It’s the same here in Illinois!! Absolutely ridiculous how they rip us off. Prices should be way affordable everywhere.

  8. @monmixer on March 17, 2025 at 7:18 am

The Ohio Republicans love to rip the the taxpayers off. Especially when petitioned bills that they hate pass in Ohio. My guess is they figure if we are stupid we will buy from them. I can buy good weed on the street in Ohio for 150 an ounce. It’s well over that in Ohio so where is the incentive to buy adult use Ohio labeled? No incentive

  9. @akekekec on March 17, 2025 at 7:19 am

When u go to Monroe you get the mids

  10. @JimMoney-v2z on March 17, 2025 at 7:21 am

Yeah, they are and for a market they can pretty much make its own prices and they’re pretty much everything else. Why don’t we just make horrible people make everything affordable for people

  11. @LungButterSeeds on March 17, 2025 at 7:22 am

As a Michigan cultivator, I wish our prices were higher. At $80-$100 an oz we make nothing after bills, nutrients, labor, etc. and with multi million dollar corporations growing 25-100k plants every few months….

  12. @jeffchaney6089 on March 17, 2025 at 7:22 am

I’ve been to Michigan probably 20 times in the last 3 years and if you live north of Findlay , it’s the only place to go. I’ve been to Nara as well as Jars ( my favorite ) and that owner is spot on. 8/10 bags of 200ml gummies for $25 plus tax ( around $30) compared to 1 bag of 100ml for $24 , carts in Michigan I saw recently 15 one gram for $55 , when Ohio is selling 1 one gram cart for $60/$70…it’s a no brainier. Michigan is allowed to advertise , there’s giveaway , vendor days , music , food trucks it’s a celebration , which it should be. Ohio still following the medical rules is absurd, but that’s our lame Deswine government for you…shhh don’t mention it. Reminds me of when you could buy fireworks in Ohio , but then have to sign a waiver that I’m leaving the state with them WTH. They want our tax dollars and nothing more. I’ll never ship in Ohio , I’m a consumer like everyone else and I enjoy the Michigan experience and respect I’m getting up north. If haven’t tried a Jeeter preroll , man you don’t know what your missing. How many people do you think are getting those deals and reselling in Ohio… hmmm 🤔 . Food for thought.🙏🇺🇲♥️

  14. @OracleOfThe13thGate on March 17, 2025 at 7:29 am

Cannabis should be absolutely just as legal and easy to obtain anywhere as alcohol currently is. No exceptions. It’s so easy: As legal and easy to obtain/use as alcohol currently is. Why hold relatively benign, often healing cannabis to any sort of irrational, stricter double standard than perfectly legal alcohol?

  23. @richardzacharias2197 on March 17, 2025 at 7:36 am

Went to Michigan yesterday 17 people from Ohio were there while I was all complaining about how horrible the prices are and the deals are in the house stores. I feel sad for the poor people who can’t make it out of town to get a real deal and simple Ohio stores suck.

  24. @hammyhamhamster5993 on March 17, 2025 at 7:38 am

States "rights" has become just a clever excuse, disguise and blanket authority being used for a very small minority of irrational prohibitionists to be able to criminalize everything that they personally don’t morally approve of. Same with abortion and even books that they don’t morally approve of, and they have the nerve to call it states "rights". The only "right" states rights provide is the right of a very small minority to criminalize anything they don’t morally approve of in their individual home states. It needs to end now! It’s like having 50 different countries with different laws instead of a "United" States. States rights=Criminalization of the citizens by a very small lunatic fringe minority of irrational prohibitionists whom have self righteously appointed themselves as self deputized morality police over everyone else.

  28. @stevenboddy4232 on March 17, 2025 at 7:42 am

Yes michigan is way cheaper. 1 gram cart is 6 dollars lmfao. Ill drive the 5 hours both ways. 300 dollars gets me 45 carts. Usually places have deals 15 for 100.

  29. @Eddie-r8h on March 17, 2025 at 7:42 am

Ohio bucks on anything they can tax to no end. There’s a MASSIVE difference in price! Nothing will change though. Ohio is content fueling the black market.

  30. @tommyrich4156 on March 17, 2025 at 7:44 am

    Ohio prices are absolutely ridiculous!

  31. @tylerfish6206 on March 17, 2025 at 7:44 am

  32. @PentaRaus on March 17, 2025 at 7:46 am

Tax man all but assured a thriving black market. Its still cheaper to drive to Michigan and waste time than it is to buy in ohio. We’re being ruled by idiots.

  43. @b1gdawwg on March 17, 2025 at 7:58 am

Comparing a brand new market to one that started 5 years ago is not wise. Of course the prices will be higher until dispensaries are everywhere like Michigan. Their prices started off extremely high around 2020, and now they’re much lower. This is bad journalism from WTOL.

  44. @juelz4516 on March 17, 2025 at 7:59 am

The sign says $89 to $175 for the most expensive Oz. Where he getting $250-$300 lol.

  45. @BudCoveLex on March 17, 2025 at 8:00 am

    Michigan is better

  46. @trxntroll843 on March 17, 2025 at 8:04 am

I go 8 hours round trip from MN to Michigan for the pricing and still will when MN finally gets its dispensaries going cuz you know MN gonna think it’s better than everyone else and be most expensive.

  47. @Memo420UK on March 17, 2025 at 8:05 am

    89 dollars an oz.

Dam. We need this in uk

  48. @hammyhamhamster5993 on March 17, 2025 at 8:11 am

Legalize cannabis federally now. What’s legal to possess and consume in over half of the populated areas of The United States should not make you a criminal in states still being governed by woefully ignorant prohibitionist politicians. Cannabis consumers in all states deserve and demand equal rights and protections under our laws that are currently afforded to the drinkers of far more harmful, dangerous and deadly, yet perfectly legal, widely accepted, endlessly advertised and even glorified as an All American pastime, alcohol. Plain and simple!

  49. @dylanbroski9362 on March 17, 2025 at 8:11 am

125 for a ounce in ohio

  50. @hammyhamhamster5993 on March 17, 2025 at 8:11 am

Prohibition and Reefer Madness are only pushed and believed by a very small, lunatic-fringe minority of irrational looney-tune Holier Than Thou types that are on a never ending little personal moral-crusade and witch-hunt against relatively benign cannabis and it’s consumers. The rest of us sane, rational, normal Americans just laugh our butts off at and mock utterly desperate lying prohibitionists and their ridiculous Reefer-Madness-Rhetoric as the comedy show they truly are!
