Exporting Canada's pot

CORRECTION:
We overstate the amount of dried cannabis that Health Canada has approved for export in this report. The agency has actually approved the sale of 528 kilograms to international markets for this fiscal year.

Canadian companies are cashing in on an unlikely business — international cannabis sales. Over the past year at least 24 countries have either legalized or begun the process of legalizing medical marijuana. And most are looking for a safe and legal supply. Enter Canada — with 84 licensed producers, lots of growth, and a group of aggressive leaders set to take on the world.
