The Canadian Cannabis Market with Tweed

The federal Cannabis Act came into effect on 17 October 2018 and made Canada the first G7 and G20 nation, to formally legalize the cultivation, possession, acquisition and consumption of cannabis and its by-products.

On June 17, 2020 I had an Interview with Nicholas Majka. Director of the Supply Chain Center of Excellence at Canopy Growth to discuss the Canadian Cannabis Market.

Canopy Growth is the world’s largest cannabis company and based out of Ottawa, Canada. There, he delivers the tools and capabilities necessary to make a world-class supply chain in this rapidly evolving sector, including analytics, process improvement, and strategic planning. Previously, Nick was a Global Director at AB-InBev where he travelled the world in pursuit of best operational practices and great beer. He served eight years in the United States Marine Corps as a helicopter pilot and civil affairs officer, with three deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He earned his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and received his joint MBA/MA from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania.
