SONA 2022 | Ramaphosa's plans for cannabis industry

President Cyril Ramaphosa says government will be looking to ease policies to help the cannabis sectors grow in South Africa. He highlighted that South Africans have already been farming cannabis. According to the World Health Organization, SA is the third-largest illegal cannabis producer in the world. The Africa Cannabis Advisory Group’s CEO, Sibusiso Xaba, has more. Courtesy #DStv403

Will make no difference in anyone’s lives as every user will grow their own. There will be no market.

Cannabis in South Africa is dominated by the Dutch we black majority cant afford licences and we are landless,so at the end we dont grow forward even if we have small gardens police still arrest only blacks who sell cannabis

Only rich will benefit ,poor will be kept out.disgrace.poor will have quotas and be blocked from selling.

Just make it compulsory for each and every person with a house, shack, bridge and surfboard to have 2 trees. Instead of paying taxes the municipality must come, harvest it and hand it over to government. Then the politicians must decide how they are going to sell it for the good of the economy.

There should be no difference between growing cannabis and growing maize

Gov’s plan is heavily flawed. What does it help to grow it but u have to export product to import medicine? Why cant we make our own meds and sell it?? Rather make a law that u have to have your home made meds tested if u want to sell and pay 15% vat but nooooooo lets support big pharma!!!!!!!

yoh….. the market is already flooded.

This is not gonna make some massive economic boom and be the economy savior.

You need other countries to relax their laws so we can export.
