Starting tissue culture cannabis. Stage 1 Introduction
Starting tissue culture cannabis. Stage 1 Introduction
After trying to fit bulky camera equipment in our tiny tissue culture space, I simply tucked my phone under a tray above the handling area.
In this video which takes place in a city licensed and inspected facility, clean veg branch tips a have been washed in chlorine solution and are being trimmed and introduced into a special liquid version of the Microclone media. We just made it without the agar and use it narrow tubes to keep the cuttings upright.
Also, the larger starts stand upright in the tubes, grow faster, and do not exibit unnacceptable contamination, often.
What is the formula for the solution you use? Do you have a video of your prep process? Where do you purchase your supplies? Thanks!
Thanks for sharing but you didn’t talk about the culturing method and process really at all? Whats the point…
We sell the media to make one liter, 120 tubes, for $10.95 on planttc.com and ship to all countries. Search Multkit.
How are you rooting them? And in what are you rooting them in?
Waiting on my kit arriving so if i put a cut in gel in a tube do you think it will live if sending from uk to usa
Wow
I’m from Ukraine. I want to grow the host (in vitro). Where can I buy agar gel with auxin ? brukhly1977@ukr.net
How can I message you privately for business proposals?
Does this method kill viroids?
it is very important for my subjects
Very cool. I am a plantsman in wa state. I am interested in TC for ornamental plants. Looks FUN!!! Great vid homey.
Garbage video dude. You didnt explain anything. Im pretty sure we all know how to clone and would like to get an idea of whats happening here but you literally said nothing useful. This was a waste of time.
how come your medium is liquidy? arent you supposed to add agar so it solidifies ?
nice vid bro, I’ve always been interested in tissue culture….
What are the advantages of this? To beat mites? Powder mildew?
Why was no agar added? Why are the cuttings so large?
I am always happy to do updates. most of the times I am working with others that record the actoon and forget to send me the videos or links.
the there are several advantages to makung this starter media without agar, it rinses and dilutes the chlorine, it foliar feeds the cutting, and the preservative is distributed over the entire surface.
I would like to hear from some of the kit users who have used the liquid. We are preparing to change the starting technique to strictly liquid media.
Can you take a cutting from a flowering plant or a plant re-vegged after flower ? Will this reset the genetic age of the plant restoring the vigor ? I misjudged a plant during a pheno hunt and very upset I killed the mother. I still have it in flower though for another week or two and I have a microclone kit on the way.
here is a link so you can do tissue culture at home https://www.amazon.com/Super-Starts-Culture-Starter-Propagation/dp/B01N54Z37D/ref=as_sl_pc_qf_sp_asin_til?tag=hydromaster-20&linkCode=w00&linkId=96f9dc2d5e5ff08fb0e668624a1c906b&creativeASIN=B01N54Z37D
Will all the microclones be free of any pathogens?
will this work on flowering plant?
How is this not just a complicated way of cloning? It looks like you’re just taking cuttings, bleaching them, and rooting them in tubes. I really think there is more to it than this.
The best starts are from clean vegetative branch tips. Plants that have begun flowering have many small small meristems and are more difficult to clean. i advise attemptung only aftervmastering basic introduction.
Tissue culture is one of the tools you can use to reset the genetics. It is a matter of turning on inactice stress genes from the earlier years. The TC hormones will activate some of those genes, and the minerals in the media directly feed into the tissues.
Can you tell me how to make Media and do you root these in the tubes and then transplant to harden off?
ok so no agar. everything still got run in the pressure cooker though right? including the media?
Parafilm should be able to wrap up those bottles. Great video thanks for sharing
why use a rusty knife tho?
Will you do updates on these?
How did u sterilize these plastic tubes?
What’s the smallest size sample of tissue can be used with this method? I’ve noticed that you have quite large ‘cuttings’ for this video. However I’ve heard that tissue culture can be done with as little as a single cell. Is there a reason why you use such a large sample? Pro’s/con’s?
Have you ever tried to use tissue culture with smaller samples or say from a piece of leaf or stem nub?
Thanks
Seeing all the bad habbits in the cleanroom is making me cringe. Wtf is that ring, where are your gloves, Why do you block laminar flow with your finger, WHY ARE YOU USING A DINNER PLATE?!?!?
