Pour Concrete Footings Foundation – 6 – My Garage Build HD Time Lapse

Concrete guys, pouring the footings, duh!
I designed and built my 3-story 3-car #garage by myself from foundation to siding in only a few months. I took videos and timelapse of the entire project from start to finish.

SHOULD COVER THOSE EXPOSED VERTICAL REBAR WITH STEEL/PLASTIC CAP TO PREVENT SOMEONE TRIPPING FALLING AND GETTING STABBED BY THEM

WOW! You guys are crazy out back east. I never seen a crew pour concrete with just a tail gate and a couple of shoot extensions. We always use a concrete boom truck. Its a long arm with a hose attached that delivers the concrete where it needs to go. You end up spending the same when you spend a little more on machine an less on the man power.

or you could cut a peice of 2×4 and periodically nail them accross the footings hang your rebar from them with rebar tie wire, then when the concrete is set, you take a pair of wire cutters and cut the wire flush with the concrete, and remove the 2×4, its alot cleaner then holding it with your hands,Β

The concrete isn’t to the top of the forms WTF? Are you using self-leveling concrete? The guys pouring just happen to know where their level line is? Show the next video when the carpenters show up. I would be interested in that. I’ll have to check out your website.

The concrete contractors drive nails at the level where the concrete needs to stop. Then they bring it up to that level. I have 197 videos show "the rest" πŸ™‚ enjoy!

Good call going with the pros. There’s no interruptions with work, or family, etc. They want to get paid, they get it done and they do it right.
