Locals grew pot before these people came to Humboldt. They drew attention to pot growing that wasn’t appreciated.

I’m sorry I laughed at the Fusion Doc and this. It’s the only thing I could do. People need to understand politics better.

    1. The fact they want no regulation should offend everyone in the workforce. Everybody else pays taxes, you don’t get special treatment just because you want it. If that were the case, nobody would pay taxes.
    2. Most of these people were breaking the law for a long, long time. So I don’t have sympathy that they can’t afford to do their farming anymore when they reaped so much benefit illegally. Just be thankful you didn’t get caught and put in jail.
    3. I’ve been to that area, everyone is a Democrat. Dozens of Biden signs. I assume there were dozens of Clinton, Bernie, and Obama signs the years before. They probably voted for Gov. Newsom. Democrats are big-government proponents. This is what a big government does. They come after every industry to get as much money as they can so they can afford a big government. They care about the money and the taxes and these regulations are how they get it. They voted for it. And that leads to…
    4. All of these hippies that came out there originally (I’m assuming) were very pro-socialism. A lot of them are from what I know. But they failed to understand that they loved socialism on a small scale in their commune because they were in control. Now the government is regulating the hell out of them, the government will either take over the land or wealthy donnars of theirs will come in and buy that land and they’ll take control of the industry. That’s socialism on the state level. And now they hate it because they’re not in control. That should be the wake-up call as to why everyone in other countries that have socialist governments feel oppressed. (Just because something works in your home, doesn’t mean it works in everyone’s home.)

The pendulum swings like clockwork. We’re kind of at the apex of pro-leftist ideology and government, in 2022 and 2024 you’ll see a lot more people shift right because they’ll experience oppression from the authoritarian nature of social programs and big government, then we’ll spend about 12-16 years moving towards the right. Then there won’t be enough big government and people will want to be taken care of, and we’ll spend the following 12-16 years headed back towards big government. This happened for decades, it is what it, the anger and frustration most people feel now is just cognitive dissonance and having to face hard realities and admit they were wrong. The only concern now is global governance. If we enter that sphere, I recommend everyone get off the grid unless you’re part of the elite ruling class…and if you don’t know if you are, you’re not.

Arcata has a drug house problem because of your legal people. they don’t get that a drug house is not a normal home with person who needs drugs for health reason. IT’s a house with hundreds of plants and huge industrial lights made for illigal selling. lol they are criminals groing for another person who gets most of the money. NOT the guy living there hahaha he makes a small percentage that’s all. But if you look him up he does not need medical drugs lol your county mare etc…. are complet idiots. All those houses should be raided and put those guys in jail for years only then will it stop.

Now we’re in the period of mechanized greenhouse farming. Huge digitally controlled greenhouses that take dare of lighting, heat, cool, ph, watering – all done automatically are flooding the markets with "product," crashing prices. Growing outdoors, organically creates one crop a season making it very hard to compete with the mechanized farm growing 3 or 4 crops a year. To deal with the corporate farms, and the heavy taxation and regulations from the state, counties and towns, the organic farmers have banded together forming co-ops, breeding better genetics and some have returned to illegal grows. The future of cannabis will likely be close to the way wine grapes are grown and marketed. There will be the mechanized "product" akin to your cheaper wines qualities ranging from "Ugh! What is this stuff"" to good enough to enjoy, and the top quality, sun grown smaller batch, carefully tended connoisseur cannabis. Will the future be people learning to grow their own in their back yard or in a closet "grow tent?" Whatever the case, cannabis has been grown since the beginning of recorded history and beyond and will continue to ease aches and pains, calm the anxious and connect us to all life.

  34. Aaron Garcia on June 18, 2022 at 1:11 am

I grew up in Humboldt, graduated Arcata High school in 1989, it was the absolute best experience I can remember. The people, At least back then, the families were close, even the police department got to know up as kids and always chose to scare us rather than run us in. Drag Racing out at Samoa, beer out at Clam beach, hiking at Trinidad, surfing at Houda Point, fishing in every direction, there was so much to do. This documentary really brings it back, I also remember the ducking and running each year dodging the police or CAMP, it was also part of the awesome experience.

  35. John Allen on June 18, 2022 at 1:11 am

What an evil, wicked, stupid and destructive government we have. They’re the real ‘enemy of the people’, and they always have been. They destroy everything beautiful and good and squander our money on wars and prisons instead of making sure everyone has food, clothing, shelter and is allowed to just live without being persecuted by fascist pigs in uniform. The federal government has always been evil and destructive, and it will be a good day when it finally collapses, which can’t possibly happen soon enough.
