Germany passes law legalising recreational cannabis

Lawmakers in Germany have passed a law allowing the recreational use of cannabis.

Individuals above the age of 18 will be allowed to possess 25 grams in public.

They will be allowed to possess 50 grams in private homes.

The laws come into effect in April and will allow people to grow up to three cannabis plants at home.

Germany will become the ninth country to legalise the drug for recreational use.

Come on Australia! Make it legalise now

We have a good health minister called Karl Lauterbach, who is competent. He has finally taken this into his own hands after his party, together with the Greens, failed to do so 25 years ago. Since we had to wait so long for common sense that doesn’t criminalize people, he is now called "Karl the Liberator".

Yeah and we live in hope here in Australia unless you live in Canberra.

Look at the way these pirates in Australia exploit people’s addiction example tobacco

Cannabis needs to be just as legal and easy to obtain anywhere as alcohol currently is. In every single state. No exceptions. It’s so easy: As legal and easy to obtain/use as alcohol currently is. Why hold relatively benign, often healing cannabis to any sort of irrational, stricter double standard than perfectly legal alcohol?

Germany has made a massive change with cannabis Laws starting from April, people over 18 can carry with them 25 grams of cannabis in public at any time.
25 grams of cannabis would last me about a month it’s like there living on a different Planet.

Who cares if they legalise it in Australia, lets face it, it couldn’t make Australian’s any dumber.

One little detail about Canberra where cannabis is legal, it’s still illegal to drive with cannabis in your system. Expect the same in any state of Australia if it becomes legal.

This has been long overdue, and Eurooan countries need to legalise marijuana sooner rather than later

  16. @hammyhamhamster5993 on June 28, 2024 at 6:37 pm

Legalize cannabis federally in each and every single state. This way, irrational politicians can’t obstruct and prevent legalization against the will of the vast majority of Americans whom support full federal cannabis legalization nationwide. Treat cannabis exactly like we treat far more dangerous and deadly yet completely legal alcohol. Legal in all states.

Keep it illegal in Australia. Here in Canada we get lots of Aussies visiting to smoke. Great for the economy. πŸ˜ŽβœŒοΈπŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

just saw the other day about a country which legalized it a couple of years ago .The rise in mental health illnesses such as schizophrenia ,psychosis and delusional behavior jumped massively. Governments have gone on a world wide anti tobacco/smoking/vaping campaign and yet smoking dope is harmless and does nothing to the lungs or does not increase cancer risks ? It is illegal in Australia to grow tobacco even for your own use because of what the government claims are serious health risks .Why would any responsible government knowing the health risks allow this ? If they allow it here expect younger people to take it up en mass and a tsunami of adverse health effects to show up a generation later

Heavy machinery operators running down the road have a 0 tolerence for weed. Ask yourselves who will deliver all your food, packages, and building materials. I can’t believe how ignorant how the mass population is. Nobody will pass the test and they will all cry because nothing will get done because nobody can pass the piss test.

  27. @MindsetMasteryEvolution on June 28, 2024 at 6:50 pm

Its funny that i never buy legal alcohol and it makes me feel like shit and poisons me, but i buy illagal weed and it fixes all my problems and make me feel good about my life. Shame on the people that are against it.

  28. @themk4982 on June 28, 2024 at 6:51 pm

Fantastic to hear. It can’t be understated how many lives will be saved by taking the trade out of the hands of criminal gangs and stopping tyrannical policing of people over a drug far less damaging than alcohol.

  30. @Elvin_Prestley on June 28, 2024 at 6:54 pm

Legalise pot in Australia? You know how they’ll work that kind of a scam in a country like this one, don’t you? It’ll be mass produced by Big Pharma, only sold at chemists and taxed at 2,000% like tobacco, at $50 per gram or $1,000 per ounce … and death penalty to anyone who tries to grow their own for tax evasion. That’s how they’ll work it in a country like this. It’s for your own good, y’know?

  31. @H-jb4tf on June 28, 2024 at 6:55 pm

Yep. Fill a country with doped up minds let alone fake refugees. Whay a f..k up!

  32. @divingduck9 on June 28, 2024 at 6:56 pm

so ppl wont hafta drive over to holland anymore, guess that’ll help w/ their energy shortage. everyplace that ends weed prohibition though winds up w/ way lower sales of alcohol & bigpharmas trashpills, so lookout for huge lobbying efforts by toxic industries to get legislators to come up w/ fresh reasons they can continue to lock ppl up, in the cheap labor prison-industrial complex the globalists r intent on maintaining. prison planet or flower power, let the ppl seize the hour

  39. @supremeconsciousness1769 on June 28, 2024 at 7:06 pm

Its good because the persecution ends for harmless smokers. But dealers wont disappear without shops. You can only grow 3 plants and possess 50g for yourself. You cant buy anywhere. So who is going to deliver for that need? Even if the customers are only tourists…black market will be still available
