This one time.
I got off work, went to bed.
5 days later.
I woke from a coma, tied to a hospital bed.
I had hoses in all the wrong places.
With no idea how I got there.
Shortly after that.
I got to meet my new neurologist.
First thing he asked me was.
How long I had been smoking cannabis for, and how often?
To which I replied.
Daily since I was 16.
I was 41 at the time.
He then said.
I had to biggest brain tumor he had ever seen in patient that was still alive.
&
That given the size,
it had to of starting growing when I was a child.
And the only reason I was still alive, and it didn’t kill me 10 years prior.
Was because of cannabis.
He said the medical field actually doesn’t know much about the medical properties of cannabis.
But the one thing they did know was.
Is that, it cuts the rate of cancer growth by at least half.
He then went on to tell me that.
Without the cannabis the Tumor would have presented much sooner.
Before they actually had the technology to treat it.
The cannabis kept the cancer at bay until such time the treatment had been discovered.
"So lucky"
Also cannabis must be subscribed to people undergoing chemotherapy.
I had it for a year.
Without cannabis.
I would get sick every 20 minutes.
Then feel so bad I couldn’t sleep, or eat.
With cannabis.
I could eat, sleep, and never got sick.
It helps your body fight the poison.
Chemo is poison.
In the end.
It’s kinda like a cage match.
You, and the cancer verses the poison.
Who doesn’t die, wins.
I won ๐ธ
3:00 Those first two strains are definitely popular but the second two might be more obscure. Still, Iโm impressed lol
I love weed i dont smoke it anymore because it made me paranoid but it should be legal everywhere
Is there any subject that this woman does not think her opinion of is important? She should stick to physics.
weed out the males, regardless of their chosen pronouns,.. hilarious!
Sugar is a gateway drug. Eric Claptonโฆ
I find this so fascinating. Canabinoid receptors in the brain, lactose tolerance in adult humans. If evolution does something for a species, it’s for a reason. Even sea urchins have thc receptors in their nervous system. How do they find it in the ocean ? Well they produce it themselves . ๐
Different strains of maryJ have different properties , some may stimulate psycosis, and others will create the opposite, they will dampen it. All smokable maryJ has psychosis inducing chemicals and anti-psychotic chemicals, the balance of these chemicals varies in each strain.
if it wasn’t for weed I’d have used something dangerous
While many call weed "dope" , I think "dope" is her0in.
When looking at hospitalizations one should consider:
1. Legal status which may keep indivuduals from treatment due to the risk of legal consequences if illegal. So seeing an increase may be caused by potencency but not neccessarily exclusively.
2. Potency, yes an increase has consequences BUT there have been assumptions about chrmicals or other more addictive drugs mixed in to Cannabis these past years.
Let’s also not forget that cannabis is more often than not consumend as a joint or in a bong, meaning that the burnt fumes are inhaled which is even worse than regular smoking since no filters are used. So I would be really interested in thr health effects if vaporizers are used..
I had hoped for these factors to be illuminated more neutrally, but maybe it’s due to a lack of involvement from the author.
Autism and severe social anxiety made my young adult life hellish, until I was introduced to weed. I consider marijuana a proverbial godsend. It let me get through college while holding down a job, and took all of the fear out of social interaction. Nevermind that it also clears up my chronic, allergy related sinusitis. I’m watching this from Ohio, two days after the Department Of Cannabis here opened applications for recreational dispensaries. It’s unreal, coming from the smoking culture of the 80’s and 90โs.
I’m in the UK where it’s still very illegal but barely anyone cares. It’s a law that’s very openly ignored by most.
Wait, Germany is claiming to be the first country in the EU to legalize cannabis? You know a lot of us have been to Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, right? Does it not count because they made it legal before the EU formed or something?
Cannabis is a neuro insulator. Just look at all of the ancient rock and rollers who are still going and can actually hold a coherent conversation. Willie Nelson, Paul McCarthy, Keith Richard, still going. The list goes on and on.
I have never clicked on a video Iโve ever been more sure would NOT deliver on the promise of the title.
Male plants with she/her pronouns: WTF DUDE
One advantage of legal cannabis may increase respect for the police. One may be develop an increased respect if the police is not enforcing laws governing personal behavior rather true crimes. No anyone benefits when you give the police an impossible job.
The chosen pronouns thing was a little problematic for me.
Gateway to a good time!!
Anybody high?
I am.
Latvia.
Less than 1 gram, 15 days in jail.
More than 1 gram, 15 years in prison.
Excellent summary. Thank you.
Cannabis unlike alcohol and even some medication, doesn’t affect you the next day.
Like with hangovers and side affects…
Cannabis doesn’t have a long lasting intoxicating affects…
They legalized it in MN and I’m loving it.
There are over 100 cannabinoids in cannabis.
