"Medicine Confiscated" Cannabis NOT Decriminalised Says Ex Drug Dealer

A poll of British police officers revealed that most believe that cannabis is effectively decriminalised in the UK.

Ian Collins brings writer and journalist Niko Vorobyov onto Talk for his expert opinion. According to Vorobyov, people around the UK are still very much being treated as criminals for using cannabis, including those who have a legal medical prescription.

Everyone calls it weed… Is not a weed

    It’s a beautiful flower

  2. @rebeccamondloch4265 on May 6, 2025 at 10:17 am

People don’t get aggressive on weed they chill out but thousands get hurt through alcohol

  3. @dan6p on May 6, 2025 at 10:19 am

    Legalization is the only way.

    2 things –

1st. Would you rather your daughter get stuck on a train with a load of drunk guys or stoned guys?

2nd. Think of the tax! With the current climate we need that.
It would also free up prison space and many more things.

    It’s a no brainier surely.
As an adult I can make in informed decision.
I’m allowed to get blind drunk and become addicted to alcohol and get rowdy, but yet, I’ll get locked up in a box for relaxing and smoking a joint.
I have possession of cannabis on my record. I’m flipping innocent! I’ve not hurt any one in the slightest.

I’m a medical cannabis patient, the amount of times I hear that the police still don’t realise it’s been legal since nov 2018 is staggering, the amount of patients like myself who have their prescription medication confiscated due to lack of knowledge of the law is again ridiculous, I’ve cut my pharmaceutical chemical tablets by 80% in two months and before anybody questions it I’m a veteran who in my time after the military has been left to rot by the government on stupidly high amounts of opioids I can’t remember 5 years of my life. medical cannabis is a game changer, end the stigma

  7. @BrutalSavageYT on May 6, 2025 at 10:23 am

its defo not basically decriminalized ive just done a stint at his majesty’s pleasure for cannabis 🤣🤣

  8. @SmokeyStoner on May 6, 2025 at 10:24 am

It’s not just the Police callouts that would benifit from legalisation. Just think about the A+E departments and ambulances at the weekend,. Even domestic violence might drop.

If the USA can, then we can.!!!!!

  10. @leerobinson9969 on May 6, 2025 at 10:28 am

Yes, it will create an industry overnight. Cannabis is less harmful than alcohol and far less addictive than tobacco.

  11. @TFO6969 on May 6, 2025 at 10:29 am

If alcohol was banned it would be a class A drug because its has bad has heroin

  12. @mickyovts3872 on May 6, 2025 at 10:29 am

It should be legalised, why is this country so behind on many things, but then claim to be a "global leader in change"…. its a joke

  13. @MrOharaj on May 6, 2025 at 10:29 am

It’s time for the government to re evaluate its stance on intruding on other people’s liberties – cannabis needs to be legalised, it needs to be taxed and it needs to be taken off criminals for the good and safety of all

  14. @scottdre5581 on May 6, 2025 at 10:30 am

Absolute joke uk . Free the weed ffs

It actually can be good for you our bodies have an endocanabinoid system clues in the name it’s like a match made in heave . Do.ur research before trying to have a debate about it . Although you were both quite positive regarding it with I agree with .

  17. @AnthonySharp-h2p on May 6, 2025 at 10:33 am

If you can pay private for medical canabis, in the uk i think everyone should be able to get access to it because of the benefits it brings. I am a medical patient everything people used to say about canabis is bs ask a doctor you will find out

  18. @Tebbit38 on May 6, 2025 at 10:34 am

Weed should be legalised for medicinal purposes thats it not just for sake getting stoned

  19. @Astrophobia88 on May 6, 2025 at 10:34 am

I literally buy my cannibis from a Shop that is known as a harm reduction center. I have a weed card and if i get caught from the police with it on me, they wouldnt take it from me…..

  20. @Craicfox161 on May 6, 2025 at 10:37 am

You only have to look at other countries to see how far behind Britain is on this

  21. @cjayrton on May 6, 2025 at 10:37 am

I get med cannabis for something nobody wants……why have they priced medical cannabis at street level prices?…..the answer is hard to get your head around

  27. @antonycampbell1986 on May 6, 2025 at 10:43 am

If alcohol is allowed then why not weed when weed is safer for you than caffeine, and the benefits from eating edibles, useing creams making canna butter useing the plant for its fiber to make hemp creat with is better for the world there’s so many benefits from useing the plant and if and mp’s husband is allowed to grow it in England for export then why can’t the people be allowed to use it, its a joke

  28. @WarrenDovey on May 6, 2025 at 10:43 am

Can’t believe you are still having an issue with this. We have had it legal for a couple of years in ZA now and amazingly, no issues Who would have thunk it….

