Massive marijuana operation busted in Denver

The indictments of 32 people allegedly connected to a multimillion dollar scheme to grow marijuana illegally and ship it out of state is being called the largest marijuana bust since legalization, according to law enforcement authorities. During a news conference Thursday, officials said the group transported hundreds of pounds of marijuana out of Colorado and brought cash back, at times, using skydiving planes

32 people behind bars… $40,000 per year per person, that’s $1.28 million a year to keep them in jail.

selling a product people want to be happy is not drug dealing. these politicians are more crooked then these marijuana dealers they get paid a big salary buy stealing peoples tax dollars. they could never earn their own money so they join a group that steals peoples money and they call it tax dollars.

  6. The Wade on November 21, 2021 at 1:46 pm

    Just legalize it.

  7. jordan hicks on November 21, 2021 at 1:50 pm

Lmao, people need to understand that it still is a federal crime, dont think it’s legal just yet and end up behind bars for jumping the gun and being stupid.

  8. justin g on November 21, 2021 at 1:50 pm

Make it legal in more states and the black market disappears. Funny thing is that MN has med, but their requirements were ridiculous.

  9. Erick Estrada on November 21, 2021 at 1:52 pm

Waste of resources and efforts. You have not made the world a better or safer place by these arrests. Youve only ruined 32 lives. Pat yourselfs on the back

  10. DirtyBird760 on November 21, 2021 at 1:53 pm

how about just make it legal everywhere, no more black market bs to worry about

  11. Patrick Sangly on November 21, 2021 at 1:55 pm

How about I go and kidnap 34 DEA agents and lock them in my basement for 10 years. I could also put them next to a bunk mate that is a serial murderer/pedophile.

  16. Anthony L on November 21, 2021 at 1:59 pm

The state busted these people since the State is not collecting taxes on this operation in which was a strong motivation for the government to make it recreational which is spreading to American States every year little by little. Legalized recreational marijuana was only approved to generate more money for the State, nothing more so of course they will arrest those not being taxed. It simply takes money out of the States pocket. The legal companies selling weed who pretty much sold illegally prior to the change of the laws will snitch out the illegal operations to reduce competition for them, mark my words and that will be nation wide.

  17. Chiva23 on November 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm

Weed in Colorado sucks. Cheeses and whatever were terrible. No buzzz. Even when flown to Texas. I dont want that shit.

The real answer to this situation is to let everyone grow nationwide. Washington DC now allows home grows with no sales.DC residents can have 5 plants per person per household and they can carry up to 2 ounces without fear of arrest. Only time will tell but I feel the DC law is the best legalization effort to date because they don’t allow sales thus preventing any group of investors from moving in and taking over all production and sales which only creates new U.S. born drug cartels.

  20. DJ Ketch Wreck on November 21, 2021 at 2:02 pm

Omg free these innocent people (unless they sold other drugs too)

  21. gringots on November 21, 2021 at 2:03 pm

  22. the1calledv on November 21, 2021 at 2:03 pm

oh the hipocracy! If the state doesn’t get their cut (taxes) then all of a sudden whats LEGAL IN COLORADO becomes a HORRIFIC CRIME that took four years of work to bring down! This is so ridiculous! The people who are pattin themselves on the back for this display of wasted resources on a non crime should be ashamed! Public display of incompetence, arrogance and corruption. How bout this? Instead of this mafia style take down of competition in your drug dealing…..do your job! Test all the hundreds of rape kits that sit currently untested due to …lack of funds?…..and stop funneling resources into organized crime you are the boss of. Disgraceful.

    wtf pot ain’t a drug

  28. StephenAndrew777 on November 21, 2021 at 2:13 pm

Weird. If more weed is being grown in Colorado and more weed is being shipped to the parts of the U.S. where weed is still illegal now, I guess that means there’s more Americans going to prison on weed charges than ever before. I’m sure weed was legalized in a tiny portion of America for your benefit though. The far left sure does seem to want to fill those prisons up, if you really think about it.

  29. Zane on November 21, 2021 at 2:16 pm

The world is/always will be a business. The government is your boss, and you are an employee of the corporation of the USA. You are considered a tax paying node in their system, and expected to follow any policy that is set by the head office. Head office would actually loose $ if MJ were legalized; Pharma, med, alcohol/tobacco, oil, prisons, and police can’t let it happen. Now, take a vaccine, eat monsanto, drink fluoride, pop a prozac, watch american idol, pay your taxes, and get back to work!

  30. Dee on November 21, 2021 at 2:16 pm

    weed lol

  31. Cannabis healz on November 21, 2021 at 2:19 pm

Here is the bottom line, Black markets will always be there UNTIL the price of legal cannabis drops! When the legal grower are charging 15-20 dollars a gram and the black market growers are charging 10 how do you thing its going to work out. The people will go to the cheaper grower. Everyone knows this fact so again this is a failed program by the government. If you would allow anyone to grow what ever they wanted and how ever much they wanted guess what would happen, The Black market would go away IDIOTS ! Why does the government have to make money from this market, its called GREED and because government have been managing the moneys from taxes wrongly for well lets see since I have been born. The bottom line is if there not doing there job they should be replaced they only make millions of dollars from taxes just regulars taxes. and still they want more and more soon you will work and all you will get is a food ticket and once a year you will get a couple of tickets for cloths and things if they have there way.

  32. Tyler Visentin on November 21, 2021 at 2:22 pm

    make pot illegal !!!

  33. CanWeTalk on November 21, 2021 at 2:23 pm

A person doesn’t need to be an expert to see the real story here. The anti-cannabis people will use this to paint all the legal cannabis workers as criminals to scare any on the fence supporters back to their side.

  34. A J on November 21, 2021 at 2:25 pm

Who is smuggling black market vodka across the country? NO ONE! I can go to the liquor store and buy my own goddam Vodka, Gin, or Pinot Grigio! I don’t have to even LOOK at anybody that looks like those 32 people arrested, let alone do business with them. Legalize weed and this stupid shit stops.

  35. Joseph Karras on November 21, 2021 at 2:26 pm

Just legalize it nation wide and we won’t have to worry about home grown black markets or Mexican cartel black markets. Smdh, enough is enough.

  36. Kelvin Grover on November 21, 2021 at 2:27 pm

no hope for dope period end of stupid .

  37. Mike Rodriguez on November 21, 2021 at 2:28 pm

  39. Ray Sims on November 21, 2021 at 2:34 pm

Cannabis is produce and should be sold in every produce aisle in the nation. Every garden could have 5 – 6 plants in them the way nature intended.

  40. Joe Carney on November 21, 2021 at 2:35 pm

Congratulations to everyone who put all those people in jail. Now pat yourself on the back. Next ask yourself is the public any safer? When you figure out the answer, go and do actual work.
