Check out our New Biography Channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/biographics

In 1936, the film Reefer Madness depicted the terrible consequences of just a single toke of marijuana; a psychotic rampage that can only end in murder, suicide, or lifelong incarceration. Well, we better be ready for a whole lotta killer sex rampages in the near-future. Pot is starting to become big business. Multiple states and countries are relaxing their anti-weed laws, and 4 a.m. pizza orders are about to hit an all-time high.

Canada is the number one country at botching marijuana legalization. My provincial government (New Brunswick) lost money selling weed…

I did not understand the sense of order.

  14. Ken Bellchambers on May 31, 2022 at 11:22 pm

If there ever was a personal plant, it is cannabis. If you treat your plants with respect and grow them holistically, they respond by magical means. Just leave us alone to grow it on our doorstep with affection and care, and we will be very happy. If you are concerned about safety, go and picket the motor racing industry, it kills lots of people. ‘Sativa’ means ‘doorstep plant’ and it was the first plant in recorded history to be cultivated for its medical and spiritual benefits. The plant has been cultivated on people’s doorsteps for 4200 years.
On the other hand, plants grown with artificial light, that are cloned, emasculated and raised chemically , produce ‘lab rat’ pot which is useless and toxic.

This list seems a little outdated. Canada legalized recreational use in late 2017 I think. Argentina has legalized recreational use as does Jamaica (an obvious place no doubt). I think the top prize goes to Portugal. It has decriminalized every drug. Everything. And I’m sure to many people’s surprise, world wide they have amongst the lowest rates of drug addiction. I’m sure there are other worthy countries, but IMO these four should have made the list.

  27. TheCatLady on May 31, 2022 at 11:40 pm

Update from South Africa: The Constitutional Court Struck down all laws prohibiting cannabis in September 2018 and instructed the government to pass legislation in the next 24 months regarding legalisation. In the meantime it is fully legal for anyone over 18 to possess, grow and smoke as much as they want, no limits on quantities. However, selling it is still a criminal offense. The ConCourt has thus instructed legislators to draw up legislation that will make it legal to sell/deal as well.

  28. Critical Thinker on May 31, 2022 at 11:43 pm

I hate all the slang terms. He hardly uses the correct name "cannabis" at all

  29. jaze whaze on May 31, 2022 at 11:47 pm

You are wrong about the Netherlands. You can still buy and consume in most cities, not just Amsterdam. It’s only i Maastricht and few other cities in border regions who enforce the discrimination of foreigners.

  30. A F on May 31, 2022 at 11:47 pm

What are you thoughts on Amsterdam planning to make cannabis illegal for tourists following Covid-19? This news is scary to even contemplate

  49. Kishor on June 1, 2022 at 12:04 am

Although illegal here in Nepal you can smoke weed and get high …authorities won’t take smoking weed seriously until they catch you with kilos of it.

  50. Rob Scenity on June 1, 2022 at 12:04 am

I buy my weed in a government weed store in canada. You have to be 19 and can’t drive under the influence, just like alcohol.
