“Florida’s medical marijuana law, signed and endorsed by DeSantis in 2019, has near identical language alleging that medicinal use and "actions and conduct" by a medical facility are not subject to sanctions or legal liabilities.” – Gruters

Allowing recreational weed would be a huge failure. Why do people want to smoke weed so bad? I can’t stand pot smoke. This law would prevent any kind of limits to pot. I have a neighbor that smoke all day on his back porch and it stinks up my backyard. I’ll be damned if I have to deal with that everywhere I go.

  3. @deusvolt5688 on October 25, 2024 at 9:26 pm

Ok, so now i feel bad about voting for it. But I’m also pissed that he didn’t do the obvious sooner. Write a law that prohibits the commercial sale, but legalizes the sale of seeds and allows home growing.

  4. @stunnamrsports on October 25, 2024 at 9:27 pm

Desantis is a LIAR. He’s only AGAINST it because he didnt get any MONEY from the company. And that line about ppl being INCARCERATED due to weed is a SLAP in the face of any intelligent person. Its more LOWER offenders in jail in FLORIDA than it is for serious crimes.

  5. @Ethicalhate on October 25, 2024 at 9:30 pm

Get some balls Desantis and legalize it for law abiding adults to consume recreationally. Stop listening to Casey for once.

  6. @Rico-yt1tw on October 25, 2024 at 9:30 pm

Of course DeSantis along with his political friends and law enforcement (private prisons) want this to be illegal because they will all be losing money for not being able to arrest people for simple possession lol

  7. @zollof6699 on October 25, 2024 at 9:31 pm

Oops, already voted yes on it.

  8. @madmax711g on October 25, 2024 at 9:33 pm

Governor thats just hypocritical, if i dont like the smell of cigarettes, yet i still have to live with. Just because i dont like dont mean i want those who do to suffer & go to jail. Just free the weed & leave regular humans alone. Its your police & other units that need to do a better job at finding real criminals.
    Man.
If you simply apply the same restrictions that you do with cigarette then you would be fine.
But if i have to tolerate cigarette smoke yet i cant smoke my weed. Then thats just hypcorites.
I dont need to have a medical condition to smoke weed either.
You people dont care about peoples health , if you people did then you would wage a war on cigarettes as well including alcohol.
    Thats all im saying
    We need.
Hypocrites just because of tourist i have to jail.
You guys use the word free so often its starting to lose it meaning.

  9. @NoteAble-Memes on October 25, 2024 at 9:33 pm

I was gonna vote for it too, I don’t even smoke; but I used to & know people that do and seem to function normally (unlike me) but hopefully everyone sees this video and it doesn’t pass.

  10. @billycombs6217 on October 25, 2024 at 9:33 pm

Why isn’t the Gov jumping out of his seat to remind then that in order to have Medical Weed, that they’ll need to cough up money every 7 months for a doctor to stay legal. Plus $75 a year to the state for the license.

  11. @gortega1124 on October 25, 2024 at 9:35 pm

All this marijuana BS is all about the money and it’s making America stupid look at these teenagers bunch of zombies because they keep smoking that junk. It’s like the government want to put people asleep.

  12. @SimpleMovers-x8u on October 25, 2024 at 9:35 pm

Why’s is he lying they don’t have any say if we can grow at home or not it’s up to the lawmakers

  13. @neilclark3243 on October 25, 2024 at 9:36 pm

Instead of explaining how one co wants to eff Florida how about you get off your ass and force the amendment to benefit florida. And no one is in jail for weed is absolute bull ish. Tell the truth

  14. @st.filumenachurch893 on October 25, 2024 at 9:36 pm

Ron DeSantis is a great governor, he cares about the State of FL, about families, about health, etc. This man understands corporate greed and wants everyone to understand the consequences and the true reach of this very bad amendment.

  15. @FrancoPliskin on October 25, 2024 at 9:37 pm

If he is concerned he should implement a process for the state to assign lisence a to sell as well as enable personal cultivation he acts like he’s powerless . He’s full of shit

  16. @Jamesrick67854 on October 25, 2024 at 9:37 pm

    2028 President 🇺🇸

  17. @JeseSLU on October 25, 2024 at 9:38 pm

Tourists will flock here for weed

  18. @zakkmon123 on October 25, 2024 at 9:44 pm

WHAT IS LEGAL IS NOT LAWFUL AND WHAT IS LAWFUL IS NOT LEGAL, OVERSTAND THE DIFFERENCE. ✌🏻☀️ Governor Desantis, paid by the BUSH CARTEL … it is a contract with the corporation of FLORIDA.

  19. @markksantos on October 25, 2024 at 9:44 pm

land of the free! desantis just needs to pass an exec order

  20. @jesusagonzales9485 on October 25, 2024 at 9:44 pm

This sounds like something that a Marxist would try to do with our laws. Thank you Gov DeSantis for watching out for the people.

