all legal tax paying citizens should be able to legally grow their own trees

As the government moves forward with the take over of criminal activities for their own profit through taxes – 25% tax on marijuana sales – Hello!

  5. @anthonydellaselva9137 on May 24, 2024 at 3:04 pm

Same as every other industry in this pathetic excuse for a country. Give all the profit to monopolistic pharma companies and take it away from small farmers.

  6. @Cr1t1calMystic on May 24, 2024 at 3:06 pm

Ah yes give money to other countries takes seconds of deciding apparently and happens instantly, bit anything that could possibly benifit our socieety and economy? Naw why would we do that?

I always thought that people who are stoned, are too lazy to pursue more dangerous drugs. That is a weak argument, but it deserved consideration. ( I grew up in the 70’s. everyone was stoned. )

Re-scheduling to class III is simply turning over cannabis to big pharma which many politicians are heavily vested in financially. Schedule III drugs include pain killers such as opiates, synthetic opiates, barbiturates, ketamine, etc. This only eases restrictions for the pharmaceutical cabal to research, patent, and completely control cannabis industry while enriching themselves and their investors and buying votes from uninformed voters.
Big pharma is seeing losses in states where Cannabis is available medically as persons such as myself have discovered that cannabis is far more effective medically and cost wise in dealing with conditions for terminal illnesses with way less if any side effects when used properly and responsibly. I believe as well once Cannabis is rescheduled to a schedule III classification the attacks on medical cannabis by the government will begin just as the ATF is attacking 2nd amendment rights of private citizens and businesses.

  11. @fredcraven1699 on May 24, 2024 at 3:11 pm

Should be completely descheduled, safest plant on the earth no overdoses, Joe Biden lied completely

  12. @Sentient_Atoms on May 24, 2024 at 3:13 pm

LSD is schedule 1 because enlightenment is a threat to US hegemony.

  13. @chrishynes6091 on May 24, 2024 at 3:14 pm

But will employers quit screening for it? Not talking about CDL or pilots… just average joe jobs. If they don’t then they better screen for every drug listed as schedule III

  14. @joeblow1942 on May 24, 2024 at 3:14 pm

    80% tax?! That’s insane!

  15. @user-fp8hq3bx1b on May 24, 2024 at 3:17 pm

This will ALL be about lining the pockets of the giant corporations. It’s solely a move to benefit the rich and take away the economic benefits of the smaller players in the industry. The lobbyists have done their part and funded the right people in congress.

  16. @chrisk.4968 on May 24, 2024 at 3:17 pm

It means I will not be voting for Biden. He is doing this for votes. It means that they will make weed into a pill and give big Pharma more
Power. It’s believed that insurance will not cover such substances.

  17. @Randylayhe001 on May 24, 2024 at 3:18 pm

It was outlawed in 1937, it was made schedule 1 in 1970.

  19. @markrobertson481 on May 24, 2024 at 3:22 pm

The Mexican Cartels will put our DEA in the ground. That’s why they wont do anything..

  20. @user-st4kr3ir3f on May 24, 2024 at 3:22 pm

Marijuana has been outlawed for 54 years, why change the precedent now? The same logic used by the abortion people when abortion wasn’t overturned but sent to be state run after only 50 years.

  21. @helmuttdvm on May 24, 2024 at 3:24 pm

I assume that a doctor’s prescription would be required if it is reclassified as Schedule 3. Legalization would simplify the business and taxation of marijuana.

  22. @itsmesecksey on May 24, 2024 at 3:25 pm

I like how you guys imply that marijuana and cannabis are two separate things by giving them separate names but they are the same

  26. @Vandavis10 on May 24, 2024 at 3:28 pm

Government ruing people lives since established. A bad example of righteousness. Someone got rich off imprisoning pot smokers and dealers.

  27. @robertkeller5930 on May 24, 2024 at 3:29 pm

Are they rescheduling it in our time or geological time?

  28. @GreyMarano on May 24, 2024 at 3:30 pm

If they don’t open up the banking laws and make it federal it’s still a mess. Yet we want the states to control their own rules!

  29. @Ttran778 on May 24, 2024 at 3:31 pm

Drug testing ruins the job market.
An employer should have exactly *ZERO* say in what I choose to consume in my off-duty hours.
Alcohol actually KILLS people, yet we can get it literally anywhere and everywhere.

  32. @user-td1fi6vu2t on May 24, 2024 at 3:31 pm

Marijuana should not be legal until they have the equivalent of a breathalyzer test for drivers. The medical benefits are not the kind that get you stoned. Follow the money, who is getting rich off this scam. All controlled drugs should be controlled and not handed out by distributors like candy to make millions.

  33. @chrisblaisdell6255 on May 24, 2024 at 3:34 pm

It will never be fully legal as long as big corporations are alowed to pay big money to lobby against it. Fully legalization would kill many different industries, its why they paid to get it banned in the first place.

  34. @Shane-bx8ws on May 24, 2024 at 3:34 pm

Oh yay. It’s designed to help businesses instead of the consumer. Just legalize it like alcohol and tobacco.

  35. @shanejoseph4298 on May 24, 2024 at 3:35 pm

Cannabis is not dangerous . CANNABIS IS A WEED . NOT A DRUG BUT A WEED THAT TEMPERS CALMS SOITHES

  40. @joshwebb1493 on May 24, 2024 at 3:44 pm

What does it mean? It means the banks will be flooded with cash because it’s federal crime if you have that money in a bank. It is going to boost our economy by having the cash in the bank rather than in their vault. Watch your interest rate drop.

  41. @bassw1758 on May 24, 2024 at 3:46 pm

Yeah, they will legalize it, but still going to discriminate in the work place.

  42. @dpharr100 on May 24, 2024 at 3:50 pm

  49. @Siskos-pn7nd on May 24, 2024 at 3:54 pm

A great move, decades overdue. The GOP would never do this since they prefer prison for those who who use.

  50. @blinkymonroe496 on May 24, 2024 at 3:56 pm

It needs to be 100% legalized and taken off the controlled substance list altogether this isn’t enough
