#marijuana #michigan #stores
Maybe less people are idiotsπ
my prediction! Phillip Morris will MONOPOLIZE the marijuana industry and raise prices. then add even more chemicals so you DUMMYS will get more dumber. if that’s even possible.
Corporate weed is garbage.
what there not tell you is the city see a good thing and open up their own shops and bussness lose customers to them citys , … why drive 5 miles went it right down the block , you see , and theres a little pot of gold for everyone
So news reporters are okay being obese and ugly?
I travel to Michigan for my Cannabis because it is WAY cheaper in Michigan than anywhere else. I am sad to see them close. I wish more people would support legal weed. Can’t dispensaries create other programs to raise more money? I hate to see this happen.
Thereβs multiple stores opening in New Buffalo, MI. Some close, others open. Itβs normal for any business.
For the same reason there are only so many gas stations in town….?? Yep…same here in Southern Oregon. Many weed shops are "up in smoke"
Supply and demand. The same thing happened to big box Home Improvement stores 40 years ago. There is only so much of anything that can survive and be profitable.
They are also selling a product that can be home-grown. Imagine if grocery stores started charging high prices for tomatoes and green beans and the government added a 10% tax on them
The states destroyed it with taxes and permits!!!!!! People grow it on their own now, no need to pay a trillon dollars for weed!!!!!!!!!!!
If you can’t make money selling weed you just might be an idiot!
That is by and large because Ohio doesn’t have to go to Mich. for weed anymore….Lower prices it will draw them back.
People who support drugs are literally high. Do something with your life that is positive. Being dependent on drugs is not it.
Itβs pretty obvious that they opened too many marijuana stores. Thereβs more marijuana stores than gas stations, liquor stores and even food stores. The market was too saturated. It was totally unfair to the new businesses.
Cant compete with the illegal π¨π³ operations.
First, I do not partake and don’t care what people do on their own time. There are no less than 8 cannabis shops in Sturgis MI. The city is making a killing. One is always closing and another opening. As it becomes more and more common and more regulated (think tobacco and alcohol), the smaller shops will close. The biggest impact long-term will be changes in federal regulations. It’s just a matter of time.
It be the most junkiest cars that be getting hella loud
No ones going to pay for over priced weed when you can get better on the street
22% Tax is to blame.
The competition is way too heavy. Michigan even with the tax has some of the best prices but you gotta go to the right place. Usually the private own places are the best but thereβs just to many of them
Cmon people! You need to support these businesses. Get high now!
Greeeeeeeeed & OVER PRICING
bla blah blah the news is worthless baby talk. theae are all spots of future development
I’m in Genesee County and we are loaded with dispos here. The taxing, regulations and hassles are not worth it for many. The taxing of customers is at ludicrous levels. Some growers went back underground and only do small amounts to patients in need. There dont’ seem to be any true caregivers anymore.
Watch out that the state does not follow Calif., with high taxes the cannibis business winds up supplying a gray market economy. I.e. people growing their own.
You closed because your prices were too high. The end.
Here is one huge problem… Depending on the state, you must maintain a license to dispense that must be renewed annually or every two years. The cost of this alone cost up to $550,000 per renewal and then you have operating expenses. This is why we are dependent on foreign imports of goods people. Trying to start a business in The US is one of the most difficult things to do in a life time. By the end of the month and every tax season, you are left with not even a fraction of what you made and I guarantee you that most owners of dispensaries that closed will mention the cost of the license to operate.
So it’s working out so well for America. Open your eyes. You shouldn’t have needed the govt to tell you not to expand this illegal drug.
"A budding industry!"
I see what you did there.
Should never have legalized it. Another sign our country is in decline.
Grow your own. Piss on goverment tax. Tax is the reason thay allow it anyways.
oversaturation
Supply and demand. Prices are super low. Great for consumer harder for growers and store fronts to survive. Only the strong survive
Government stealing taxes…organized crime
The only reason the government ever made it legal. Was so they could make money off of it! Why do you think moonshine is and always will be illegal? Because the government doesn’t make a dime off of it!
Wow
Did the same thing with Hemp. Got the right to grow it because of CBD rage but never told anybody what else they could make with it and then the market got flooded.
BS. STONNERS only go o these places and misguided teens
Recreational weed makes you stupid and lazy…that’s why it’s called "Dope"
This is what happens when the government regulates any business in excess.
it don’t matter, it served it’s purpose, it got whitmere elected in Michigan
"A budding industry". Good writing for the announcer.
Personally, In my area, the cost is outrageous. I use cannabis to deal with nerve damage to my right arm. I recently invested in my own grow system as the cost of cannabis is too high.
3.5 grams is 60.00 in my area.
We only have one dispensary, So they can take advantage of patients who need the relief.
Ainβt my fault
Oh Iβm so heart broke that the lowlifes and their habits are going bye-bye. What a farce
Businesses close for one and only one reason – clients stop buying the product or service.
Cannabis has thrived for thousands of years. It only goes bad when government gets involved. Then it turns into a clusterfuck!
There aren’t enough drugged out losers to support this stupidity.
Bullsh*t.
They are building them like crazy in the New Buffalo MI area. Brand new buildings on US12 near the IN state line. There are also at least 6 in Buchanan. Do your research.
