Patrick in office it will never happen. Moved to Oklahoma from Texas for medical marijuana treatment for ptsd and head and neck injury with medical marijuana instead of 4 bottles of pain pills and 3 bottles if others.

Legalizing is necessary, because too many young adults lives are being ruined with a criminal record for possession. Id rather face a stoned driver than a drunk driver. There are so many things it is medically effective for.

I wonder how much money big pharmaceutical companies pump into Dan Patricks campaign coffers. I’m a conservative through and through, but legalization only makes sense, if kids can’t get alcohol they won’t be able to get cannabis… like they don’t already 🙄

  5. @davidelfrosty275 on August 3, 2025 at 2:19 pm

Dan Patrick is still a virgin

Went to a few dispensaries in Trinidad CO, I couldn’t count all the Texas plates I saw in the parking lots. I couldn’t help but think how much money is leaving Texas. Colorado said they hope Texas enacts a 25 yr prison for getting caught with a joint.

What I don’t get is there’s tax money to b had n the people will pay it but the government’s don’t want it so weget taxed the way we don’t want to pay. This is a no brainer n if forsome reason it doesn’t work change it back or modify it. I think we need to try things without so much back n forth bullshit n if so change it for the better or jus say it didn’t work n drop it n move on I’m tired of feeling like the screw can b turned in by someone else. I’d like to turn it myself where I choose at least sometimes.

We need to get all of these idiots out of Texas office. We need new leaders some that aren’t illiterate and blind to their ignorance!

  9. @YaBoyDanny1996 on August 3, 2025 at 2:20 pm

Legalize recreational marijuana safer than any other drugs out there and there is more than one way to consume it on light tobacco and in my opinion Texas as well as the rest of the United States needs to make a law things need to be 100% natural for them to be fit for human and animal consumption

  10. @trevornapier6790 on August 3, 2025 at 2:20 pm

Remove the need for state and local agencies to crack down on this plant. I don’t know of anyone who would be behind giving this substance to children unless extreme circumstances require it (a child is dying and it helps them tremendously). I’m very certain our politicians would put in criminal offences for providing this substance to minors in addition to driving under the influence. It’s currently a victimless crime where it shouldn’t be. In addition to this, the law is being disproportionately applied to people of color. I suggest many of you to look up the documentary series "Weediquette" and watch a few episodes (don’t get stuck on the first episode with children).

They vote no on marijuana while they pop their prescription pills and wash it down with alcohol. Texas, where we have the freedom to not wear a mask and put others in danger, but not the freedom to smoke marijuana which harms no one.

  21. @mikeking7351 on August 3, 2025 at 2:29 pm

Citizens are not recognizing the truth behind weed being illegal. The entity that owns the US Dollar along with most large corporations in America…. including the alcohol industry views it as direct competition. They made it illegal to ensure citizens continue to buy alcohol. It has NOTHING to do with "drugs" and "safety"……..IT HAS TO DO WITH MONEY. People would not spend the enormous amounts being charged for alcohol when they can grow weed-free in their house…..have fewer health problems and no hangover. Legalizing it will result in a controlled cash cow just like alcohol. They will legalize its sale but not it "growing in your basement"…… which will be against the law! It is all about money……. it is not about the citizen’s benefit. We live in a world of constant and increasing controls in every single aspect of our lives.

  24. @bluesman97 on August 3, 2025 at 2:36 pm

Let’s hope that Texas uses the revenue of the marijuana sales instead of.. using our Homes property taxes as their cash cow. I starting to feel like I’m a renter and
that’s not good as a senior on a fixed income.

  25. @JAHandJOSH on August 3, 2025 at 2:37 pm

F+*^ the Texas Laws’s on this. it helps with my headaches and I’m a veteran as well. So the Lt Gov and the Texas republicans can f-off my ish. The Lt Governor needs to hit some good ish and listen to the people of Texas.

  26. @WaketheSheeple on August 3, 2025 at 2:37 pm

    END the Circus!

It’s clear the problem is the people in charge and not the innocent people partaking in a activity that’s safer than beer and cigarettes.

Dan Patrick and Greg Abbott need to go to make this goal achievable.

Vote them out, Dan Patrick doesn’t represent me or my values and what I can consume.

Freedom of choice is freedom indeed, and after all it’s safer than the alcahol that’s already legal 👍💚🐯

  31. @willtrap4food698 on August 3, 2025 at 2:48 pm

I used to be staunchly anti weed, then things happened and I realized I was so short sighted. I understand anti weed people because I came from a conservative household and was taught from day 1 it was basically satan in the form of a plant. For those of you concerned about it being legalized, it’s not harmful, not anymore at least than alcohol. If you drink but denounce weed, you are a major hypocrite, and if you don’t drink, but think alcohol should be legal while weed is illegal, you are also a hypocrite. Alcohol is a drug that is arguably much less safer than weed. I honestly think it’s ridiculous now that people get their panties in a twist over people using cannabis, and I use to be that ridiculous person. If you’re anti weed and reading this, I ask you to put behind all your previous biases and rumors you’ve heard about weed, and it look at it through a neutral lens. And honestly, smoke a joint and you realize how stupid you were

Texas has been doing right all these decades, why change something that is working good. Look at how many people are flooding to live here, so there is the proof it doesnt need to change.

  34. @stevenjohnson8736 on August 3, 2025 at 2:53 pm

California will always be a better than the state of Texas and that’s 100% fact 😃

    State of TAXES

  42. @skullymack6708 on August 3, 2025 at 2:59 pm

Texas Republican Politicians are quite comfortable with the amount of money they collect from jailing mostly blacks and, hispanics for minor weed offenses and, getting the privatized jail kick back cash they set up long ago as well as, continuing their FAKE CHRISTIAN VALUES LIE (EVERY MINORITY FELON CREATED IS ONE LESS POTENTIAL DEMOCRATIC VOTER OF THE FUTURE)… Texans do not have the right to vote for themselves on the issue (IMAGINE THAT) which leaves it to the corrupt racist Republicans who are smoking as they please at the mansion daily. Surrounding legal states politicians are laughing at our elected fools all the way to the bank as they watch their weekend weed tourists pile in by the thousands to spend millions to enjoy what every state with a brain has now accepted…Texas Law Enforcement doesn’t seem to care one way or, the other about weed – They just do the job asked of them by these CLOWNS!

  43. @SqeakyToy on August 3, 2025 at 3:00 pm

It need to legal and the state needs the $$$$

  50. @davidromancelly on August 3, 2025 at 3:15 pm

The main reason marijuana is still illegal in TX is because of Dan Patrick & Greg Abbott (also Ted Cruz & Ken Paxton) There were over 60 bills filed in the TX legislature and only TWO of them passed! Ridiculous!! & the bills really weren’t that big of a change either. Dan Patrick dismisses all reform bills and delays legalization ……but I’ve been reading a lot & I really think TX is ready for change, when the elections come back around the people will know who to vote for and Abbot and Patrick will be OUT. Vote in officials who are pro-legalization and NOT in the pockets of legalizations competitors
