I am writing this before I watch video I am 56 and I first smoked weed at age 12. I am a chronic smoker of the chronic. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. So. As I sit and evaluate my personal experience. I’m left with a very shocking truth. At lest for me. The long term effects of cannabis usage for me has resulted in a lot of happiness that I would repeat with no afterthought. Thank you Mother Earth. For me it has been life long medicine. On a side note. I been diagnosed with childhood PTSD. Truth. ⚑️

Obviously not a reliable source of information the ignorance is evident.
One must have a background in the subject otherwise it is a debate of assumptions.

  6. Lady Butterfly on April 15, 2019 at 9:31 pm

Marijuana should of been kept illegal in other countries (lets hope it stays this way in uk) as it does produce psychotic symptoms in a lot of people, especially the stronger strains. Keep it illegal as far too many kids are ending up with mental health problems because of it! Smoking it is not good for you as any form of smoking is bad on the body. Maybe oils for medicinal use but it needs more research and NEEDS to be controlled.

When asked if you can overdose on marijuana they say: of course. At the same time they all agreed that no one ever died from it. They should have explained it better: You overdose on heroin – YOU DIE, you overdose on cocaine – YOU DIE, you overdose on marijuana – you get a panic attack but you DON’T DIE.

Ive been smoking cannabis for 7 years and have always wandered about these exact qeustions. 2019 and we know so little about this Ancient plant. How embarrassing to this intelligent race. Joe Rogan had Matthew Walker, Professor of neuroscience, on his pod cast(#1109) he explained cannabis shutting down rem cycle during sleep. I am no scientist but CBD is 10x more medically beneficial to my mind body and spirit than thc. While Thc is good to have for creativity, feeling euphoria and and getting that sedated high, in large mounts 10Β·15 tokes or more through out the day Thc brings on the feeling where my conscience(my mind) is not hear, off some where not in the moment while at the same time not necessarily thinking of anything. Its nice transitioning to a more sedated relaxed high before bed but during the day CBD is where most of the the medical benefits come from and more safer to drive on than thc (accept if you take large amounts of cbd than your sedated relaxed from over doing the cbd. That stuff is serious if you dont watch the doseing) In my case and opinion(im only one person). Certain Thc strains(not all) worsens my anxiety. Cbd or Thc its all steming from one plant these two cannabinoids thc & cbd both stimulate my appetite (munchies) which is a great thing cause sometimes Im stuburn and dont eat. Cannabis in whole is medically beneficial for this guy and alot of people I know. The tittle Recreational weed is just absurd its a money grab for sure. Its like Seperating the same pile of dirt and saying this dirt is medically beneficial and this one isent. . Stay medicated stay sane stay happy peace love

Marijuana changed my life. It started as a great thing for me. It was fun and became a social thing for me. I then began smoking almost daily. I never overdid it though and usually smoked once before bed and it helped me sleep great. Then I started seeing negative effects. I began getting heart palpitations, sharp pains in my chest and neck. Coronary artery spasms, shortness of breath, feelings of fullness in the chest, weakness, light headed and Lots of scary pains. I got a lot of tests done and I was found to be good health. But there’s no denying the severity of these symptoms… One doctor has the theory that the weed made me develop a severe anxiety disorder… Since I quit, I feel better and am still in the process of figuring out what’s the matter with me. But my heart has never been the same. Exercise is hard and scary at times. … Marijuana is a good thing, but don’t pretend it’s a miracle drug with no negative affects… There are risks in the unknown as I found out.

Lortabs.. oxycodone.. sleeping pills.. and whatever cut back pills you doctors get are way betterπŸ˜‚πŸ€£ and dude must drink all the time.. alcohol "you always get drunk on the same dose" I know some drunks that will prove that WRONGπŸ˜‚

  21. Larry Tate on April 15, 2019 at 9:46 pm

It’s like alcohol and other drugs and should be used occasionally in moderation except in medical situations. It’s great for stoping seizures in people with epilepsy. It’s also good for pain and not as addicting as opiate pain medications.

