Covid-19 'Ironically' Boosted Cannabis Market, Curaleaf CEO Says

Aug.18 — Curaleaf Holdings Inc. Executive Chairman Boris Jordan says the Covid-19 pandemic “ironically” helped the cannabis industry as new customers trying to alleviate stress entered the market. He speaks with Bloomberg’s Caroline Hyde, Romaine Bostick and Taylor Riggs on “Bloomberg Markets: The Close.”

    Nothing "ironic" about it. People are very anxious and uncertain about the future, so they’re alleviating stress by using drugs/alcohol. Add to that massive gov’t forced unemployment and people have nothing to do.
