Marijuana Industry Insight – Episode 3: Vertical/Multi-Level Commercial Cannabis Cultivation

Multi-Level marijuana growing, also sometimes referred to as ‘vertical marijuana farming,’ is becoming more popular for cannabis growers with constraints on energy usage, square footage, and/or other factors. Although it is not always recommended to go multi-level, it is becoming more popular in commercial cannabis production.

Actually it is more profitable if you do it right. But you don’t have to do it just with stacked horizontal growing. Check this out! And Nate call us would love for you to check it out. https://youtu.be/YBnfVb3Nqi8

I’m curious…with all of the production advantages of hydro systems, why is it that every commercial grow you’ve featured uses soilless setups? I’m curious if it’s a liability/risk factor or if there’s something I’m missing. Thanks in advance!

My first job in the industry I worked in a multi level facility. The front rows 5 levels and the rest was 7 levels and it was all hydroponic. It was a great set up but the environment for the plants was horrible.
