Looks like intel at works. You should cover this.
Besides i build my first ever AMD system in about 30 years mostly because of your videos. Got a 3900x and its working amazing in handbrake.

  9. James Fullerton on August 7, 2022 at 3:09 am

Any thoughts on the march release of nvidia’s refreshed 20 series cards and if that will delay the "30" series cards?

Those with "unwavering ambition" are frequently the last ones who deserve ANY power, and frequently quite self sabotaging.

  11. Vaidas Šukaukas on August 7, 2022 at 3:11 am

Never liked Raja Koduri. Whenever I listened to his interviews, he came across as bullshiter. No wonder, if he’s got great ambition… On top of that, AMD always struggled with GPUs. And software side/drivers were so abysmal, and Koduri was the one leading Radeon division.

  12. nashathedog on August 7, 2022 at 3:12 am

Something wrong at Intel Graphics? That’ll be Raj Koduri.

  13. Pandu POLUAN on August 7, 2022 at 3:13 am

With Intel practically sponsoring development of multithreaded gaming, I think Intel is kneecapping themselves: As more multithreaded games come out, Intel’s (admittedly slim) lead in STP (Single Threaded Performance) becomes less and less relevant.

  14. bob humplick on August 7, 2022 at 3:14 am

finally some dirt on intel. people think i just dont want to hear anything bad about intel. but truth be told im just so tired of hearing all about amd and nothing about intel, good or bad (besides amd are gonna stomp intel for awhile, because duh, we know that). if intel get burried for good itll be a sad day. even though intels culture is steering them towards that, once in awhile (well everytime they have went off track so far) something great from within intel steers them back. for all the incompetence and ego there, they also have some huge talents. or they did anyway. maybe those days are over. but who’ll keep amd from becoming the bloated elvis version of themselves (another intel).

and yes that was a fat elvis reference. we’re not all millenials (well by strict definition i think i am a millenial lol).

as for intel, i hope the tigerlakeintegrated graphics team pushes ahead and eventually get to put THEIR arch on a discrete card. and hopefully Swan is smart enough to reign in raja or whomever needs it. but of course i shouldnt think too much of swan. he is ceo of intel of course. intel has succeeded in spite of its leadership often enough. i hope they can do it again. and i hope Swan isnt the ceo i think him to be.

put all the dirt you can out, as long as its unbiased and credible. i want to know if this whole clusterF#$% is the death of intel or its rebirth. i know it doesnt look good right now but the fact that leakers are talking, that legal firms are being called in, that raja and hook got broken up and raja apparently reigned in, its means somebody is taking intels situation seriuosly. i mean about 3-4 years too late, but thats intel for you.

  21. Defective Clone on August 7, 2022 at 3:23 am

Raja gave us Vega 56 and 64 along with vega 7… all trash products.. good thing he went to intel.. (now hes screwing them over lol) As soon as he left the next GPU AMD released turns out to be awesome.

  22. DeadNoob on August 7, 2022 at 3:23 am

Man i just want a midrange GPU that wont cost 600-700$ or come with drivers on one level with a 12 year olds first minecraft mod. If only that wasnt a delusional dream or nostalgic memory of the past.
But no, here comes intel as what seems to somehow be the worst of the bunch. What a bummer even though i dont like that company.

Well, heres hoping that AMD remembers they have a team/single person that develops their drivers so they can spend some of their Zen-bucks on hiring coders. Id love to get a 5700(xt), but the mountains of people with a ridiculous number of driver issues are really diminishing the appeal of Navi as a whole.

At least the CPU market is at its best price/performance ratio for the last decade right now. Also thanks for the update even if it was bad news.

  23. Marti Grey on August 7, 2022 at 3:23 am

Good choice taking away the money and cancelling the events for 2020 isn’t it?