  21. @Brentino2222 on October 25, 2024 at 9:45 pm

    No on 3

  22. @robbrush-c5j on October 25, 2024 at 9:45 pm

Florida governor is not doing anyone a favor by not being neutral on this amendment and let the florida residence decide . He is exaggerating a lot of his arguments. The taxes on these MJ companies are ridiculous. Tax it like alcohol and the black market laced Fentanyl MJ will go away . One of the MJ companies won a battle against this spoiled entitled governor and now he’s trying to hurt the industry that helps so many people get through anxiety, not being able to sleep or pain . Could he be getting his pockets lined by the big pharmacy companies?? I wonder ?

  23. @christopherkramer7223 on October 25, 2024 at 9:47 pm

Wish he was the governor in Maryland

  24. @adammurtha3688 on October 25, 2024 at 9:47 pm

This is BS and DeSantis knows it. The Florida supreme court literally vets these amendment proposals (you can watch here on youtube if you’d like to watch this specific amendment hearing); precisely for ‘gotcha’ and ‘trying to trick the public’. If they were trying to TRICK you into voting yes; Then it wouldn’t even have passed the (VERY CONSERVATIVE) Supreme Court approval/sniff test. ALSO wouldnt have passed if they mentioned Home-grow; Florida is a SINGLE SUBJECT state — any rule making, weather it be home grow, or smoking in public will be made at the legislature level; IF/AFTER it passes into law by voting #YesOn3. Also it got on the ballot because over a million people signed a petition to put it on the ballot.

  25. @carloscorrea9491 on October 25, 2024 at 9:49 pm

    NO marijuana!!!!!!!!!

  26. @bdavidson146 on October 25, 2024 at 9:51 pm

If he spoke like this when running for President he would have gotten more people behind him.

  27. @Terri_Bearsfan1985 on October 25, 2024 at 9:53 pm

I voted no on all of the amendments leave our constitution alone you need a constitutional right to hunt and fish give me a break.

  28. @mdrnhippy4763 on October 25, 2024 at 9:54 pm

  33. @luciana9135 on October 25, 2024 at 9:58 pm

This is an excellent way of communication. They are clear and informative of what citizens need to know about an amendment. I personal studied the amendment. I’m with Gov Ron DeSantis and the doctor – Thank you for this information.

  34. @thepresident5835 on October 25, 2024 at 9:59 pm

    All bullshit

  35. @shayneyos52 on October 25, 2024 at 9:59 pm

Don’t vote for this , don’t vote for this because of this and that but let’s not propose homegrown, let’s not propose any single alternative, let’s just keep telling people to vote no on every single proposed ballot to legalize marijuana without doing anything, this is exactly what happens when they try to fight off a problem that isn’t ever going away, I voted yes and I hope this passes

  36. @DancehallUniverse on October 25, 2024 at 9:59 pm

I hate pork smell.. let’s ban that too..

  41. @littilwood on October 25, 2024 at 10:10 pm

DeSantis seems to really hate the prospect of the people deciding these issues instead of corporate lobbyists and religious zealots. I guess it’s nice to see him taking a break from using the power of his office to violate people’s constitutionally-protected freedoms by threatening to jail them for promoting the abortion referendum he also opposes. This amendment will likely pass, and DeSantis will spend his time further abusing the power of his office to try and bastardize its implementation in direct violation of what the amendment allows for, or attempt to illegally modify it.

  42. @KP-ne1cg on October 25, 2024 at 10:11 pm

Law enforcement wants to keep the $ flow they make off of it being illegal. Has nothing to with your safety and well being. It needs to pass !!

  43. @mccooldude3 on October 25, 2024 at 10:15 pm

Ron this is just like alcohol probation and know we have alcoholics.

  44. @corkiefries9149 on October 25, 2024 at 10:17 pm

What’s the name of the one company? Here in Oregon I watched from the ground floor going from medical only to 21 plus all the smaller dispensaries were pushed out now mostly nectar and chalice farms take over most of the Portland area. I remember when you could also medicate inside the dispensaries when it was medical only. I miss those days. Yet they allow to have four or five bars on the same city block. 😡

  45. @bassingaround3233 on October 25, 2024 at 10:18 pm

If you wanted florida farms being take over by drug cartel like in California and Colorado vote yes

  46. @seankearley4545 on October 25, 2024 at 10:18 pm

Did we not vote for his marijuana amendment and he is just upset or did he never care or try and now upset he refused to listen to the people and now someone else took the mantle cause he sucks. Sound more like the latter to me

  47. @jeffsilsbe on October 25, 2024 at 10:19 pm

    Vote no!

  48. @dimensions20 on October 25, 2024 at 10:19 pm

So glad I watched this video. I had intended on voting yes on amendment 3 but this info has changed my mind. Thank you, Governor DeSantis!

  49. @laperez7946 on October 25, 2024 at 10:19 pm

The will of the voters, should be respected. Never seen such an attack. He got something against Nikki Fried. Honor and respect your constituents. Ronnie is spending Florida’s money to go against the grain.

  50. @quinnbass5964 on October 25, 2024 at 10:20 pm

Let people grow it. Crack down on illegal distribution. People growing their own will eliminate pesticides and it would probably have people smoking a less potent more natural weed.
