The taxes are way too high and the regulations too overburdening. Also too many local jurisdictions are still in prohibition mode. It is better to stay with the unregulated market.

Yeah, the taxes are insane. This could work really well, but California is way too greedy with their taxes. I stopped going to retailers because of the insane prices for tax. A lot of them have decided to put the taxes directly into the price of the product, so when you finally ring up the product, the additional tax isn’t such a huge jump. It’s still the same taxes, but not as much of a shock.
Either way, the taxes are impossibly high and this story shows what happens when regulators are blinded by $$ in their eyes.
