When rebellious Elisabeth falls for Emperor Franz and becomes his unlikely bride, she enters a world of tension and intrigue at the Viennese court.
Doesn’t this show already exist?? Sisi was great but I do not need to watch it a second time
Wooow, it looks interesting.
How much do you think will be accurate? How much of her life do you think they’ll cover?
Netflix is whack! Another promising show dubbed over in English!
let’s hope only the trailer is ridiculously overdramatic
Empress Sissi is probably more famous than her husband who participated in World War I πππ Everyone in Europe knows her…I went to Italy three years ago and there was a big portrait of her in a coffee shop
Why is every show about spoiled rich people?
I really want to watch this!!!!
I’m familiar with the story of Sisi. I look forward to this
Love. However Elizabeth is sadly not as beautiful as the original.
Let’s just remember that the real Empress was 16 at the time of her marriage to the Emperor.
My selfish hope is that this brings more attention to the musical Elisabeth, because itβs one of my utter favorites. β€
I remember the movies with Romi Schneider. And, there was also a cartoon show when I was young. I genuinely cannot wait for this. My mom was such a fan of the trilogy movie that her weddjng dress was inspired by Sissi’s wedding dress. So, yeah, I cannot wait.
Oh look at that, they have yet again tried to modernize a great part of history and tried to tell it in a more exciting and relatable way instead of just understanding the historical context, how surprising !
I have always loved the Sissi movies and cannot wait for this!!! Looks incredible!
Not anotherrrrrrrrr corset slander story πππ
They’re making her into an austrian, different time period Lady Di, which isn’t who she was. She was her own person with her own story worth telling. But who is interested in untold stories.
I just realized in the end this is dubbed. Ugh. π
Wooow
Is this dub?!
Wow theyβre white, I didnβt expect that from European period dramas nowadays.
It looks like its going to be good! I hope its not another period piece that theyve decided to dirty up with a MA rating just to garner popularity. Hopefully itll be a rating that adults who dont wach MA ratings will be able to enjoy.
I googled Sissi and you can tell by her photos alone that she was a sensitive, intuitive woman. it must have been very difficult for her to be in the Viennese court
i’m sorry but the costume design is HIDEOUS
another confused wealthy person…boring.
Just hope it is more based on her true life and not like the old movies from her …
Oh wow! I grew up watching the Sissi movies about her, played by the wonderful Romi Schneider. Iβm curious what this is going to be like!
I always judge a movie by its trailer but with a series Iβm hooked just by watching the trailer
Looks really cool
So Empress Sisi of Austria and Queen of Hungary…….well then. Proceed.
When Sissi died…people say the Emperor said "Only God knows how much I loved that woman" π
????
Many say Sissi didn’t really love Franz…he was so much of a mama’s boy and allowed his mother to walk all over Sissi.
The Empress hated court and preferred to travel rather than staying home…even though her husband constantly asked her to stay. Everytime she remained in court she would get depressed and sick. She couldn’t raise most of her children because they were took away as soon as they were born by her mother in law. Sissi begged to raise her children…but since she was in her teens (she married Franz at 15 and had her first baby at 16-17) her mother in law didn’t think she was suitable to raise them
Wait…is this the story of Sissi, Empress and queen of Austria-Hungary? Or am I tripping? I loved the Romy Schneider version but it was rather cute instead of serious…Sissi lived a very sad and trapped life despite her fun loving and free nature.
Also, "when a thing doesn’t bend…it must break"? That quote is from The Crown season 4
What name of the music in the beginning??
OMG – the costumes are a MESS!
This looks great
Wonder why the world is an ugle mess? Here’s some reasons music, movies, TV, celebrites, video games, evil in schools, nothing but brutal murder, hate, revenge, excessive pride, immoral sex… Instead we should be seeking our pure, loving, and forgiving God. Believe in Jesus the savior and repent.
Big shoes to fill because the original 3 movie series of Sissi with Romy Schneider was one of the best and most beautiful things put to film. This had better be good….
Wait! Im still in the 2009 version with Cristiana Capotondi π
I had the impression from multiple Historians that Sisi didnβt love her husband like how he did her. It is like 1986βs Lady Jane with Helena Bonham Carter, Hollywood made it a greater love story than reality.
Was anyone else a huge fan of the cartoon?
Me, a Viennese: *insert exhausted BenAffleck meme here*
This is so sad, because thatβs what they do.they do break her. And itβs soul shattering.
Aw, I was actually looking forward to this. It’s a shame it’s dubbed.
Waiting for the black Maximilian to stay on course with new woke agenda. Probably have Chris Rock playing that role. He comes out of the palace balcony and says: Damn is cold up in here, I need some warm chicken.
I thought my phone was lagging until I read all the dubbing comments lol
Netflix please show us trailers in the original language please.
Ehhhh Itβs dubbed. Iβll pass
the costuming is tragic