I want to try to for the medical benefits, so a low thc version but even if itโs now legal to get it in Germany it feels extremely difficult to get into it with those social clubs and all that..
i follow the concerns regarding delta-8 THC as regards: "contamination due to methods of manufacturing that may in some cases be used to produce marketed delta-8 THC products." Figure on someone cheaping out on pure chemical grade reagents, etc. +additions … [btw: anyone remember paraquat?]]
Also, the legal shops list _terpenes_, i.e. Linalool <<perhaps oldest sleep aid used

Marijuana is not associated with alcohol…one will absolutely knock you out , and has a lethal dose…Marijuana is not that one.
Why did you not mention the 2 most importand reasons for leglization?
Thas it substansially incread gang violence and cash flow into the underworld if illegal and that alcohol is a much worse drug in every single way.
sad story man, made me tear up. i have had asthma since 2022 and just recently i had a asthma attack that sent me to the hospital. i went home against the doctors advice because i didnt want to do bloodwork. i got my prescription for Albuterol 90mcg and my antibiotics for my sinus infection. the Albuterol wasn’t making the wheezing go away, so i bought a 1000 mg full thc tincture and the wheezing has stopped. and my spo is back to being consistently above 92% while asleep.
In Germany, only 3 plants are allowed in the cannabis law, the gender does not matter. Seeds and cuttings are valued differently. I haven’t read all 7000 comments, if this someone has already remarked, just read it over.
I have smoked marijuana for years, I don’t feel addicted , there were times I had quit cold turkey because some jobs I was working. I don’t think the THC content is higher load of bs , use to smoke before joining the army in 2005 went on a deployment came back got out in 2011 tried it again at a dispensary in Colorado I was like it was garbage felt like I was ripped off for some compare the song that I have smoked back in the day in the late 90s , I don’t think you can accidentally OD believe me I tried, eating edibles then smoking a blunt to the face. Then the increase visit to the hospital it’s because they couldn’t handle their shit and maybe laced with stuff that’s not good like spice , bath salts, or even embalming fluid. I’ve done other drugs too but just stuck with Mary Jane. I have a harder time with cigarettes than weed.
As a young man, marijuana was fun and actually made things, many things, more interesting as it made them more difficult. May sound funny to some but it was true for me. It also allowed me to so-called "reset" problem solving and approach issues from a different perspective. I am talking about electrical engineering problems in my career. Fast forward 50 years, now at 75 and the potency of marijuana sold in NM, it just blows me away. It does some of the things it used to do like make me think I have come up with some idea that is marvelous and I am a genius but it also confuses me terribly. It has been a couple of years since I have touched it and I doubt I will ever use it again. I don’t know exactly what it is but it sure seems to not be good for me at my advanced age. This may not be true for everyone but it is my experience. I was lucky and never got into any trouble because of pot but I have to say that it is very sad that so many lives and careers were ruined because of a joint of pot found on them by law enforcement. A terrible amount of damage has been done by the war-on-drugs as it has been carried out over the last five decades, ultimately in many states making it legal. I don’t actually agree that legal is the answer but locking up the youth is not the answer either.
The assertion THC affects motor function is untrue.
I wanna know did she try it XD๐
Figures Americans are weaker and run to Hospital
I knew this one was gonna have some good jokes… LOL…. Sabine can be just as funny as informative.
Trauma is the biggest gateway drug of all.
Marijuana makes my brain fuzzy so I do not take any
Sabine sooo hilarious…. :)) Joe Rogan vs. Sabine Hossfelder… LMAO
I’m 47 and have never been big on ghanja. But complete desperation led me too it. Almost 3 decades of chronic back pain, and a number of sucide attempts forced me to consider something else. Now I sleep, have little to zero pain, am happy, calm, not stressed, a better parent and most importantly don;t think about killing myself. So yeah it’s addicitive for me cause it makes my life better…….a small price to pay
Dosage!? Delivery method, biological veritably, individual personal preferences in amount and rate of consumption, all that! Virtually impossible to calculate. Well the way things stand currently.
Am
I love the splattering of humour in this article
Yeah but alcohol and cigarettes are legal and what damage do these do and the cost to society
Holy moly, why she can’t open her mouth while speaking?! ๐ฎ
Hmshe should give Cannabis a try to relax her jaw ๐๐
Spoken like someone who’s not what Jimmy Hendrix called…" experienced".
Cannabis gives me anxiety, which had the paradoxical effect in my teen years of allowing me to compartmentalize and cope with my own innate anxiety. The end result is that I permanently became a much less anxious person even after not using marijuana for decades.
Sabine, I think you can go ahead and try it if you haven’t and not worry too much. lol
I can say that because I’ve been using it for years and I feel like my brain is, uh my brain is, uh something, I can’t remember. What were we talking about?
