My Childhood Fears
I was afraid of very strange things as a kid. Let’s talk about fear and how it affects us as children.

you know tomska from tomska, tomska and freands and eddsworld? that is so cool!!!!!!
Didn’t become my favourite but I was terrified as a child by Jumanji, gave me a couple night terrors at the time.
Ah, balloons.
I’ve never *not* been afraid of them. π
3:59I had gone to Six Flags with a few friends and we went on a DC ride that was a dropper ride, and when it was happening, I felt sick like I was getting punched in the stomach every time we went up, so I don’t go one those rides anymore….
Im scared of socialization…
Hopefully Iβm not scared of pibby anymore
4:25 is that sans from Undertale lol
i think my biggest fear when i was a kid was ventriloquist puppets THEY ARE SO SCARY….
okay maybe i’m still scared of them….damn goosebumps
Me to
don’t get me started on the drop tower rides π
I was scared of some really weird things; Marvin the Martian being one of them. The weirdest one I remember is before Disney movies on VHS they sometimes had an advert for the Mickey Mouse Prince and the Pauper. There was a bit in said advert where Donald looked into a flask or something and it blew up in his face leaving it covered in soot whilst Mickey looked sheepish. I HATED that scene! It was terrifying! Even now at 25 it makes me squeamish.
Also the dinosaur sequence and night on bald mountain from Fantasia
what do u think of gacha heat? tbh i hate it
I very vaguely remember being terrified of the vacuum, and I ran to my dad because I was scared and wanted him to hide me. I ended up "helping" my mom vacuum.
6:08 Yes, Happy Tree Friends.
I was scared of Vaccum Cleaners.
A silly story as to why, my family used to be me on one when i was a baby and move me around on it. Thing is… they never *turned it on* while I was on it.
Until my aunt got then brilliant idea to turn on the vaccum to both entertain me and clean the floor.
Yeah… didn’t go as well in real life as it did in her head.
This is also the same aunt that made me afraid of water…
Ur not the only one that is afraid of balloons In irl (I’m ok with cartoons)
4:24 Sans that u?
I love that Tomska was in this
I was afraid of the movie "Brother Bear" which was made by Disney. this one scene really scared me when the brother bear thinks of the bear he killed was really the mother of the bear he was with, I do not know why but the background sound and the way the mother said her son’s name really triggered me to the point where It git me until five years later when I re-watch it and now It is not scary at all, now that I think about it…. I had weird fears. Now I am afraid of tall ceilings, Because Every time I look up or get out of my seat when there is a tall ceiling above me I feel like I am falling upward. this has been going on for as long as I can remember!
that thing about being scared of something as a kid but growing to love it later on? i was TERRIFIED of claymation as a kid. as in i would run out of the room crying if wallace and gromit or gumby was on. i grew up around about when claymation/stopmotion/cgi was in peak uncanny valley territory, and so that was definitely a large source of my fear. i was just really freaked out by the way they moved!! nowadays i absolutely adore the artistry of claymation and everything similar, but it will always remind me of what terror looked like to me as a child ahaha

I was afraid of Nightmare Before Christmas, and Halloween superstores….but now, I love them.
π€£ door stoopers
One movie that scared me as a kid was the anime film βUnico in the Island of Magicβ (English title, I donβt know the actual Japanese title). Now it is one of my favorite films.
Most things are based on something, even if you don’t remember. Thats what therapy is for. One of my exs is afraid of birds. She’d always deny there was any reasoning for it. Until one day I finally got it out of her. A goose bit her once as a kid. Now she literally runs from pigeons and ducks and anything even remotely bird like…If only I could figure out why I can’t handle heights. Most of my "traumatic" experiences about that are from after I already had that phobia. Like the time another ex of mine made me ride The Phantom’s Revenge (a rollercoaster) with her. She specifically only wanted to ride it because she knew I hated heights, and then made fun of me for closing my eyes "too much". Jerk…Although I’m seeing what my phobia of relationships is partially based on….
I can understand the fear of loud noises I personally hate loud noises
You see Iβm autistic and because of that I have very sensitive hearing
So whenever Iβm in a big crowd of people or at church or whatever I get a little anxious because of the loud noises
In terms of childhood fears I donβt have that many I was a pretty bold kid so I rarely feared anything
I did kinda fear this old clock that was in my house and every time it chimed I would imagine a family of anthropogenic sharks appearing and just angrily glaring at me I basically wouldnβt just quickly shuffle away from the clock every time I was in the same room it was in and if it chimed I would book it out of there and run up the stairs
I also have a fear of tornadoes but I think thatβs understandable because tornadoes are terrifying
Tomska from eddsworld- OMG π³
why are you scared of sans 4:18

β¨ITS NOT A MISTAKE ITS A MASTERPIECEβ¨
I hated loud noises like music or balloons π
Omg I had a fear of loud noises just the same! I would never go outside for fireworks because the noises were too loud. Everyone thought it was because of the fire and tried to coax me out but I refused. One day when I was very young I remember my family going to a circus and I was nervous the whole time because I thought that they shot people out of canons and I was afraid of the loud noise that would follow. Turns out they didnβt shoot anyone out of a canon, but it pretty much ruined my circus experience because I was worried the entire time. I never knew anyone to have this fear of loud noises unless they have ptsd from military service. Iβm glad to know Iβm not the only one.
I am the same way today. I donβt worry so much about the loud noises but I do have a similar thing still with fireworks, almost like a nervous twitch with each loud pop.
Omg you were scared of flying out to! I have always been scared π₯π₯Ί im so glad to know π
I have that too
5:38 *Totally not me replying that part over and over again*
what is this lol
Spirited Away traumatised me as a child, now it’s one of my fav movies ever β€οΈ
The end is the biggest crossover in history
My favorite movie is jurassic world
I loved the ending!
I went on the Haunted Mansion ride when I was 4…it traumatized me. My mom tricked me into going by saying Casper the friendly ghost were there. But now, 45 years later, it’s like my favorite attraction at Disney World. Has been for a long time.
Yes I am still very scared of drops because I am still young my sister tricked me into going onto jurrasic world ride and I am still traumatized!
HOLY SHIT ITS TOMSKA
also I love your work (referring to both of you