  22. Rubbergazelle412 on April 15, 2019 at 9:47 pm

So u tryna say because society accepts it now it means ur no longer lazy but when it wasn’t accepted ppl who were stoners were seen as lazy so only because society sees it as not lazy means they’re now not lazy

  23. findingmycenter on April 15, 2019 at 9:48 pm

The plant is correctly referred to as cannabis, not marijuana. Get it right!

  24. ace spades on April 15, 2019 at 9:50 pm

marijuana helps me when i use it medically which i do for my anxiety and my ptsd but once i start smoking to get high i dont do as well productively with stuff i need to do in my life marijauna can be great if not abused to just be high i smoke a joint im still here not stoned more relaxed less chance of having anxiety or ptsd driven attacks still functional abd productive but if i smoke 2 or 3 joints ill be too high to be productive in a usefull way weeds not a bad thing it can be good and it can definatelly be abused

Incredible. Not one question about brain damage associated with any ADULT recreational use (either light or heavy).

  30. JChezy on April 15, 2019 at 9:58 pm

No one on the panel knew of a death attributed to Cannabis. Because of the THC level being extracted and being introduced into edibles it has brought psychotic episodes in people. Here in Colorado we have people getting high and being aggressive and violent to people walking along the 16th Street Mall. People have stopped shopping downtown because this tends to increase during the summer months. As for a death, a man ate an edible in Castle Rock (15 miles south of Denver), became disoriented and paranoid. His wife called the police for help and was killed by her husband while waiting for police to arrive. I guess that counts as a cannabis related death. This death can be verified, look it up.

  31. Olivia Maria on April 15, 2019 at 9:58 pm

I have known a few people that use cannabis for years. They have eventually ended up with mental illnesses. This drug should not be used for recreation it gives you high blood pressure, heart problems, impairment blackouts, sleepless nights, low self esteem, hallucinations. For young people it causes poor brain development, no goals or focus, personality change, slow reactions, irrational thinking, anxiety, emotional.
I rather have a glass of red wine instead.

  32. legion1a on April 15, 2019 at 10:02 pm

These people got all of their knowledge about marijuana from a Christian magazine article written in 1957!
I’ve never seen so much ignorance about marijuana in one place at one time!
I think that the guy on the right is not only ignorant but also a liar!

The research for these marijuana use would be so difficult and all the answers of these questions can not be verified as long as there is these CHR that prevents studies that uses humans.

  37. Subhodeep Biswas on April 15, 2019 at 10:05 pm

Too much of roundabout attempts to say there’s a valid fear about smoking marijuana, however we don’t have proof & we r not sure ! Seriously?

  39. Michael 11803 on April 15, 2019 at 10:09 pm

All the people commenting on their long term use and how it has not had negative impacts should know that brains are different, strains are different and reactions are different. I work with people who are addicted and have had their life negatively impacted legally, physically and mentally. It’s not the cure all people make it out to be, especially when smoking.

  40. Kerry Burns on April 15, 2019 at 10:09 pm

The legalisation of marijuana will herald a huge increase in the factory farming of the crop.
Marijuana is prey to a wide variety of pests and diseases, which are controlled with various poisons.
Growth is promoted with various hormones and fertilisers.
This is what most people are smoking.
Negative effects are always blamed on the marijuana – the wider picture is never discussed.
This leads me to believe that the "health issue" is of no interest to the government.
It would be much safer to encourage people to grow their own, but how would the government make any money from this booming new economy?

  41. Pablo Demetri on April 15, 2019 at 10:10 pm

As a new user of marijuana (age 46) I came here to be educated on the pros & cons of this plant. Half way into the video its clear to see that these people are either not sufficiently familiar with the obvious benefits or are intentionally distorting the message to discourage non users and those on the fence. Better use of time to say you’re too much of a coward to sign off on the use of marijuana for fear of backlash from your colleagues and grant writers. I’ll seek my education elsewhere.

  44. Grizbands on April 15, 2019 at 10:17 pm

Listen, i dont know everything. But is it not sketchy that when you search for the effects of weed all that comes up are government websites (.gov), which are the same people who made weed illegal in the first place and aren’t making money off of it.
