Jacob 🌴😎🌈Aloha

  29. wlwal1 on February 25, 2021 at 8:57 pm

I guess this tribe does not have a Casino! They just want a "share" in the Action and found a loop hole in the rules!

  30. Alejandro Serrano on February 25, 2021 at 8:59 pm

If the casinos allowed it, room service profits would sky rocket!

  31. Ra Rell on February 25, 2021 at 9:00 pm

Smoking in front of Harrah’s the panda East as I wstch😁😁 I see people walking around smoking everywhere except inside the casino

  32. Jason Pintur on February 25, 2021 at 9:01 pm

They need to innovate and make money from it cmon. I can see it now tappers handing out stuff for Belagio Gold,or NY NY Diesel.

  33. Alli Reynolds on February 25, 2021 at 9:01 pm

I love this! The one thing I disagree with is the parking option. No one should be allowed to drive after consuming marijuana. There should be a rideshare/taxi option, or patting down for keys or something to make driving inaccessible.

  34. Shuggie410 on February 25, 2021 at 9:02 pm

Thanks for this video!!!! Can’t wait to visit in May!!!

tribal sovereignty my friend. All tribes that a re federally recognized
are allowed to legalize and regulate cannabis if they choose to. Native
land are not subject to state or federal law.

  39. bowlinglefty on February 25, 2021 at 9:09 pm

So, driving a car and smoking dope. What could go wrong?

  40. April Martin Chartrand, M.S. on February 25, 2021 at 9:11 pm

I live in San Francisco, CA, and we have so many places in the City. Practically on every 4-6 blocks in the greater part of the City. We have tasting lounges in some place, but most only allow you to buy and then vendors come through and set tables to promote their products at a Discount sale price. People here can smoke on any public street (kind of crazy in San Francisco/Bay Area). You won’t get arrested for smoking it on the street. Obviously they don’t know if you have doing eatables, so that is not an issue. I have cancer, so having access to the CBD eatables is helpful to my management of my cancer treatment symptoms. So, this is great, when I move there, I will be there for the CBD (not THC or 18parts CBD/1part THC is a good combo for cancer folks like met) oils and eatables. CBD is great for helping starve off further Cancer cells (not totally proven by the FDA yet, but the research is happening). So glad I am now changed my Party to INDipendent. No longer a DEM as the Dems in the City of San Francisco, as more like REPS. So it doe snot matter. That is why I am now an INDI. Jacob, this is Strange that the DEMS voted against it (THC and tasting rooms and selling rooms) . That is crazy, CBD oil is great for all types of ailments and prevention. Tribal land is all of the Americas given the Americas are Ingenious land that was Colonized. So, what is the arugment about "Tribal Land"? It is a given this American is/was indigenous land before Colonization. History speaks. Hope to be moving to Las Vegas, 2020. Will be there on Jan 6-8 to audition for AGT at the Rio Suites.

  41. Elisha on February 25, 2021 at 9:12 pm

I never understood why when all this first started Nevada took out of state customers, if i dont live there i cant consume it anywhere and cant bring it back home over state lines. The lounges should have went hand in hand with accepting out of state customers. And why wouldnt casinos want the lounges, it seems that would keep the smoking on their property to a minimum?

  42. Teena Marie on February 25, 2021 at 9:14 pm

We can thank our Native American brothers and sisters. They’re not crazy, they know where the money is.

  43. Wild West on February 25, 2021 at 9:14 pm

just legalize it already. geez. Politicians are complete morons.

  44. Justin W on February 25, 2021 at 9:17 pm

Greed knows know party. They voted to keep wealthy campaign donors happy. It’s a dam shame. I’m glad to see NUWU gave all of them the finger.

  48. Alan Lawson on February 25, 2021 at 9:24 pm

As if we don’t already have enough on our plate here in Vegas, now we have to deal with a bunch of mindless drug indused morans wandering aimlessly thru our streets. Great!! 😞
