More than two dozen companies have submitted 45 applications to state regulators, hoping to be picked out of a lottery for one of six licenses to open a medical marijuana dispensary in Rhode Island next year.

How is this legal…? I cannot wait for this state to be audited.!!!! I agree with needing the new compassion centers but why should the applicants have to pay such a high price just to apply… and just who is it that draws this "lottery"?
Expanding medical when they should be expediting recreational. I just spent $40 in taxes in Attleboro yesterday. I’ve spent hundreds in taxes in MA over the last two years. 20% flying out of RI into the MA pockets!
Until marijuana is LEGALIZED in the state of Rhode Island i’m still not satisfied.
