The biggest cannabis company in the world

Big Weed is already here.

The very biggest cannabis companies in the world, Canopy Growth, owns over a dozen brands (like Tweed). Based out of Canada, business is good after the legalization of recreational marijuana.

“Our goal is to be big and to be successful,” says Jordan Sinclair, the VP of communications at Canopy Growth.

That hasn’t stopped premium growers, like Mario Sherbinski, from plotting success. He runs one of the splashiest brands in the new world of legal weed. (Recreational weed became legal in his home state, California, in 2018.) His company, Sherbinskis, sells premium product.

Is there space in the legal weed economy for corporate cannabis and boutique bud?

They don’t own dna, it’s a licensing agreement. CGC is the worst thing to happen to cannabis since prohibition.

1 year later this hasnt been true still. Weed prices are on the rise. Theres dispensaries popping up all over the place. The price went from 30 an 8th-40 an 8th recreationally to 60-80 dollars an 8th in most states recreationally. The prices keep getting higher and so does the demand. I think there will be a lot of room for small mom and pop stores if they can sell it cheaper than the big companies who are asking 60$ for 12% thc products in like every state and selling out of it too. Carts used to be 25 for .5g and 50 for a 1g now its 50-70 dollars for .5 gram cart and 80-100 for a full gram cart. Ive noticed dispensaries are full of flower now like 20 kinds to choose from so the demand is being met somewhat.

Shame on America who claims to be the world leader , it is now allowing the production of marijuana, a country that went to Colombia to destroy the plantation of cocaine. American have the right to shitty drug but no one can do it.

i honestly think cannabis legalization is the next big step in our society, clean medicine to help people with issues that everyone experiences like stress and anxiety. I cant wait to vote this year to try to legalize in my state. The only downside is that people need to act like adults and be safe with smoking but even with legal things like alcohol there are issues.

  29. lau S on December 14, 2020 at 10:31 pm

Better legal businesses than the destruction to the environment and harmful job conditions than the illegal drug cartels are doing. You lefties get lots of tax revenue here in Calif. while the environment is destroyed and you lose that $. Payroll taxes, regulatory fees, etc.
How could you be so naive to think this was going usher in a golden age of diversity? Only the criminals and open borders? Glad it’s finally removing harm.

Instantly realized who the company was when they said they owned tweed and Doja. Utopia is such a good strain, just wish it was less dry when I got it lol

  40. L P on December 14, 2020 at 10:45 pm

Big companies are going to dominate the market because of the regulations put in place. The little guys can’t afford the requirements put in place. And the big companies end up charging what they want. And that is why black market weed is still cheaper.

  45. Jeffrey Locke on December 14, 2020 at 10:52 pm

It’s always been about pecuniary interest. People that have an issue with this reality need to grow their own. As for supreme, supply and demand, you don’t have to buy anything you don’t want to. If "IT" is all about something else for you then, hey… more power to ya.

  46. Gili0 on December 14, 2020 at 10:53 pm

I’m so phased by the way big business took over the industry without any of us having a clue how it was done. My only assumptions are daddy’s money and 95% of the world’s luck being hoarded by a select few.
