Legalized Recreational Marijuana Could Come To Pennsylvania, But Some Say More Analysis Needed

A state Senate hearing on Monday morning could be the kickoff to legalizing adult use marijuana in Pennsylvania. As political editor Jon Delano explains, a Republican state senator says he wants to build on the success of the state’s medical marijuana program.

Pennsylvania has NO choice but to follow neighboring states, and legalize…and they Know it!!…they will lose Hundreds of Millions, as NJ is a few Weeks away from opening Stores. People are underestimating how much money this industry brings……always follow the Money.

Such fears of contaminated marijuana would be eliminated if legal adults could grow their own.

Medical patients should be allowed to grow their own plants, if they want so they know where it comes from.

If it was legalized. People would more than likely be smoking regulated and lab tested cannabis, instead of street weed.

I have no problem with this except I can’t stand that awful "skunk" smell. My neighbors smoke but since I live in a side by side duplex and that smell comes right through my walls.

He thinks they need more data? There’s a WEALTH of data regarding recreational marijuana in states that have had it for years now, and most of it is pretty positive. Aside from tax money that it would bring, underage people in these states are actually doing it less than in states where it’s not legal. Cops don’t like it because there’s no breathalyzer to tell them if you’ve had marijuana, but it’s definitely not causing issues on the roads. There’s a bar on every street corner and people driving drunk everywhere, maybe they should start replacing some bars with dispensaries, we’d be far better off.

I’ll be surprised if Pennsylvania ever legalizes recreational cannabis . This state likes to over analyze everything .
And PA is one of the highest taxed states in the Country….. so if does pass it will be expensive .

  34. David Motes on April 30, 2022 at 8:46 pm

This isn’t high school where you get in trouble for copying answers off someone else’s test. Just copy what has worked in the other states and get it done. So simple.

  35. bloodypulp88 on April 30, 2022 at 8:48 pm

legalize it or not im still gonna get it….right from our own state lol everyone just needs a medical card its just a loophole!

Marijuana is already the most studied plant on Earth, and is arguably one of the most investigated therapeutically active substances known to man.
To date, there are now over 20,000 published studies or reviews in the scientific literature pertaining to marijuana and its active compounds.
