Utah cities ignoring state medical cannabis law

A bill advancing in the Utah State Legislature threatens to cut funding from cities that refuse to recognize medical cannabis as a legitimate prescription drug.

Senate Bill 233 is being backed by two powerful lawmakers on Utah’s Capitol Hill: Senate Minority Leader Luz Escamilla, D-Salt Lake City, and Senate Majority Leader Evan Vickers, R-Cedar City. The two are tasked by the Utah State Senate with running medical cannabis legislation.

It’s outrageous that there are people still seeking to control other adults using plants. Whether it’s a prescription or for recreational use as a safer alternative to alcohol, these losers can’t keep their noses out of other people’s business. The Maryland senate just passed a measure recognizing the gun rights of medical marijuana patients but cities in Utah are still having to deal with these stone age authoritarian busybody meddlers.

Where does it say in the Bill of Rights that government needs to be involved with such matters?

No one who uses it should be allowed to work in government or any position of authority and or responsibility. Let all the recreational users who lie move to California.
