To reiterate Tim’s affirmation that cannabis legislation is a slam dunk. The major detractors to cannabis legislation passing at this point make an argument it could stall with a senate Republican Filibuster.

    As a counter argument —
The "Nuclear Option" would be possible to allow a 51 vote end of the Filibuster, at which point a simple majority vote would be needed to forward the MORE Act through the senate.
The Nuclear Option essentially would have Senate Majority Leader [D] Chuck Schumer call a point of order to end a Filibuster, at which point the Presiding Officer of the Senate [like the judge in a court] would deny the point of order. Majority Leader Schumer could then make an appeal, which invokes a vote on the point of order to override the Presiding Officer’s decision. The appeal itself takes a simple majority, and would overturn the Presiding Officer’s decision [which would end the Filibuster], thus 51 votes would be needed to end a Filibuster on senate legislation. An additional 51 votes would be needed to pass the MORE Act. The Democrats have 51 votes in the senate [counting Kamala Harris], and might have even more than that if you consider that six or so Republican senators reside in states where cannabis is fully legal.

These companies are growing like crazy and have already shown to have a profitable formula of production and distribution. I have a position in all of these 5 but mostly in Trulieve. Stellar management and execution. Not like crappy Aurora or Canopy growth.
Safe banking act will be a big push forward but federal legalization is not necessary.

Blue wave also means destroying jobs. Look what biden did on day one. 20,000 jobs with the swipe of a pin

Get off yer "high" horse. Carter was the ONLY Dem pres that tried to decriminalize marijuana. ALL the rest have been, publicly anyway, vehemently opposed. Especially yer boi Obama. Biden was his veep, can’t imagine any difference.

With the way this country is coming apart at the seams….having a pause to get high & calm the hell down may not be a bad idea. Snoop Dogg would agree, πŸ‘πŸΎ

  19. @iamhudsdent2759 on February 1, 2024 at 12:25 am

There was no blue wave. Dems lost a lot of seats in House. They gained some in the Senate, and "won" the White House, through election fraud. Without the fraud, they would have lost the Senate and the WH, probably the House too. Anybody who looks at the evidence knows this is true. I watched days of hearings and saw many witnesses. The Biden "presidency" is illegitimate. That’s why the leftist media has to censor the truth.