  29. @dombarnes7092 on May 6, 2025 at 10:45 am

Free the weed💪💪 just like most other countries

  30. @URFUTUREUK on May 6, 2025 at 10:47 am

It hasnt been decrimanalised, police are still rude about it. Yes it needed legalising before the assisted dying bill. The fact that that was passsd first is criminal.

  31. @safetyHTY83 on May 6, 2025 at 10:47 am

All drugs should be legal never mind cannabis

  32. @beatboxmusic9795 on May 6, 2025 at 10:48 am

    Legalise it

  33. @annarosetarot on May 6, 2025 at 10:51 am

I does amaze me how you can drink a bottle of vodka and go to work the next day apparently able to get your job done but if you smoke a joint the night before apparently you can’t do your job efficiently it’s ludicrous it needs to be decriminalised first

  34. @brendasg155 on May 6, 2025 at 10:52 am

More weed dealers are selling coke and heroin now because there are too many people selling weed. Imagine what it would be like if they legalised it

  35. @TartanBlondie100 on May 6, 2025 at 10:53 am

It’s legal with a prescription in uk and has been since 2018. Just can’t mix it with tobacco. Do your research better. I’m sitting with my prescription now ✌🏻❤️

  36. @Dang6712 on May 6, 2025 at 10:53 am

Cannabis use has been proven to cause psychological problems to users with many of them ending up in the puzzle factory, its also detrimental to health inhaling anything except air, people who say cannabis is harmless have a one sided view point and hopefully see sense before the big C comes knocking at their lungs.

  40. @sulinamedlock-gj4vp on May 6, 2025 at 10:56 am

Thailand did n they were the strictest country, it has hidden benefits that’s why they criminalise it , yet the UK is the biggest supply of it , Teresa mays husband has the biggest grow plot

  41. @TheHidden-ny4rk on May 6, 2025 at 10:58 am

Got my medical prescription…. Cannabis rules……
Will never be legal in the UK as we produce the most medical cannabis exported.

  42. @Craicfox161 on May 6, 2025 at 10:59 am

Although Lib Dems have advocated for legalisation so maybe they’ll get a word in

  43. @terrymullins3292 on May 6, 2025 at 10:59 am

  44. @mikefoster9529 on May 6, 2025 at 10:59 am

If smoking it isn’t good for you legalise edibles.

  45. @safetyHTY83 on May 6, 2025 at 11:01 am

People are using it anyway so why not legalise it and create pubs/bars/jobs and a whole entire money maker to boost our economy

  46. @OllyO-gt8pg on May 6, 2025 at 11:03 am

should be legal. even if your get mega stoned…6 hours later your straight again..unlike alcohol, the tax will fill the £20bn black hole lol, stigmatized as a drug when alcohol is lol, natural god given plant, no one has ever directly died from cannabis abuse..you just pass out lol, unlike alcohol.

  47. @josephinepalfreyman6665 on May 6, 2025 at 11:08 am

Lots of drugs are defacto legal, we have all been in the chemists when Heroine addicts come and get their state paid for methadone, and then use heroine on top, there are so many of them that they are also allowed to keep their children. There has NEVER been a true war on drugs, drugs of all kinds have become socially acceptable.

  48. @superangybog4063 on May 6, 2025 at 11:12 am

Think of all the money the government could make on taxable cannabis

  49. @TribalmonkeyS on May 6, 2025 at 11:12 am

Cannabis was never made illegal for health reason in the first place! It’s a herbal medicine and relatively harmless . Even in the U.S where Nixon started the war on drugs etc it’s legal in half the states .

3 million alcohol related deaths a year . 0 deaths from cannabis

  50. @gangatree123 on May 6, 2025 at 11:14 am

18 years smoking cannabis I work full time my only criminal records are because of stupid old draconian law!Time to keep up legalize and tax
