Common Cannabis Nutrient Deficiencies

Common Cannabis Nutrient Deficiencies

-Mobile vs Immobile Nutrients
Mobile- Can be translocated from older growth to newer tissue which means the deficiency of these nutrients will first show-up in the older plant material.

Immobile- Essentially are fixed in place in the plant.

-Chelated Fertilizers
Chelated fertilizers are more stable and plant available sources of nutrients.
This improved fertilizer use efficiency
Fertilizers in this category can often be used as a foliar application in addition to being media applied which can help reduce the time a plant remains nutrient deficient.

Nitrogen (N)
Phosphorus (P)
Potassium (K)
Calcium (Ca)
Magnesium (Mg)
Sulfur (S)
Copper (Cu)
Iron (Fe)
Manganese (Mn)

Great video, hope to see more. It is important for new growers to understand the "cannabis nutrient ph chart", I find the most common is "manganese" as it falls outside the usual ph water , so simply by changing the water ph once every 2 weeks to 5.5ph, your plant will not show this at all. Also stay away from humic acid, as it is shown to decrese cannabinoids by up to 35% in the buds (google cannabis humic acid and you’ll see the 1st scientific post on it…great read about nutrients and what they do to the plant all based around cannabinoids

If your going to use foliar spray its better to do 30min to an hour before lights out just to reduce that chance of burn In fact if you’re growing outdoor I wouldn’t even water until the sun is going down

I use to use a really complicated home made nutrient schedule but now I just use 3 part advanced nutrient micro, Grow and bloom with green planet pro cal and big bud. Easier and the ph always comes out perfect or very close

So fan leaves turning yellow and falling off is preventable once you hot 12/12 I thought that was just a part the natural process haha time for some urea calcium nitrate and blood meal! Thank you i feel so much more confident talking about this with my boss after watching your knowledgeable videos.

  18. Gustavo Fring on February 17, 2022 at 11:25 pm

Can anybody tell me why a plants fan leaves nearer the top would begin to go thin? Genetics possibly but if it were some kind of a deficiency which would it be?
    (Mid way flower stage)

    pH is a massive thing!
The wrong pH can make the plant pretend it’s got nutrient deficiency?
    That’s what I’ve heard anyway.
The right pH is very important.
Great video. I’m going to save it.

  28. Stock762 on February 17, 2022 at 11:35 pm

I have a plant with slightly yellowing new growth and droopy leaves on the ends growth as well. The stems are also purple. Is this a sulfur deficiency. How can I fix this?
    ?

  33. Mellow Yellow on February 17, 2022 at 11:38 pm

Great explanation…I have all of these problems…guess there’s no 1 stop mix for all the 3 groups?

It would be very helpful if you took still shots of the leaves and incorporate them into the video. When holding them they are not in focus. But a great video/explanation.

  39. Mandela Effected on February 17, 2022 at 11:46 pm

This is a highly informative video and I appreciate you taking the time to make this. I thought I was having nutrient deficiency issues for a year and it turns out I was using too much light I was running a 630 watt double ended CMH fixture in a 4×4 tent. If you can’t figure out your nutrient deficiency issues and you’re blasting your plants with light that might be the reason
