  6. Sinister Minister on July 18, 2021 at 9:04 pm

Legalization was the right move and it’s going to take time to work the bugs out of the system. Organized crime worms its way into many legitimate legal businesses. You only have to look at the construction industry in Quebec to see that.

  7. Funny Stuff on July 18, 2021 at 9:04 pm

he is probably in with the damn mafia or other criminal organization

  8. IAN Wang on July 18, 2021 at 9:07 pm

Legalising Criminal Organisation and asking them to pay taxes which will reduced their profit. Good luck on that.

  9. Clone Ranger on July 18, 2021 at 9:07 pm

This is a dream for organized crime, they can launder money into a legit business, what’s wrong with that? They are helping people with the financial mountain that it takes to get in the business. What is really absurd is that most of the people they hire got their experience with weed when it was still illegal, so what does it matter where the criminals come from or the money. The end result is the consumer wins and what’s wrong with that.

  20. Ben Murchison on July 18, 2021 at 9:22 pm

Who do you think has the experience. Folks who have been doing it for decades. The government would be smart to look to so called criminals for their councel. People who have experience growwing cannabis and every canadian citizen should have the same right to be part of the industry as the big money corperations who have attempted to monopolize the budding industry of legal cannabis in Canada.

  21. Kristen Sorensen on July 18, 2021 at 9:23 pm

So much legal weed they can’t get rid of it all so it gets shipped where it replaces the illegal ditch weed. How shocking!!

  22. zook dom on July 18, 2021 at 9:24 pm

Bahaha Mafia? More likely dispensaries run by normal honest people. Where do you think the 100 dispensaries in Vancouver (illegal federally, but thanks to Gregor Robertson, he protected them from the unjust law) were receiving their cannabis from ? Honest hard working people being labeled as mafia, a complete and utter joke. Propaganda at its finest.

Investigate deadly drugs in big pharma that have to warn you of "suicidal tendencies". Stop flushing money down the toilet "investigating" weed.

This is so biases. Did they get shot or stabbed picking up the weed 😠

  47. Thomas Thomas on July 18, 2021 at 9:51 pm

Organized crime can be multi-layered and extremely complex. There is litterally no way to completely remove it from Canadian business, and fear of organized crime cannot be allowed to stop Canadians from moving forward. Yes current laws are imperfect, yes the Liberals are responsible for these particular laws, yes organized crime is involved with cannabis and cigarettes and alcohol and food and construction and te media and toy drives for children and most definately polatics. In a system based on the accumulation of wealth and power there will always be those willing to get ahead at the expense of others, some are called criminal others are called businessmen and others politicians.
Sure the Libs created a imperfect law, but the reality is legalization will transfer some of the wealth out organized crime and into public coffers. So, while it is imperfect and organized crime is still involved, it is better than what we had with prohibition

  49. Floyd Conrad on July 18, 2021 at 9:52 pm

That’s because dispensaries reject so much weed, the growers have to sell it to other less legit investors

  50. Baba Ku on July 18, 2021 at 9:56 pm

Illegally you can walk across the street and pay $40 for some homegrown or legally you can drive for two hours to wait in the rain for an hour for about 4 choices. Scam lol
