Marijuana Industry Insight – Episode 3: Vertical/Multi-Level Commercial Cannabis Cultivation
Multi-Level marijuana growing, also sometimes referred to as ‘vertical marijuana farming,’ is becoming more popular for cannabis growers with constraints on energy usage, square footage, and/or other factors. I’m curious…with all of the production advantages of hydro systems, why is it that every commercial grow you’ve featured uses soilless setups? I’m curious if it’s a liability/risk factor or if there’s something I’m missing. Thanks in advance!

My first job in the industry I worked in a multi level facility. The front rows 5 levels and the rest was 7 levels and it was all hydroponic. It was a great set up but the environment for the plants was horrible.
