How to get a loan for a cannabis company | Underwriting a Cannabis Business Loan
It can be difficult to obtain a #loan for your #cannabis #business. The industry is still relatively new and because of the legal landscape, many banks and traditional lenders are hesitant to work with cannabis companies. However, there are some options available for those looking to finance their cannabis business. In this article, we’ll explore a few ways to get funding for your cannabis company.
The cannabis industry is growing rapidly as more and more states legalize the use of marijuana. This presents a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs who are looking to start their own business in this burgeoning industry.
How to qualify for a cannabis business loan
First, you have to present your marijuana business model to a lender. Like any other business, you will need to show the lender that you have all the bases covered. Go over all variables of where your business plan can go and how you are prepared to pivot regardless of what challenges you may face. Include a detailed plan on how you will repay the loan. Be prepared to present everything you’ll need for the cannabis business, including rental space, permits, licensing, supplies, employees, processing equipment, and marketing budget.

Thank you very much for making this video and getting into a concept that ive been struggling to find reliable/informative/ quality content on. Ill definitely be checking out the rest of your content from here in New York State where im very much considering starting a business model and taking a leap into the "mobile cannabis lounge and event services" business. Its very tempting to just hit the ground running with wishful thinking but my gut tells me ill run into some problematic regulations and legal issues that im honestly not prepared for currently, so these vids are extremely helpful considering that California has been a leader in the legal cannabis industry but NY has been slow to get where other states now are on this profitable market. Ide really like to learn as much as a can before investing my own capital in a business in which i dont have personal experience in but can very much see myself doing well in as someone who has already managed to build a network of supporting cannabis related business owners, local dispensary owners and those in the entertainment/event service businesses. Any chance you would be up to having a brief convo on the necessary considerations one should make (or not to worry to much about as the industry quickly develops) that could potentially benefit someone like myself avoid the unforseen issues and provide some "off the record " advice by any chance? Either way i appreciate your time and efforts to create such useful content for us all to use to our benefit. Thanks once again!

What your talking about is something far beyond the scope of what I have in mind. I would like to know your thoughts on someone (like myself) starting a smaller, " boutique", type business, growing on a much smaller scale than the big 10,000 acre farms. Kind of in the same vein as micro brewery’s. I’m a firm believer that if you provide a superior product, their will be a market for it. And I’ve been growing since 1977, so I can provide a higher quality product. I’ve been doing this on the black market for a long time now, so I fully understand the money that can be made. But I’m older now, and I’m not interested in growing a 1000 plants a grow. I envision hitting anywhere from 30 to 50 lbs. Every 9 to 10 weeks. In your opinion, in the current environment, do you think this is doable? I live in Arizona, but I’m not opposed to setting up in New Mexico, since that’s where I’m from.
Would you be able to help me out? I would like to raise funds to start a cannabis business.
That’s what’s poppin πΎπ₯πΏ
How much cannabis did you smoke prior to making this video???
