UK Medical Weed Growing Laws Need To Change

Since medical cannabis has been legalised in the UK from 2018, surely the UK have changed the approach to what happened to me 10 years ago right? Let’s find out.

Ignore the random audio that then stops, editing malfunction meant I could not get rid of it!

Making this video made me angry at what I read.
How long will it be until this ARCHAIC VIEW is changed???

Cannabis laws have caused me so much trouble in my life itโ€™s unbelievable. Cannabis consumers are VICTIMS of these corrupt laws cannabis has much less side effects compared to pharmaceutical drugs ๐Ÿคฎ some pharmaceutical should not be legal for the side effects they cause ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธโ˜น๏ธ

Legal weed = paying to be able to actually smoke/eat weed and then paying for the weed as well in the knowledge its legal, but no one seems to know that your particular weed is legal so you still get lots of attention from the police/security people/busy bodies and so on, so smoke it in your basement or still get hassle, so what’s the point ?
A lot of weed legal or not is grown under intensive conditions using [ very ] high nitrate feeds [ not organic ] which they do not flush properly or at all so the nitrates stay in the weed which will harm you whether you smoke or ingest, flushing takes time and money not to mention I have personally seen certain nitrates for sale which are banned in the UK/Europe for sale here in the UK.
IF Germany as of April 2024 can allow people to grow up to 4 plants legally why cant we in the UK, [ answer ] because are government see money first and licences as a cash cow.
The UK produces [ estimated ] 2022 over 1,000 tons per year and is the third largest producer of medicinal cannabis in the world and yet not a single bud is sold in the UK directly to any customer so quite possibly your [ legal ] weed is grown here in the [ UK ] shipped to Canada re packaged and sent straight back to the UK, so much for carbon reduction [ crazy ].
The only people who seem to be able to actually get a licence for growing weed are as follows multi millionaires with mates in the government particularly the home office who will allow them to export it only / at the moment, watch this space on that if you see what I mean. [ money / money / money ].
These days its not so much the growing of weed that seems to bother our government so much as the Waite for it, the [ money ] people may have made from it to the point all the cops seem bothered about is how much proceeds of crime they can pin on some one and has little to do with wright or wrong more about how much we can get off you. INFACT if say there are 2 dealers next door to each other one has got money the other one has none you can guess which one will definitely get busted and this is proven.
The only solution to good quality clean weed is to either grow it your self or be best mates with a grower as there’s far to much money involved and people being people [ greedy / greedy ] will all ways think of money first.
Also I do not care what B/S the so called seed suppliers tell you it is now virtually impossible to get true genetics as they have [ all ] been cross bred so when you buy a pack of say 5 seeds they all turn out differently as in leaf type height internodes and so on which makes things very complicated for a novice grower.
Basically the entire industry is over run with b/shetters and con men/women, every thing from seed sellers to smokers and its been this way for ever and I really can not see it changing any time soon.
IT is [ reasonably ] interesting to see how the UK market is slowly being completely F/up with [ greed] the same as America and Canada our biggest medical cannabis producing competitors but there domestic markets are legal and ours of coarse is not so all in all you could say from a money point of view our government are on it so to speak !!!
Well I’ve had me little rant there’s loads more I could drone on about but I’m not sure if any one can be arsed to read it so all the best to any one reading this and do try to get good clean medicine if you can. love and peace.

heres what chat gbt eventually came up with when i argued with it about their current framework.
Your argument underscores significant ethical and systemic concerns about the motivations behind cannabis regulations in the UK. Challenging these regulations based on the principles of justice and public health is a valid approach, though it remains complex within the current legal framework. Hereโ€™s how you can proceed if you believe the regulations are unjust and motivated by profit rather than public health:

    ### Legal and Ethical Considerations
    1. **Ethical Arguments**: Your position that the laws prioritize profit over patient health is a powerful ethical argument. However, itโ€™s important to frame these arguments within the legal context to make them effective in court or advocacy.

    ### Challenging the Legal Framework
    2. **Judicial Review**: Consider pursuing a judicial review to challenge the regulations on the grounds that they are not in the public interest and unfairly restrict patient access to necessary medicine. This process involves arguing that the regulations are irrational or violate fundamental rights.
    – **Evidence of Government Investment**: Present evidence that government officials have financial interests in the medical cannabis industry, which could suggest conflicts of interest and undermine the claim that the regulations are purely about safety.
    3. **Human Rights Arguments**: You can argue that prohibiting personal cultivation of medical cannabis violates your rights to health and personal autonomy under the Human Rights Act 1998.
    – **Article 8**: The right to respect for private and family life could be invoked, arguing that the prohibition interferes with your ability to manage your own health.
    – **Article 3**: Prohibition might be framed as inhuman or degrading treatment if it prevents access to effective medical treatment.

    ### Legal Defense Strategies
    4. **Medical Necessity**: While this defense is rarely successful, it can be part of a broader strategy. Argue that the prohibition on personal cultivation deprives you of the most effective treatment for your condition.
    5. **Mitigation**: If convicted, use the evidence of the superior quality and safety of your home-grown cannabis to seek a reduced sentence.

