Nice to talk about water use when standing in front of a park of green grass that doesn’t grow naturally

Other then leaving trash and not paying Taxes are they really doing anything else wrong? The high desert has little opportunity versus the inland empire and Los Angeles. Why are they making this more difficult

I thought that ‘legalizing’ marijuana in CA would remove the criminal element. Hah! What a fail.

  8. Brakes Mountain on May 28, 2022 at 10:51 pm

America has murdered TEN TIMES the people Hitler murdered through abortion. I don’t hear the news talking about that. Straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel. They deem a marijuana plant as "dangerous." Hypocrites and Blind guides!!!

Make it legal then. Oh right we all did already. As for the dog, could happen literally anywhere and does especially near people’s private property.

Sensationalist garbage used to go after tax evasion.

  12. AcademicEndeavor on May 28, 2022 at 10:55 pm

My guess is the real reason people are getting upset at these illegal growing operations is because they might be driving prices down by flooding the market, in-turn hurting the profits of similar operations, legitimate or otherwise. Everything comes down to money. If people really cared about the environment, then people wouldn’t be burning down the rain forest just to grow more soybeans for animal feed. Human history shows we care more about getting rich then the environment.

Illegal weed is an outcome of over regulation…the government doesn’t seem to care that they create black markets. They make too much money off illegal drugs.

it’s unbelievable, the government doesn’t do anything about it.
I think the government likes the drug money, no wonder the borders are open, by the way this happens everywhere in USA, they are in jungles, everywhere they pay the local sheriff’s money to keep quiet, I met a pot grower one time in North California on hwy 1 north, and she told me so.

Yhep But Dawn Rao needs to have a green lawn !!! they are stealing water to grow weed. I have always disliked the need to over water a yard so it’s green or in Mn it takes until July to fix all the underground sprinkler systems around the malls BIGLY business’s that were broken / plowed up last winter,,, and they have been watering the road since April and after labor day they start blowing the water out of the lines so they don’t freeze but when they do that they start finding all the weak spots.. which brings up this I was 20 years old when I first said we need to put a BIGLY Fine on people Business’s that water the road and when their sprinklers are on when it’s raining out

There’s bodies in this area the police won’t do anything specially in these times with not much man power. Unless you actually find a body close to a road even then they might not help you and will want to build a case first before moving in

Is it that hard to get a permit to grow it legally? These same upstanding citizens doing the complaining are probably the same people that sneak in house projects without applying for the proper permits.Or they’re out there at 3:00 in the morning watering their lawn.I live in The Buffalo/Western,NY area so I don’t have to worry about water.I was in Southern Cal in the 80s when I was in The Navy.First thing I noticed about Southern Cal is how brown everything was.Brown grass and no damn trees.

  36. Brandon G on May 28, 2022 at 11:22 pm

While weed is legal in California, these illegal grow operations are deeply hurting the high desert communities.
-Water wells are drying up do to extreme usage for growing (wells cost an upwards of $20k to drill, most people cannot afford new ones)
-Banned chemicals are being illegally imported and used on marijuana crops, leaving even enforcement officers with rashes
-Many of these grows are illegally stealing power by bypassing meters
-The majority of the water is illegally hauled via IBC totes hauled on trucks and trailers (high desert dirt roads are not standing up to the constant back and forth)
-The majority of the grows are cartel linked, and are protected by weapons.
-Land owners and recreators are being threatened at gun point for coming withing close proximity to some grows
-There are no proper trash disposal locations for many of these sites since they are off-grid, the trash is thrown into the desert and blows around
-Land is being squatted on, or purchased for way over the asking price and is raising prices for everything, the majority of those in the high desert are low income
-Hundreds of travel trailers are being stolen and used as shelter, with their septic system being dumped into holes dug in the ground
There are many, many more reasons why residents are very angry about these grows.

  37. monkusbee on May 28, 2022 at 11:22 pm

Who cares about the weed? Oh, I know, the government! No tax collected. No pockets greased. No one gets duked. Prices go down for the public. What a shame.

  39. bottel on May 28, 2022 at 11:23 pm

I’m a prophet of Jesus Christ please read this,God the father has this country cursed by growing pot, you see pot and all illegal plants are made by God, Yet God did not want the fallen angel to planet them in the garden of Eden, those angel were called gardening angel. do your math you see God has set fire to those illegal planets and the rest of the good planets have to suffer along with them. They are a few more curse God put on this country. yet that a different subject.

  42. Alex Fracyon on May 28, 2022 at 11:31 pm

That was a dog attack. It had nothing to do with the subject that is bothering you. That could have happened with any neighbor! You’re over exxegerrating but I agree with the water usage but I am sure they are paying for their water if it comes out of a metered valve. Keep pushing lady and you’re going to run into a different problem
I have heard that cartels are doing this. You don’t want to mess with them. They don’t give a damn about law enforcement. Yes they’re here in our country

  44. R. William Comm on May 28, 2022 at 11:33 pm

It’s very simple. Proscribe a certain number of plants constitutes a felony w/a mandatory minimum.

  45. xavierboyz8 x on May 28, 2022 at 11:33 pm

Those are cartel members and you are seriously endangering your family and kids by getting in the way of the cartels. I wish you no harm but your playing with fire and you will get burned. You say your not scared and that’s so stupid cause that means your putting your kids in harms way which the cartels will use your family as a example. So sad! Those children need to be taken from those ignorant parents putting there kids lives in serious danger! Look what happened to the mormon family? They did the same thing and when they brought there kids to what they thought was a safe place they were ambushed. Parents making bad decisions and the kids are the innocent who gets caught in the middle. Its only a matter of time till we here about these families disappearing and being ambushed. So sad 😞