  24. SteveAkaGoatpile on August 7, 2022 at 3:27 am

almost always happens when a company grows too bloated. it becomes disconnected with the outside world and resources get wasted in endless internal politics and management overhead. internal fracturing happens and the focus shifts to fullfill the demands of internal corperate structure instead of the market. Sloth and Pride defines working conditions. Some major restructuring needs to happen and a lot of fat needs to be cut before Intel can seriously compete with AMD again. all this showcases just how little profit or money matter.

I honestly can’t believe how small the Intel is. Not only. Are they stupid and do not understand how to engineer products nor how to Market them, but they actually think that they have done more for AMD than AMD has actually done? I mean if you look at their terrible Core Design, that’s literally a decade-old at this point in time. It’s pretty clear to see that they have no idea how to engineer. So honestly, it was just a matter of time before a company like AMD, which actually does engineered products would surpass their 10-year old engineering. Intel was just so anti-competitive. AMD was literally broke and unable to execute their designs. So we got the cheapest And easiest to manufacture chips, that could not compete with Intel’s same old architecture just due to money. I think that everybody who follows lithography and architectures would understand that had even Steamroller come to Market in the form of FX desktop that AMD would have significantly more market share at this point in time. But unfortunately AMD had no money to roll out their improved or fixed designs. To anything, but the low end Market. Therefore intel was allowed to continue to sell their ancient platform again and again and again until Zen launched. The push for games to use multiple cores is really based around amd’s presence in the console Market. It is not due to Intel paying companies to optimize for more cores when they are pushing products with only single core performance. This is just more Intel executive FUD spewing because that is honestly the only thing that company knows how to do.
The reality. Is that consoles? Represent the biggest part of the actual gaming Market. Outside of people using home web browsing desktops to play games like RuneScape. Actual gamers are mostly playing on consoles. Especially over the last years. While the PC market for gaming has indeed grown. It is not the same as the mass Market using consoles.
Therefore intel was simply left behind with their old designs and are still struggling to engineer something that actually works. Welcome to. Corporation for the last 25 years. Do we not remember what happened with AMD and Athlon? Intel could literally not engineer past what was essentially Pentium one optimized drunk and with additional execution units added to make Pentium 3. They instead use their dirty business tactics and anti-competitive nonsense to keep themselves in the market and sell their Cobble together a garbage while Superior engineering was drained of They instead use their dirty business tactics and anti-competitive nonsense to keep themselves in the market and sell There are cobbled-together chips. While AMD was drained of all of its funds despite having Superior engineering.

Right now Intel is doing the same thing and this video is proof of it.

Well we all know that lol

  34. Adrian A on August 7, 2022 at 3:39 am

    a`right guy, how’s it goin`… ?
… as for the content of the video, pretty hilarious actually… if you find throwing buckets of Intel money out the window of bad products funny. AHahah, oh man… All those years of them selling us overpriced CPUs … due to lack of competition, only so they can make bad investment after bad investment , ahahha… from automotive to.. whatever other things they thought of. But I dont suppose that their investors find it very funny however… hm.

  41. MrJim on August 7, 2022 at 3:52 am

There’s a lot of talk about the people at the top of the company, but to be honest it’s the guys at the bottom, in large numbers, that really make the difference. Intel has been hostile to their best contributors and thus have gutted their talent and their future.

  42. Syth on August 7, 2022 at 3:52 am

"We decide what the customer wants". F you. Things like this make me glad that I’ve never gave Intel any money…

  45. Jouni Osmala on August 7, 2022 at 3:54 am

Now the real issue for Intel graphics is that GPU:s are large, including Integrated GPU:s. CPU cores are small. For same area of silicon CPU cores are just so much more valuable than GPU, and in supply constrained situation Intel will always make less money if they spend their wafers on graphics instead of CPU cores.

  46. Rhayr Harry on August 7, 2022 at 3:54 am

Sad to see Intel in full apoptosis mode. We need more not less cpu and gpu companies.

  47. Andy Chow on August 7, 2022 at 3:55 am

Why doesn’t intel just take it’s Iris gpu and put it on a pcie card? If Intel sold a card like that, for $100-200, I’d buy it. Intel has the best gpu drivers.