    ### Advocacy and Public Awareness
    6. **Raise Public Awareness**: Publicize your case and the broader issues through media, social media, and public speaking to garner public support and put pressure on policymakers.
    – **Documentary Evidence**: Share documented evidence of government investment in the medical cannabis industry and the ethical concerns youโ€™ve identified.
    7. **Engage with Advocacy Groups**: Work with medical cannabis advocacy groups to strengthen your case and broaden the impact. These groups can provide resources, legal support, and a platform for your voice.

    ### Practical Steps
    8. **Seek Legal Counsel**: Hire a solicitor with expertise in drug law, human rights law, and judicial review processes.
    9. **Gather Evidence**: Collect all relevant evidence, including medical records, documentation of your cultivation process, and any evidence of government investments in the cannabis industry.
    10. **Prepare for Court**: Be ready to present a well-documented case, including expert testimony on the benefits and safety of your home-grown cannabis.

    ### Possible Outcomes
    – **Legal Precedent**: While challenging, a successful case could set a legal precedent that might influence future policy changes.
    – **Policy Reform**: Even if the immediate legal outcome is not favorable, the process can contribute to the broader movement for cannabis law reform.

    ### Conclusion
Challenging the current cannabis laws on the grounds of public interest, human rights, and ethical considerations is a complex but potentially impactful approach. It requires robust legal representation, strong evidence, and active engagement with advocacy efforts. By combining legal strategies with public awareness campaigns, you can contribute to the ongoing debate and push for more patient-centric cannabis regulations.

I’m curious can you use your cannabis prescription while in custody/prison ??

  16. @PoshMurder on August 3, 2024 at 7:52 pm

Meanwhile my old neighbour, from when I lived in America, is getting ready for his next outdoor grow. Just having a bunch of plants in his garden willy nilly, no issue..

What I don’t get is the American government is the one who forced the rest of the world to make cannabis illegal, threatening to cut off trade with countries if they didn’t comply, and now they’re the ones legalising left-right-centre whilst it’s still illegal here.

Governments need to just admit they got prohibition wrong. Was fine for the boozers when Al Capone got a bit powerful, but now there’s millions of Capone wannabes created by cannabis prohibition and they just keep burying their heads in the sand? Ridiculous egos in Parliament. Just ridiculous.

Armed police once searched my house and one of the detectives complimented me on the grow room and walked out… It’s a bit messy growing and difficult to achieve the same results as some current medical cannabis plus curing involves lots of air and being illegal, unless you know the entire neighborhood, it will smell. It’s just impossible to get factory grown bud without buying it and imho it’s not worth it when you can buy it.

II doubt they will alllow grows. Maybe they will allow shops but not personal grows. I wish they would allow for medical grows at home eg a grow kit with a set amount of seeds and rules on howmany plants and when to cull if over the amount of harvestable. So grow eg 10 plants and 2/3 of which are a buffer to pick and choose the best buds and cull the rest or destroy the overgrown material. Go by weights of a strain something… I am on tramadol atm and i was also using codeine at the same time for years max dose on both, they cut my codeine and left me dry i suffered… its a broken system lots get left to suffer and pick up their own problems and solve it. Thankful for the new laws but i can’t stomach much thc myself and wish they would allow us to grow so i can find something that works for me that i can afford. most plants on the med scene are too high thc and the oils are more expensive for less thc? its ludicrous

I don’t want to shock anybody, but some cops are just shitehawks. Doing somebody for a bit of weed, or growing a few plants, makes it look like they’re doing something. Rugby tackling some 20yr old stoner was prob that cop’s big moment. If it was some guy in his 30s or 40s who looked like he could handle himself and may actually be dangerous. I don’t think he’d be as keen to leap into action.

Why did they even need to handcuff him? That is the stage when people rightly say "hold on a second, I’m fine with coming with you, you don’t need to do that". Then the police will insist, and things go south very quickly.

Dude was in his own home having J say. How is he a danger, esp if he’s willing to go down to the local nick and get things sorted out? There’s zero need to cuff them, it will almost always end badly. You can bet they went in heavy-handed with a few hand-picked meat heads. Who most likely are on illegal roids themselves, and itching to pick a fight.

A big part of why police will try and cuff you for nothing is because most civil people won’t be up for that, or see the need for themselves to be cuffed over something so minor. They can then add a resisting arrest charge, to their sketchy arrest sheet. And god help you if you put a hand up to defend your self and touch a cop in any way shape or form. Because you’re now getting an assault charge as well.

Same way if a joyrider were to hit me or you in the street it’s a hit-and-run charge. Do that to the old bill and it’s attempted murder.

It spins my brain the fact i can go and buy a home brewery kit and make my own alcohol which can kill me but i cant grow a plant that wont kill me. England is stuck in the past when it comes to weed i always find it funny how all these countries where its legal they do studies on the plant and have evidence to back it up but then the uk will totally diragard any of this evidence. I told my doctor i smoked weed because she asked if i drank or smoke when i told her i smoked weed the first thing she said was your not smoking skunk are you? i was like what the strain and she replied yes and told me skunk can give you schizophrenia. I asked is cheese the strain okay to smoke still as its a decendent from skunk family she said that should be alright just not skunk ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€

I was doing it literally about 20 metres from a police station for a couple of years without incident. I’d love it to be made legal as I totally love the process, it’s a personal hyperfocus!!!

Fact! If we are allowed to buy it for our medical reasons, we should be allowed to grow it.
