I have experience in prescription drug contracts. I’d like to point out a legal circumstance that might impact the cannabis industry. There are a few state laws that forbid selling Rx drugs below cost. If the same concept is applied to retail cannabis, the power of consolidated operators to crush their competition via price pressure will be severely limited. Sure, it’s another layer of regulation, but one that the smaller, boutique, or "craft", growers would probably welcome.
